DESCRIPTION

We've got the reviews of people who bought the services and products of Whistlers Campground (Kindergarten) in the area close to Jasper (Canada).

At the moment the firm gets a score of 4.5 out of 5 and that rating has been calculated on 127 reviews.

You may have noticed that the average score it has is practically the highest, and it's founded on a very high number of opinions, so we can think that the evaluation is quite credible. If there are many people who bothered to rate when they've done well with the business, is that it works.

You know that we do not usually bother to place evaluations when these are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...

Brand new campground opened as of July 2021. The bathrooms, campgrounds, and sights are what make this a relaxed camping experience. The bathrooms are equipped with showers, toilets, and sinks outside for dishes.

David Hamstra

This site did not have the most private tent pads as other parks, but is super close to Jasper and a lot of sights nearby. On our last night we had calving elk swing through which was a great experience. Great driving views all around. Can't wait to see the reconstructed Whistlers. Note - reconstruction to occur in Fall 2018 through 2019

So many many many camping spots, free hot showers and with a nightly cost for firewood you can use as much as you need. Had a really close visit from our native neighbors and just loved this place. So close to town and a cheap shuttle bus too! Will stay here again

Excellent Campground. Close to town, we just stayed for one night so it was really nice to be so close to everything. We got a site with a fire permit, wood was included in the cost. Huge renovation, new pavement and parking lots etc. Bathroom houses are large and showers are included. Sinks for washing dishes outside the main door. Bear safe garbage and recycling near by. I looked at Google maps satellite view to book a site where there were trees, you could call the Campground and ask on-site staff as well. Lots of availability while we stayed. Only downside was someone was in our booked site when we arrived, but the staff immediately moved us to another one that was just as good (27AA).

(Translated) The newly renovated camp, toilets and bathrooms are very clean, the overall environment is good, only about ten minutes to the small town of Jasper, it is very convenient to go everywhere (Original) 新装修的营地,卫生间和浴室都非常干净,整体环境好,到Jasper小镇只有十分钟左右,去哪里都很方便

No complaints! Our site didn’t have a fire pit (our bad for booking late) but it was nicely shaded and the site was very large with a good amount of gravel (though it was not very private but that’s not a big deal if you’re just staying there during the evening). I really loved that the bathrooms/ showers were just redone- they look very modern and were clean the whole 3 days we were there. The staff was friendly and informative at check in. I also liked that staff would drive around occasionally. Will definitely stay there again next time we visit Jasper!

(Translated) The road leading to the newly built public toilets and showers and the clean campsite has been really good for 3 days and 2 nights. As it is a public toilet and shower facility, it was frequently cleaned and kept clean by Parks Canada staff. The kindness of the staff when entering the room helped me to check-in smoothly and understandably using only simple English words. I'm planning to go to Whistler Campground next year as well. I was able to finish my first fantastic camping trip safely in a place where you can really see the stems of the Rocky Mountains, so I left good memories with my family.

Great privacy Clean washroom + shower (only family shower has some drain issue) When you select the non electric campsite there are lots of privacy.

2 year Reno and everything looks good.... However lots in the 50's are barren. No trees, shade or privacy. Granted they had lots of dead trees to deal with and in time things will look great. But until then it's a parking lot...

Great camp ground. We having been coming here several times a year for more than 25 years. We were sad to see all the Pine trees die from Mountain Pine Beetle, but the new renovations open a new chapter for the campground. It will take several years for things to begin to grow back and fill in, and we look forward to seeing the transition.

Andrew “Midder” Doran-Bowing

Awsome experience. Breathing fresh air, any restaurant cant beat experience of cooking and eating food with fire.

Cassi Model (Cassi Adult Model)

First time staying at whistlers campground. Elk can be seen daily. Bathrooms are washrooms are fairly well maintained. Could be a bit cleaner but I can also see why they are doing some upgrades next year as they are quite dated. I'd love to come back in 2020 to see the updates!

Shameful! After four years of being closed for construction this is the mess that has been made! There used to be trees here. An absolute disgrace to Parks Canada. The site wasn’t even level.

