8 yrs doing all our groceries here. Customer service was amazing, and the feeling when you left was the best. The prices were always higher, and we didn't mind because of this.....however.
Something is starting to go wrong, and I write this review declaring my family has stopped going there, just by habit. Not because of a single grief. Just too many little ones in the last year.
Christmas decorations before remembrance day is disrespectful.
The displacement of the aisles by non-grocery sections is confusing; unable to find staple products due to this randomness is frustrating.
Understocked items is really frustrating. Freshness is still excellent. Service personnel are always kind. Self- checkouts reducing staffing.... not a fan.
Tonight was my last visit. (but the last dozen trips made me grumpy too).
I spent an hour trying to find a dozen staple items, and the feeling was about equal to when you don't have a dollar to borrow a shopping cart at a Super-C. Enough to make sure you don't come back. Onions, potatoes, red peppers, frozen pie-dough, heavy cream, swiss cheese. (quiche ingrediants). Every single one of these was a challenge in some way.
1lb of swiss cheese.... in 4 different places at 4 dramatically different prices. The kale/spinach was hidden in the absolute corner. The veg section has been reduced in size, and I still missed the peppers 3 times. Frozen pie dough.....forget about it. I found tiny frozen pie crusts (stupid small) in one section, frozen pizza dough in another, and frozen pastries in yet a 3rd. I went home and made my own (really grumpy about that one). Heavy cream? nope. just table cream. 2lb red onions.....both (ready there were only 2) bags were ripped and someone had removed onions....because the individual onions were gone too. The veg section is under-stocked.
But if you want to go buy specialty skin cream and biological ingredients, maybe this store is for you.
I don't mind paying more for groceries. I need a store that I can leave from WITH THE GROCERIES I NEED.
