You must have seen that it has an average rating is quite high, and it's based on a high number of opinions, so we can say that the rating is very faithful. If many people have bothered to value when they've done well, it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to put feddbacks when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
I can’t say enough great things about the Sawridge Inn. I was planning a proposal for my girlfriend and the people at the Sawridge helped to make it perfect. Every person that I spoke with was helpful and enthusiastic to do whatever they could to help make this day special for me and my now fiancé. I especially want to thank Sara Lewington for all the help she provided. I can’t thank the staff enough for everything. I would recommend staying at this hotel to anyone and everyone.
Nice location and can see animals nearby
Hotel with a lot of character. Fish and chips in the restaurant was amazing. Kids loved the indoor pool and hot tub.
Great room. very comfy bed and sufficient towels. very friendly staff. lovely restuarants.
Really decent hotel, easy to find in Jasper. Not too much to do there during the lock down but its not the hotels fault.
Very good potential, some investments in the rooms would be beneficial (bathrooms). Parking is a mess, unfortunately. And the fact that in Covid times you are asked to go to a convenience store downtown Jasper to warm us your takeout... unacceptable.
It was filthy; no security , door open and unlocked all night.all Bathroom drains were plugged. 3 rd floor had a leak for 4 days while I stayed .
It was the first anniversary and we had no microwave no freezer in the fridge to cool our freezer packs
Best hotel in a 5 day, 5 cities trip. Highly recommended. Great spa, restaurants, pool, everything inside the hotel. Super high quality. Super comfortable. Staff is awesome.
Nice staff! We will most likely stay here again because of the great on-site staff. Young woman with glasses at front counter when we checked in on Wednesday was really knowledgeable about Jasper and tours. She drove in to Jasper just like us that day. Racheal at Walter’s breakfast was really nice two days in a row. She checked on us often. We purposefully got food off the free breakfast menu so that we could tip her! Her tip was $10 on a $4 bill so we hope she got it. Servers at Hearthstone where really great! Kept our drinks full! Our king sized bed was really comfy and soft. Hotel is starting to get a little worn out. Rugs in some areas are worn and stained like in Walter’s. Overall the hotel was very clean and tidy. Our washroom counter was too close to the toilet. We get king rooms because I’m a bigger guy. It’s hard to use the toilet when the paper roll holder is poking me in the side after I take the roll out. It makes me a bit sad the humiliated to talk about this but I wanted to give useful feedback. Food was good and delicious but it seemed off theme and too fancy. For an Indigenous owned hotel I would expect more traditional foods. This may be a missed opportunity to showcase Indigenous culture to visitors from around the world. No breakfast buffet! We have been here multiple times before and the breakfast buffet was always a highlight. No gift shop! Again, another missed opportunity to sell traditional Indigenous arts and crafts. Phone booking was strange! The person on the phone told us that the kitchen was being renovated so we would have to go to another hotel to eat. But that was not so. No in room pay per view movies! When did 3-4 star hotels stop offering Hollywood blockbuster rentals in room? Wi-Fi was not that great on the third floor, Hearthstone, and Walter’s. We couldn’t read the menus online as they advertised at the tables. After discovering we could not rent a movie in room, we were trying to stream on our phone but that didn’t work either. It feels like the management company is cutting corners and missing opportunities. For the price and these few issues it was only a little disappointing
I went for my honeymoon and we fell in love with the hotel. We hope to return to the hotel as often as possible. We loved jasper and couldn't imagine staying anywhere else.
Very nice hotel that had a cool restaurant + pool, but the beds werent very comfortable and the cot was 25 dollars.
Good, no complaints. Bit of a walk from the town centre but room and amenities are great
Great place very clean
Sarah at the front desk was very polite and accomodating. The rooms were clean. Pool was a plus point too
Outdated interior, rugs not vacuumed, dusty plastic plants everywhere ???? and pool looked cloudy.