Best campground to date!! Reopened after renovations. Great facilities with super helpful staff. Short drive from town. Definitely coming back here. ????

Trista Rivard

The sites have what you need (fire pit, table, and a building with clean washrooms). The ground is very gravely and uncomfortable to sleep on. It’s also hard to put tent pegs into the ground. Not the best for back country equipment. Very little privacy.

Gorgeous

Dropped by to check it out. Wow it is changed! **Full disclosure* Whistler is letting people know there has been a drastic change in tree coverage both from putting infrastructure and as result of the pine beetles** Tent/trailer area is still relatively treed (as in some privacy), pull through full hook up just about no tree coverage. For tent areas super convenient food storage lockers to deter bears and animals in general. Power sites depends on which loop you are considering. Some have more tree coverage than others. It does look like they have already begun planting, with some trees being a foot high others smaller. Majority of loops have toilets (flushies), personal showers (wheel chair accessible showers and bathrooms as well) and an enclosed area for communal eating. There are a number of nice play structures, we had lunch near the outdoor amphitheatre. At that location there is a very nice little self use recycling building that is not just bottles.

Miriam Menzies

Recently renovated but no shade. This is one of the best campgrounds in Canadian Rockies. It was recently renovated so has new bathroom and showers. Bathrooms also have lockers with USB port, to charge your phones and batteries. This is the only campground I have seen with such lockers. Campsites has a theater, playground and enough paths to keep kids busy. Each site has enough space for families with kids and dogs. Watch out for herds of elk passing through, in the morning and evening. And be prepared for bears. The only negative is that trees were cut/burnt down so you don't get as much privacy as in other campgrounds. Also, very little shade. Some loops have absolutely no trees. Can become a pain on very hot days.

Carla Soto

Beautiful renovated campground. Though lots of trees are removed, there are some loops where you can still have plenty of trees.

angie gouthro

Great renovation of an old gem! The only reason I didn't give four stars is just the openness due to the mitigation of the dreaded pine beetles. The lack of trees have made for amazing views. Washroom and shower facilities are cleaned regularly and all the sites are nice and level. Nice big sani-dump and even some parking for the trailer after you check out so you can spend a few more hours in the park without the hassle of your rig. Even got to see some of the residents out the window of our trailer!

Nice campground with showers and toilets

Enes Celik

Don't let the pictures on the reservations tool fool you, there are almost no trees in the campsite. Thanks to the mountain pine beetle, it's pretty much an open field, and there is no camping privacy. Having said that the facilities are excellent. The washrooms and showers are fantastic. There are always elk running around the campsite. It is a nice treat to hear them bugle right in the site.

Clara Hildebrand

We spent four nights at Whistlers and had a great time. We really enjoyed the campground (tent camping). PROS - Nice and large shaded sites (we were on site 25N) - Clean showers, plenty of them (no line for men's) - Wapitis walking all around the campground! A big hit with our kids - Best rangers' program we saw on our trip. Do not miss the "Bats in the dark" show, it's an absolute blast (my kids went to see it twice) - Great family vibe, no loud groups but yet lively CONS - It's very, very large. For us it didn't matter (you "live" in your loop anyway), but for some it may be bothersome - This will soon not matter (as per the revamping of the campground), but a single shower building for the whole campground meant a lot of walking for some (we had picked our site strategically based on this)

Becca Shears

This campground has just been completely redeveloped. Very few trees due to massive numbers of beetle-killed trees being removed. The surrounding forest is full of these dead trees. The campground is designed with a perimeter road and multiple circles with drive through sites. We chose a full service site. Nice gravel sites with fire rings and free firewood. Good privacy due to design of sites. If you are beside other RVs.

When you stay in the sites with no power, you get the time limited noise from generators everywhere. If you need power and can't get a site here, Wapiti has an overflow for a reasonable rate.

