I would give 0 stars if I could. Some prices are decent if you can get the specials in stock, which is a rare occurrence. Service is atrocious and I think I'd rather spend a few cents more to be treated like a human being. Staff are arrogant and clearly think it's more important to talk about their weekend with other employees than to actually help a customer asking for help. I work in retail and I get that it's not easy to work retail right now; but when I go into a store and spend money there I expect a bare minimum of consideration. I've had several occasions at this store where staff have been unhelpful or even arrogant and try to give them another chance, but management REALLY needs to coach their staff better. As for Covid measures: clearly non-existent. Many staff and customers alike don't even wear masks, the half-capacity is not only ignored but at peak hours they allow the parking lot and the store to fill up and customers are practically stepping on each other like cattle. Seriously, get it together guys!

In this time of COVID and rules, as a citizen and (former) customer of this place on St. Martin in Chomedey, Laval, I always follow them for the safety and protection of all. This store does not. Several employees were incorrectly wearing their masks, including those handling food, several did not keep the required distance, and when I asked for assistance to keep a customer from repeatedly getting too close to me and finally attacking me with her cart (which did give me bruises), they allowed her and her terrified children to keep shopping while I was asked to leave as I was rightfully extremely upset at being attacked. Perhaps the mask I was wearing and the language I was speaking were offensive to them: it was of the Canadian flag and I spoke English. Based on what she said to me, the directrice adjoint is clueless as to why masks are worn, and she told me directly that they do not follow all rules, that they decide themselves which ones to abide or not abide by. If you value your health and safety, please stay away from this location that NEEDS to be shut down. I’ll continue shopping at the other locations under this banner that actually do care about their customers and have no problem abiding by ALL the rules, in addition to shopping instead at the numerous nearby grocery stores when I’m in the area.

If I live put of Quebec, I CANNOT use my Out-of-Province Credit Card to shop Online. Called Customer support 2x n they put me through to the store directly. First time no resolution order got canceled. Secondly time hot to the store and the "manager - Veronique" could not communicate with me in English. She said I am in Quebec.she REFUSED to help me and AGAIN my order was canceled. I do believe my NAME did not help me also. Unprofessional Customer support calling in and local store. Many other places to go that this Maxi!!!

I like Maxi store. For me it's one of the cheapest retailer in Canada and you don't need to buy in bulks. In the rayon for meat you can find lots of offer each time. They also sell halal meat.

It's a very inexpensive grocery store with houseware items as well. Also if you have a PC financial optimum card you can gain points with certain items and also get discounts with your reward points . It's very easy and convenient to use with the optimum card application. Great specials and low prices.

Great location. Large parking area. In-store aisles are a good distance apart. Great in restocking items on shelves that I haven't had the need to go elsewhere. At checkout...It's good to see a number of cashes open and to see the flow process with minimal lineup time.

For the third week couldn't find oat milk in their fridges . Last time walked out without my regular 4 liters jar of 2% also and it was around midday . Their milk display had many empty spots . When asked the employee said it is the distributors fault . Though once before the employee looked in the store and got me the oat milk I asked for . Service is good . Employees are nice and helpful and nice store . Just the milk issue

If I could, I would rate the service a 0. As soon as I arrived to the cash, the older lady who was the cashier started removing my items and saying that I was buying too many things. For example, I bought 6 packs of chicken and she took a pack from the conveyer saying I was buying too much. She was giving a bunch of attitude and being extremely rude. I don't even know if she's allowed to do that. I find that customer service over the years has gotten worse and people don't care anymore.

I am not rating the quality of the food. I am rating one simple thing which personally I find to be insulting towards its clientele. You need to get what looks like a dollar and place it inside their cart (basically something that I haven't since the 90's), which prevents people from stealing it. But, if truth be told, it's really there to prevent the homeless from taking the carts. I find this dehumanizing. In any event, for a while now, we have been going to Adonis and Costco instead. I cannot respect this practice and will never go there any longer unless I really need something urgently.