At first it seems fine. CPAP users read below. The rooms are so poorly noise insulated that we could hear distinct conversation in the hallway and in the room next to us. The showers only have a "mist" mode and there was only decaf coffee in the room. FOR CPAP USERS: There is absolutely no power outlet anywhere close (and trust me I looked) to the bed head or the bed at all. Can't plug my CPAP machine or even my phone close to me. Also there is a 3/4 of an inch gap below the room door that surely doesn't help with noise insulation. (see picture) For the price there has to be better options we've been extremely disappointed with this hotel and do not recommend a stay there. Did I mention the CN/CP railway that passes right in front of the hotel 24 hours a day? That with poor noise insulation was terrible but I guess it's nice if you like trains....
Very beautiful hotel. Staff is all very friendly. Rooms are great and modern. Our room was very close to the elevators and we found that too loud for us. We also went to use the hot tub after skiing around 5pm and found it "closed for maintenance". Very inconvenient time to put chemicals in the water. Steam room is great. The service at the lounge is extremely slow. Food at the buffet was decent. Not worth $25
Ohhh la la. This place has the rustic look and feel I seek for get aways. It's shared space is largely wood rustic. The rooms have nice comfy bedding. Balconies. There is a pool onsite. And a Restaurant. Our conference food was so good. I cant say enough good things about the food. This hotel is the first one you see when you pull into town. I recommend staying here. I'm coming back.
We were at the Sawridge for two nights with a few people for a celebration. The hotel was very good at following COVID protocols and their front desk was very quick to check us in. Our group was supposed to be placed on the same floor but wasn’t so when I spoke to the manager Bronson about our situation he took it upon himself to do everything in his power to make the rest of our stay a pleasant one. He check in with often to see how he could assist our group with our stay. The service we received by him, the front desk and catering staff was impeccable. The rooms were basic with standard amenities (note that atrium rooms come with two double beds). The carpets are old and some areas are slightly musty but the common areas and the restaurant are clean and nice to enjoy (when they are open). Walters Dining Room had some delicious breakfast options for a reasonable price. A bonus was that this hotel is the only one in town with a fire pit outside the hotel and is a great place to stand around in the evening when there isn’t much to do during a pandemic. Even though it’s the farthest hotel from downtown Jasper, it’s still a great place to hang your hat for the weekend.
Pool is beautiful and the rooms are actually really nice! The balcony is always a good touch!
Rooms were clean but are outdated. I guess it should be expected but the whole place smells like chlorine including our clothes two days later. Couldn’t park in the hotel parking lot the one night we stayed not sure what’s going on there. They were unhelpful in changing our reservation 3 days before showing up so they got a paid night with an empty room on us. Will not be going back.
Good experience but staff is a bit confused
A nice place, beds were comfortable. Unfortunately, breakfast could have been better. Low quality breakfast for the price they ask for.
Friendly staff, Yummy food,! Fire was always lit outside the front doors so nice to enjoy! Clean and comfortable!! We always stay at the Sawridge! Miss the pool and tea tree steam room! The kids loved the bear scavenger hunt this time!!! Was fun for all of us! Lol Thank you Sawridge!!!!⛰????????????❤
We stayed here during a 5 week holiday. This was by far the largest and cleanest room we have stayed in. Really nice staff, comfortable beds, nice quiet heating, big room and nice clean bathroom. What more can you ask for! If only every room on our stay had been like this.
Attended a wedding at the Sawridge Inn. The place is nice, unfortunately the Inn couldn't book rooms for the wedding party and the guests due to high demand, even though the wedding was planned well in advance. The food was good, but they didn't have enough for the wedding party. I got service, but other guests couldn't say the same. I asked for coffee from one of the servers at midnight but they said they stopped serving them at that time. Overall, it was ok.
Was not overly impressed or happy with how the room was, we got a room with 2 queen beds in it. Walked in the room and it stunk of stale cigarette smoke, the bathtub had scale all over it and the tub floor was green as if it went without cleaning for awhile. Definitely not worth the money they charge. Won't ever be booking/staying there again.
Rooms and hotel were clean but could use some updates. Hotel was in a good location for road access.