One of the best Campgrounds we have been to so far. The washrooms definitely made the experience unique, and the proximity of the place to all the attractions is a plus. I will try to go there again next year, maybe in summer. The only downside of the area is the privacy is still low from my perspective. I know it states moderate on the site, but I believe it's low. Still live the experience. Also, the main office closes around 11, so that makes checking way easy. Last note, we have heard that about 8 pm elks are everywhere around the tents. So keep your food away, we haven't seen them, to be honest, but always safe than sorry.

Whistlers Campground has been our home for over two weeks this summer. Smoke and all, it’s still been all right, the central playground and upgraded amenities bring together a comfortable experience that my kids enjoy. I can have my outdoor kitchen and coffee and my kids can swing all day if they like and it’s all good. While my kids are still to young to go on hikes, the location is within a 30 minute drive of many incredible adventures that we are excited to to be a part of when they are older. Pre-covid whistlers used to have great activities like geocaching, or stage performances at their outdoor amphitheater. However these programs are still Suspended. We look forward to having them back as they fostered environmental stewardship and wilderness safety among the younger kids helping it stick much better into adulthood. (We know the adults have a hard time with this still) Thanks Parks Canada for keeping these running. We missed them.

We stayed at this site in May 2018 and it was perfect. We had a nice little site near the back of the campground and had few neighbours during our stay. Unfortunately, the pine beetles in this region have decimated many of the large pines which means the area is a tinderbox for forest fires. Consequently we arrived to learn that a fire ban had been announced. Despite all that, our stay was exactly what we had hoped it would be. The bathrooms were clean and so were the outdoor sinks for washing dishes. The showers were pretty clean but you will have to push the button over and over again to keep the water flowing. The campground officials were respectful and friendly. Go see Jasper! It’s a magical place. You WILL see lots of wildlife so if that’s your thing, book it now.

Great campground, in the rebuild stage. Elk walking right through our site.

Shaun Brzezicki

Pros: Location! Beautiful scenery. New and clean washroom and shower facilities. It is great having sites that include power, water AND sewer. Pull through sites. Cons: There is no non-emergency # for problems/concerns you must attend the front desk. The fire pits are on the smaller side more often than not the firewood provided didn't fit in the pit. Never saw a Park Ranger once for the whole week we stayed. Thankfully most of the other guests were respectful of the rules.

Have stayed here a few years in a row and am always happy with my stay. The staff are very friendly and the accommodations are what you'd expect. Bonus is all the wildlife you'll see!

Flynn Nixon

Awesome campground! Renovations turned out really good. Upgraded bathrooms with charging stations, if you don’t want to fully disconnect. Showers are clean and comfortable. Dish washing station with 2 sinks at the back of the same building. They kept the original cooking/kitchen shelters which is a nice mix of old and new. Amazing friendly staff, easy check in and fire permit and firewood are included in nightly cost. Yes lots of trees were lost due to pine beetle and not due to construction so bring sun shelter for those hot days. Elk will stroll in the evenings and mornings right near campsite so have your camera ready. Whistlers you did a great job never disappoint. Till next time… ❤️

Klaus Rong

If you are from BC, and have camped in the Provincial parks, you will be disappointed with Whistlers!! I understand that they cut all trees down due to Mountain pine beetle, but Full hookup sites are basically a parking lot, we ended up moving to a site with no services and no firepit in order to find some trees and privacy. Yes, the washrooms are very nice, but I don't rate a campsite on washrooms!! Wouldn't stay here or Wapiti(heard it's the same there) again.

Plumeria Bodhisattva

Anne Carroll

Cool place but a site with no water, electric or sewer nor a fire pit is awfully boring. I ran my generator 30 minutes to long and got a talking to, it was 92 degrees outside and there wasn't a soul around since we were in the nose bleeds; 29 and 30. Stay away from them. We did see some wildlife in the campground. Also showers were cold and tear your skin off. Let down for Jasper imo

Josh Reid

Huge place with surprisingly good privacy between campsites and a nice playground for kids. Very shady so the site is cool even if it's 30° outside. However, the women's bathroom sucks. Not really Parks Canada's fault though as they have many sinks. The majority of women camping out spent ages putting on tons of makeup and styling their hair at the sinks (which are in front of the mirrors), so I wound up having to wait 30 minutes each morning just to brush my teeth. Conversely my husband never had any waits in the men's bathroom.

