When u order sometime online and pay for it already you would think it would be a quicker experience when to get to the store to pick up your item, but with Canadian Tire that is NOT the case, and this wasn't the first time either, there should ALWAYS be someone at the back counter to help wit the online orders, because that is the way of the world now (ordering online) and it should be am easier experience then it actually is.

I bought brand new winter tires (Nordic) and rim set for my wife car (2011HondaCRV) last year . It cost me about 1,100CS. With new tires, the car had a pulling problem even driving in town. I did not aware that bcz I did not drive. Last month (in March) I took to Kelowna, I realised that driving on highway made me scary: having right pull and shaking the steering wheel, and very unstable condition on the speed around 90km/h. I dare not to come back with that situation, so I need to fix that. Because of four days visit, I did not get the appointment at Canadian tires with short notice. So, I did with other professional tire center at Okkanagan. They found out the brand new tires have the problems. Long to short, I went back to Canadian Tire_Dawson Creek. Tires are under warrantee. Auto Service Center asked me to pay service fee to check the problems. When I asked the certainty of the outcome, they can not guarantee if they can fix the problem or not. The technician even told me that put the weight on the other side and drive to balance the pull, and they gave the several reason about the drive fault, etc. They are just making money from me without providing the good services. They asked me more money for finding out the problem, but no grantee. Tires are under warrantee, it should not be charge for additional services as those are not user fault. I really unhappy about the purchase and their services. I decided that I will never ever doing the business with Canadian Tire again in my life. Very Bad Service!

I was surprised for the size of Canadian Tire in this small town. Inventory was great, while you can't find any bike or outdoor activity items at the other stores, due to high demand because of Covid19, this store has lots of bikes, balls, sand water activity items available. Already having a hectic day I ran to Candian tire to pick up some wood stain n a sponge. My son was crying in his car seat n I was already stressed to the max. Checkout was packed with only two cashiers but we waited patiently as I get up to the counter I reliesed I forgot my wallet at home. Instead of the cashier saying she'd keep the stuff there for me while we ran home she huffed rather loudly then rolled her eyes at me while saying nothing. Taking the things away and that was it. It was so incredibly rude and made me feel even worse then I already had on a stressful day. A little kindness would have gone a LONG way.

NO STARS DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE TO THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT. They scammed me out of 714$. Were rude, required a deposit prior to looking at my vehicle. Told me my vehicle needed a new motor and would cost 6000$. When I went get my vehicle towed to a real mechanic, my new car battery was dead. They showed no concern at all. IF YOU BRING YOUR VEHICLE TO THE CANADIAN TIRE DAWSON CREEK YOU WILL MOST LIKELY BE SCAMMED OUT OF YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. Try micron performance, they fixed my vehicle at a reasonable price and treated me like a human being.

Too often I have had to return there due to product defect, product being broken, and despite the return, they put it back on the shelf (products bought later by friends). Service is also very poor, employees do not reach out to people, and waits at counters can be excessively long before you can see an employee's face behind them. 2 Stars for my last visit. After Shopping at all stores in town I found what I was looking for on their website stating 2 in stock. So to the store I go, I find staff in the ile that I was looking for. I am in ile 33 where faucets are located. I asked the staff where there was a black single bathroom faucet was. He showed me one he had in a shopping cart and asked if that was it. I said maybe as I could not remember what it looked like. He said its discontinued and unavailable then he walked away. Didn't try to find me another one close to the price or to even ask if there was anything else he could help me with. I preceded to look it up on my phone again and it said 2 instock at this store in ile 33! I find it myself which he didnt even check inventory himself. Unacceptable customer service and this was not a student, this was probably his full time job. I am disappointed every trip to this store now.

I just left this store for the last time!???? I attempted to retern a propane barbeque cylinder that I purchased there at this time last year. I had it filled and used it once for twenty minutes to cook a few burgers. I then stored it in my shed in the fall and last night I tried to use it for only the second time ever and it wont work. The valve spins but doesn't open. I was told that without a recipt they would replace the tank but without another recipt and they would not refund the cost of the gas. Well I could just exchange it at any service station for a full one and pass the problem on them but that would be dishonest and I never do an exchange program because it costs more than a refill and you never know how old the tank you receive is. Not a very happy consumer!????. I guess my next step will have to be the Better Busines Bureau. THANKS FOR NOTHING CANADIAN TIRE!

Weirdest Canadian Tire I've ever been to. The help desk is the least helpful place possibly anywhere.This one woman just yells at you! You can tell the other staff are embarrassed but they're grateful that she's not yelling at them for once so they won't help you. Some days the floor staff are extremely helpful and other days they are either nowhere to be found or rude. I don't go to this store if I can help it. The automotive section is the WORST. If they think they can charge you extra they will and they didn't even tighten my tires enough to keep them on my car when I did go there. It's a small town so sometimes you've got to go there; but if you can go somewhere else, I would.

I need to let you know about Rachelle who is the manager at Canadian Tire. I’m from Winnipeg and the Canadian Tire in Flin Flon was the only store who had in stock what I was looking for. 5 kayaks! I asked to speak with the manager and Rachelle answered my call. Customer service is so lacking these days but not if you are talking with Rachelle! My request was out of the ordinary and Rachelle went above and beyond to get those 5 kayaks to Winnipeg. Rachelle returned my call and worked hard at her end to see that I was happy. Unfortunately, I had the experience of dealing with Terry at the auto center twice so I can tell you with experience that this is the place you have to avoid at all costs. Terry believes in taking advantage of the people who are stuck rather than helping them out. Below are how my two visits went while was visiting Gaspe 1200kms away from my home in Ottawa: 1st visit - December 17, 2019 I got a flat tire and I bring it to the auto center and asked if it will be covered under warranty as my tires were within 5 years. Terry looks at the tire and said no it won't be as the thread is too low. Fair enough I brought my car in and asked if he could look at the threads of other tires if they were fine. All the other three tires were between 4 and 6 points and he confirmed they were fine. He said if something has to happen to other tires he will prorate it and replace it. I was going to change only the bad the tire but he insisted that I should buy two tires instead. I said okay and got the two new rear tires out of pocket. I asked them to swap a spare tire as well and for this change they charged me $15 (more on this later). 2nd visit - December 19, 2019 Unfortunately, this time I hit a very big pot hole and busted the sidewalls of my front right and rear right tire. I call CAA and bring the car in to Canadian Tire auto center. Terry confirms that he will cover the rear tires under warranty as we just changed it. But here's the catch we don't have more of the tire in stock so you would have to pay the difference of one tire up. The difference was about $100 more for two tires plus I had to pay for balancing again. I asked can you order me more of the same. He goes yea I can but they won't be here before two weeks and I know you are visiting only for a few days. This is your only option and the store is closing in an hour so you have to make the decision right now. Also, he did not changed the front tire under warranty which he had confirmed on my first visit that will be prorated if something has to happen to it. I said okay please change it and could you please swap the spare again. He said sure it will be $20. I'm like what!, you charged me $15 the other day, he fumbled and said oh I did you a favor the other day and we usually charge $20. At this point, I said whatever just change it. This is my second visit to Gaspe and this was my only bad experience that I can think of. It was painful to see that at a reputed place like Canadian Tire, I get to experience such behaviour. Please avoid this auto center and find some local garage instead when you are in Gaspe.
