Room service rings forever and goes to voicemail over and over when ordering breakfast. Front desk says “you should book in advance to have breakfast in bed when you want...”. It’s 10 o’clock. Had to order Uber eats for breakfast in bed. Pricey hotel, expect more for price.

Be careful when you want to go by your car and stay in this hotel. There is no safe parking for this hotel. My car has been stolen in their parking lot and they did nothing.They have a small camera which even doesn't cover one tenth of the whole parking lot and there is no security for checking in the parking. They just asked you about your car information and that's it. It stays on the paper. It has a great location for thieves because they can have easy access to highways and steal people's car in just a minute.

A budget hotel bit need to address breakfast to meet quality of other IHG hotels

Fairly new, nice hotel. No wi-fi in rooms, huh? Managed to royally mess up my billing, including assigning someone elses name to my PC card. That is a no-no. Otherwise it's just fine. 7/10

Nice and clean place, the waiter was nice as well, some choice limit on the menu, but what was out of the menu was delicious, if you like lamb meat as I do!

I started to go to the Holiday Inn Laval Montréal before May 8. I went back on May 8 because I was completely satisfied with the service I had. My stay was very plaisant even if I am in a wheel chair. They looked after me as I was family member.

This hotel is very well located in the heart of Laval, however, the staff will not help you if you did not book directly through them. The rooms are old and stuffy. I went in the summer time and their ventilation system is so old, it was impossible to control the humidity in the room. Some of the staff were unfriendly and quite rude.

Holiday Inn Laval – August 10 -12 Arrived at around 11 a.m. to see if there were rooms available (we looked online at various hotels prior to coming so we knew what to expect for rates). Asked for a king and they were able to accommodate immediately. They could even check us in as a room was ready. The hotel is an older hotel. The room we were given had a very stale/stuffy smell. Even after opening the window and letting the air conditioner run, it wouldn’t go away. Talked to the front desk and they were very understanding and gave us another room one floor higher. The air quality was a bit better but still on the stuff side.. The room was dated but clean but the carpet seemed really old and in need of replacement. Bathroom was a bit on the small side. Hubby is quite tall and has to duck to get under the spray. Shower has great water pressure. The toilet, however, you need to hold the handle down to flush it. Also, the bed creaked every time you moved or rolled over. I noticed the bed creaked in both rooms The hotel was replacing the elevators so only one of the two was operational. It is a very busy hotel and the elevator that is operational is very slow. At first it was a minor inconvenience but as more people started checking in, it became a problem -the reason being is that hotel staff (cleaning staff and laundry staff) also had to use the same elevator. Trying to fit guests with luggage and staff with large rolling bins of laundry was not ideal. One time I went to get my son's stroller from the vehicle and passed a group of 5 coming in. The same group was still waiting for the elevator when I got back from the car with the Stroller. There are stairs but they are located on the exterior of the building and there are 6 floors. If I didn’t have a baby with baby gear, I would have took the stairs to the 5th floor where my room was. Pool was a bit dirty. The water was slightly cloudy but I was grossed out when twice I had long hair that wasn’t mine brush against my leg. Hotel is in walking distance of a large mall with lots of food choices as well as a large outdoor mall called Centropolis. There are a lot of food and entertainment options close by. You get 10% off at the Boston Pizza at Centropolis when you show your room key which is a plus as I have a one year old how loves pasta. We had a billing issue when checking out. We were charged more than initially quoted. We had also expressed our dissatisfaction with the toilet and elevators. However the front desk compensated us for the error and our concerns. Despite the compensation, I probably wouldn’t stay here gain. This hotel needs a major updating, it’s just too old.

IHG member who searched all Montreal IHG properties for the Grand Prix weekend and chose this one because it was the best value overall in price, location, amenities, accessibility to bus, metro, shopping. I was pleasantly wowed by the outstanding service of all staff.

I've stayed at this hotel several times over the last few months. The manager Frederic remebered me by name when I saw him in the lobby. Nice friendly staff and a great location with many different restaurants in the area. Carrefour Mall is across the street, easy to walk to.

Beware: kids don't eat free if you book through a third party. We had booked through Expedia and this was an unpleasant surprise for us. I spoke to the manager at the front desk and although this detail wasn't clear to us at the time of booking and my kids are all under 5 and don't eat much, he (Frédéric Bilodeau) still wouldn't offer us the perk. He even noted that there were other people with the same problem and he couldn't refund everyone. Well, that tells me that there is obviously something misleading about the free breakfast policy. Frédéric ended up adding a note about a credit for our next stay at this specific hotel, but there's no way we're ever staying there again. There are many other hotels around that I'm sure would have absorbed this cost and admitted that the fine print about the breakfast is not clear. Otherwise our stay was ok. Food was good and room was clean. Pool was decent, but lacked a hot tub.

They have no microwaves in the rooms, unless you pay extra for them. The whole place smells questionable, the keys rarely work and there's no breakfast. Additionally, the people staying in front of my room were obnoxiously loud, and there's was a naked lady arguing with someone km the hallway. Definitely would not recommend.

All was good with our stay, however I don't like the increased cost for a fridge. It may not be required in every room, but to raise the rate for one is just cheap. It lowers the entire stay. It cheapens the name Holiday Inn.

Great, well located and outstanding staff. My only discomfort was the bed since I have to paid for an additional bed for my son but it was completely horrible. The bars got into his ribs, no cushion what so ever, blanket very thin; I requested an extra comforter to help the cushion and I received a blanket instead.