Afshin

Beautiful place, sadly only one shower building with a few showers. Showers are, however, well maintained and very clean.

Ekaterina Ilyushina

Love our site!!! Great wash house, bathrooms flushable and clean. Parks, trails and wonderful programs at the amphitheatre daily.

אורי רונן

Always love staying in this campground

Ginger Poetz

We spend a week at Whistler’s campground every summer for July 1st. This campground is like no other full service campground anywhere. All the sites are “treed”, they are all pull through (if one is RV'ing it), and if you’re lucky, you can get one with a fire pit. The campsites, however, get reserved very fast so one has to be ready to reserve when the reservation site launches which is usually in early - mid January. It is unfortunate that for the 2019 season it will be closed for upgrades (or at least that is my understanding).

Mario Chrétien

Brucce Cabral

Highly recommend. We will definitely stay here again. Lots of Elk, for the animal watchers. Very clean park. Lots of indoor washrooms and showers (free). Free firewood. Lots of Food storage compartments. Lots of Group cooking shelters. Great staff. ☆☆☆All your food, drinks, coolers and cooking supplies MUST BE STORED INSIDE YOUR VEHICLE. This is MANDATORY to prevent bear encounters.

Robert Pettigrew

Newly renovated campground has lot of positives. Spacious parking for Registration, Great services, beautiful views of Mountains. Most of the old pine trees were removed due to pine beetle but it will look nicer by the year.

Love camping at whistlers! It’s a great family campground and they keep their bathrooms clean. Some of their campsites are a little open, so try to find an enclosed one if you can! Lots of elk roam through and it’s close to Jasper town and a lot of great hikes.

This campground has clean washrooms, shower rooms and garbage bins. My husband and I have been here twice this year and would recommend this site for tent campers, like us. We really enjoyed seeing the regular group of elks passing by early morning and afternoon. Not to mention, listening to the rhythm of birds singing at dawn. This made us realize how lucky we were to have experienced this rare sight and sound of these lovely creatures which we would never see or hear in our place where we came from. The only negative was some campers lack the courtesy and right manners for passing thru our campsite as their easy access to washrooms.

Samuel Harvey

Bit of a Wallmart parking lot with asperations of being a wilderness camp grounds. A little sparse for privacy anywhere close to the new shower bathroom buildings and full service loops are clear cut, with artfully designed ground cover with local floral planted between sites and drift wood(??).

Josh Moore

Imran Mohammed

Where did all the trees go? Basically looks like a shantytown camp ground. Roads are a big improvement. Out buildings look great but no longer looks like an inviting place to camp.

Nice place. They are renovating it 2019.

Val Companiytsev

Kenneth Fung (Kenneth Fung)

No trees means LOTS of noise. Highway noise all night. Neighbors headlights, engine noise from everywhere. Conversations are load from closeby. No trees means no buffer. Less than spectacular.

Rob MacMillan

No privacy no protection from the elements rocks with twigs and spray grass everywhere. Been going here over 40 years but I’m not going back.

Emma Butler

Unfortunate that so many trees had to be cut due to beetle kill. The entire campground with exception of maybe a couple sites per loop and a couple loops in the back of park is wide open. Reno'd and more regional shower/bathrooms/sink buildings are nice altho 2 showers per these large buildings seems an underutilization of space. Big reg office is very plain and I can imagine the parking lot entrance and exit may create some confusion. Staff is great as per all my visits over the last 3 decades.I'll give it some time with the hopes that regrowth will bring the sites back to what they were.

Alan Duffy

This camp site is beautiful. Lots of wild life in the area. You will be surprise once you are hear. Try it and experience the total camping of a life time memories!

Paddy Calrissian

Got to wake up with elk at our front doors! Very cute and cozy camp ground.

I usually don't write reviews but we stayed at Whistlers for two nights. Sure there is no privacy due to the pine beetle but the views were beautiful, the new showers/bathrooms were great and the elk roaming the campground was the cherry on top to our stay here!

Garron Rinkel

Can not recommend that campground. We visited it in may. Three toilets around were closed. Only one shower building, which is not very close to most of the sites. All showers cold and not very clean. Quite expensive for this kind of service.

Awesome campground. Huge camping sites, beautiful nature, clean facilities. Nice staff.

Jacobo Porto

WOW! We booked a campsite and were so thoroughly impressed with the check-in process (extremely friendly staff, clear maps, and even stickers!!!) and the availability of free firewood. The campgrounds were recently renovated and they now have services such as flush toilets, free showers, dyson handryers, free charging stations for digital devices, etc. The washroom/showers were thoroughly cleaned daily. It felt like glamping LOL The campsites are slightly closer to other campsites compared to other campgrounds, but there were lots available when we visited so this wasn't a concern for us. We overheard some RV campers displeased at the lack of trees in the RV area - just something to keep in mind. The campground is still undergoing renovations so there is a noticeable lack of trees in the RV area.

This is by far my favorite place to camp. People are so friendly and the sites are so natural and spaciouse. I will come back time and time again!

This is one of our favourite campgrounds! It’s being fully renovated in 2019, and is scheduled to reopen in 2020.

John Schlenker

It was our first camping and was a great experiense there.

Vida barjesteh

Excellent campground. Close to the Jasper townsite. The large playground is awesome for kids, right next to a large open field where elk come to relax - Please don't get too close to the Elk people! I decided to try glamping in an oTentik with the family - it was an excellent experience. The oTentiks are grouped together, but have a lot of space between them for privacy. The staff keep them incredibly clean and they are well-maintained. Probably because of the cost of rental, the clientele in the other oTentiks were awesome - other families or people trying their first attempt at camping.

D Spoon

It's set up quite well with almost little communities/loops with a cook house and shower house with sinks outside. Some growing pains with some sites well treed and others not at all. I wouldn't suggest taking a site right by the local shower house as there's constant traffic and likely no privacy.

Awesome place. At the foot of the whistler mountain. And mountains all around. Recently renovated. So, the washrooms and toilets are very neat. Has full showers. Unless a fireban, you get firewood for your nightly fun. Kids will definitely enjoy. Serene and beautiful all around. Worth camping here for at least 3 nights to see thimgs around.

Dropped by without a reservation and the park was less than half full mid-afternoon. My guess is it's a zoo during high season. Really nice trees, privacy, fire pit, and picnic table in spot 43G. $33usd/night for a site with electricity. ???? has hot water only in the handicap accessible restroom which is enormous and very clean. Dishwashing station. ???? Friendly. Firewood station, potable water and dump within driving distance - this place is huge. No wifi but decent signal on Google fi. Lost one star because the other 2 showers were ????.

Incredible experience with an absolutely renovated campground. The toilet stations are clean and modern. You don't need to shell out money to buy firewood because they already offer it.

Emad Matty

Loved this newly renovated campground! The bathrooms are spectacular and the toilets and showers are by far the cleanest I've ever experienced camping! The sites are medium size with little tree cover due to the beatles infestation so be weary of having areas to tarp up! Bring a gazebo from rain protection. The campground is well run and clean with lots of garbage areas for trash and a very large playground for kids. There was also tons of wildlife we saw whole there! So many little birds and tons of elk just walking around.

Kiran Patel

Clean environment easy people to deal with

Kaylah Bhimani

Great campground, next to the Whistler's mountain so you can do the hike up and then come back down with the gondola if you like. The campsite is very comfortable and has hot water, which was amazing for us as we'd stayed in some cold-water places before that! There were lots of elk around. There's recycling bins for camp gas canisters, which was appreciated. Didn't try the showers so don't know what they are like (we went to the Miette hot springs instead!).

Terrible, terrible, terrible!! They should have spent another season doing their renovations! Our site was a parking pad surrounded by mud and water! Not a tree in site! The firewood that we paid the permit for was actually floating in a puddle!! When we asked for a different site they gave us one. Only problem was we had to drive across a small lake to get to it!! Would never stay here again! Very costly as well!

Clean bathrooms and sites in a beautiful area but no daily availability, even all the way up in Jasper!

It’s a great place with super clean washroom and shower and power plug. Only one thing you should consider is the privacy lol so once you book check the map and the layout. Cheers

(Translated) Very good installation. Very clean shower and bathroom. However no internet access on the site. Lots of wild life, take care to store your food properly. Amazing campsite! It's fairly new so some of the privacy bushes/trees are still growing but the campsites aren't that close to each other so it is still very private! The washrooms were EXCELLENT! Clean and well maintained. There is also a dedicated area to do your dishes. There was a herd of elk munching and walking through this campground. They were there the entirety of our stay. They were very majestic! Quite something opening up your tent firs thing in the morning and an elk stares right at you!

Great place one of my favorite campgrounds

Many camp spots and very empty around the time we were there back in 2018. It has been under construction so I'm not sure how it turned out but we loved it back then. There were some bear sightings around the time we were there so make sure you'll clean up after you eat.

Don Heinrichs

Awesome Camp Grounds. I am disabled so they allowed me to have a key with access to a private shower and bathroom. The Elk were not seen but we did hear a train or two at night. Perfect place as Jasper is around the corner where there is great food and people.

SHADOW COMEDY

Very large campground with decent privacy on most sites. Site and facilities are well maintained. 9$ per day for campfire fee but all the firewood is supplied. Weve stayed here 3 tumes over the years. Still our favorite spot near jasper.

Juvinar Santiago

Great campground for a new opening, trees are a sparse at the front portion, but wonderful in the rear spots. Given a few years as nature grows in this will be a wonderful stop. Bathrooms are clean and maintained well (also plentiful). Showers are also very nice for a public campground. Well done all involved.

It's a campsite. Plenty of mosquitoes, and when it says that privacy is moderate remember that that is the second worse option.

First time visiting Jasper and Whistlers Campground was very clean, quiet, and a great spot for a campground. Park staff were super helpful in directing us to our camp site and as well to getting the fire wood. I highly recommend camping here!

(Translated) Very nice camping, maybe they have few showers but there was a sign saying that they were going to add 17 in 2019 so I doubt there is better camping in the Jasper area. P.S. you have to book (Original) Muy buen camping, quizá tienen pocas duchas pero había un cartel diciendo qur iban a añadir 17 en 2019 así que dudo que haya mejor camping en la zona de Jasper. Surrounding by the mountains, this campsite is just beautiful and well maintained. Clean washroom and shower. Less privacy due to the removed trees, everything else is good.

This campground was closed last year to renovate and renew the entire place. Some areas aren't well treed but overall the campground is very nice. There seems to be some issues with the electrical and plumbing which you wouldn't expect with all the new equipment installed. The staff are pleasant and helpful and were very helpful with the problems I had. Hopefully they can get it all up and running smoothly soon.

Beware, pictures online are not what they are in person. I talked to a front desk attendant and it sounds like they know about the issue. I told them it would be far better to have no pictures and not set expectations. Pictures shown here is site 2M, as you can see it’s nothing like the photo in real life. Honestly otherwise all the facilities are new and very nice. I wouldn’t say it’s a bad campsite, just know your site may not be as it’s shown online.

Campground is getting an overhaul and is great so far. Missing some trees due to the pine beetle issue a while back but everything they've been doing is positive. Shower/washroom areas are kept clean and they have storage locker charging stations which is very smart for us tourists that need them. The camp sites themselves are nicely sized as well. Good job to the team(s) getting this area worked on!

Fantastic campsite. Bathroom and showers have been newly renovated so they were ridiculously clean which is great to see. They had a heard of elk roaming around which was a great piece of canadian wildlife right at your doorstep. Staff were very helpful. ????

New facilities!

Michael Ferrusi

Pretty clean. Book in advance. Bring a flashlight when you go to the washrooms at night. It can get cold when you sleep in a tent so make sure you bring enough clothes and something thick to sleep on.

Half of the campground has no trees after renovation, but mostly limited to o-tentik/RV side and sites near the road/entrance. Middle part and sites closer to the mountain are fine. Having the views - definitely an advantage. Seems better than Wapiti now after trimming. Just gotta find those sites that still have shade, but not fully covered. North/East side of loop #2 for example. New facilities look fresh, but build quality not the greatest. Shower water avoids the drain and leaks to main hall, rain comes through some seals etc. Hopefully there is some warranty and contractor will fix before next full season.

Decent sized sites but not tons of privacy due to sites being close together with no tree separation. Gets super busy in the summer (no shock there) but a good location if you want to be closer to the town. Looking forward to seeing how the campground looks after all the renovations this year!

Giané Pretorius

A great time the elk were plenty . The bathrooms were clean the showers were needed the views are awesome the staff was nice . I will be back for sure.

Nice camping but was expecting a bit better for newly refurbished camping, no wifi anywhere (it’s fine it’s a campground and city is not far) but the showers are an absolute mess

I recently went camping at this campground because i used to go often in the past and i always had a very good time. But know i am so disappointed in the way they have remodeled the campground. They have taken down quite a few trees and now we are all in the open space no privacy at all. We need to be in the nature enjoying the shade from the trees and to be protected from the rain. I liked going to this campground because I enjoy being in nature when I camp. I hope that if other campgrounds are remodeled that Parks Canada takes into consideration that people go camping to be in nature and get away from the congestion of the city.

Beautiful. The did such nice work. It would be nice to have more paths between the loops so we don’t walk on the plants. Also the entrances would benefit for being wider driving into the stalls as most of the motor homes can’t make the turn. So picturesque, I will be back again

Gema Parra

Best Campground in Jasper.. Washrooms are very clean, just like hotel. Close to Jasper Gandola (Sky Tramp).

Lucy&Steven Xie

Campsites in this place is built inside this big ring road, cycling around it took about 20 minutes. I had fun cycling with my kid. Each site was surrounded by tall trees, on one hand, they provided shade, on the other hand, we didn't get to see the nice dark sky in Jasper, which it was famous for. Shower was mostly cold, so be prepared for that. Firewood was missing for a day or two, they did not get replenished. Other than that, all was good.

After the campground was closed in 2018, I was super excited to see the improvements. There a many more washrooms and the main building allows you to park and check-in, rather then wait in traffic. The good: Many more serviced sites, many more washrooms/ showers, and it's great to have more sites open again in Jasper. The bad: Trees killed by the mountain pine beetle have been removed (good), but the South side of this campground won't have decent trees until my kids are grown. I was also surprised to see such huge washroom/shower buildings that only have 3 showers, a male washroom, and a female washroom.

I adore this campground, going back again next month. The view waking up is amazing, the on site facilities are a huge bonus over other campsites if you aren't into super roughing it. Plus it's really nice to have elk right in the campsite with you. I've been to a few places now and this is top of my list for camping in Jasper.

Teresa Schoenberger

Nice to see this place reopen after culling all of the dead pine trees and adding more shower houses. Sites are a bit packed together but nicely gravelled. Wish they'd up the temperature in the showers from 16C though.

Very unfriendly staff towards First Nation's, beautiful place but for the constant nit-picky grandma attitude its not worth the price. Other families around us were not bothered AT ALL!!! Our convoy vacation was to end here before we all go home BUT IT WAS not a pleasant stay so we ended our vacation early because of the rude vibes we got from the staff. We stayed at an unserviced site but it was great, it was clean and quiet and the washrooms, showers and kitchen were all close by. The campground itself was a little over a five minute drive to the city which was very convenient. Lots of elk around too!

lacey simpson

I'm gonna rate this 5 even though most people would put 4 because of 1 problem. You have no privacy(at least in sections from 1 to 20) You're super close to Jasper so if you need extra food or last minute items, it's great! The views are spectacular but the campsites are a but on the small side. The firewood is free(with the purchase of fire permit. Make sure you store up some in your car or somewhere dry because they leave the wood outside so they could be humide. Only downside is the privacy. But if you like to socialize with your neighbours, you won't care as much!
