Actually 0. Never ever do the shredding they advertise. Bins are full, time after time, so they won't even take shredding to do. Covid can't be the excuse for everything. If you find a good place who actually does shred, do a review so we can move our business there.

Talked to three people and they were unwilling to help me find what I needed for them to help me and was sent to the wrong spot so I wondered looking..... then the ASSISTANT MANAGER dressed in black Came and asked why I was wondering around ...then proceeded to help me find and buy what I was looking for .... thank you .... need more people like him working here

Alicia at the Courtenay store copy centre, when pleasantly asked to help with an urgent matter, told me how busy she was (not actually apparent) and that no, my request was not in accordance with policy. She single handedly managed to destroy decades of customer satisfaction in 2 minutes. Btw the manager was accommodating. Alicia needs customer service training and guidance on what makes a successful business.

Perfect Customer Service! Bought a laptop last month only to find out that a software has been a struggle to install on that laptop. Went to the store and was quickly accomodated. Friendly staffs in Tech Section! Very nice and approachable. Aaron, the tech guy, solved my issue within 20mins! straight to the point and no BS. If i could give this guys 10 stars, I will! Definitely recommended for tech support!

Got a high end chair for my wife for Christmas gift went to put it together and there was no casters no bolts and no wrench went back to store they did not want to do much of anything said they had no stock and it could take couple of weeks to get a replacement I called the 800 number and had the manufacture send me the parts kit it took two weeks The customer service sucks at this store

Same as some other reviews here. Getting through on the phone is a terrible process. Left to wait on hold for a time, only to have an automated voice say "call back later". This has been going on for years. Answering the phone should be a top priority. These are...customers...trying to call and give you business. And you can bet the competition answers their phone. When visiting the store, staff is nowhere to be found. And in general, I find it takes me several times longer then competing stores to get in and get help. This causes me to want to avoid staples and only go there if someone else doesn't have what I need.

Ordered an item online that was guaranteed delivery in 24 hours. 7 days later and 3 conversations with customer service who blatantly lied 'it's on the truck' 'guaranteed it will be delivered today'. Then I get an email saying ordered is cancelled and money refunded. Item - fan for the heat wave. NOT COOL, Staples.

A manager named Sharon from the Shaunigan lake location was very friendly and helpful when the self-serve printing station was unable to print my pdf file (?!). A shame the service was not operating as advertised, but Sharon's customer service skills smoothed everything over nicely.

Not happy with Staples return policy. I spend thousands of dollars in this store (personally and professionally) and wasn't able to return an unopened laser printer cartridge for a printer that died. Was hoping to exchange it for the cartridge that I need for the new printer, something I'm sure would be no problem at Canadian Tire or Wal-Mart (because I have had similar experiences with no problem), but they weren't able to help me. If I ordered it online, the return policy is 30 days so I am out of luck there as well. Unfortunate as I have always been 'Staples loyal'. Not feeling that the relationship is mutual today...

Purchased a replacement plan for a computer chair. When I tried to use it (2 months before the expiration) I got a run around. Was told to call a number, they told me they were going to send someone in a week to "attempt to fix it for me". That is NOT what I payed for! I payed for a replacement plan that specifies the chair will be replaced entirely. I ended up going back to the store a few days later and spoke to another staff member who replaced it directly for me in store. Staples, train your employees.

Find that the staff don't listen to what you are sayin , several times we repeated ourselves an it just didn't seem the lady could understand our simple request, 2nd time going in about this an will be our last If you don't know what you're doing in the department you were hired to be in.. perhaps the company should train these people a bit better

If I could give a lower score I would. We order 2 chair mats early in Jan 2021. We received one and then after a week still hadn't seen the second. So I contacted the customer service chat. They said order tracking would get back to me in 2 business days. I never heard from order tracking but an unidentified dishevelled human came to My door asking to pick up the second mat. Today Feb 2 2021 I contacted chat again a character name Gian L. that it had been damaged in shipping we suspect the dishevelled looking human probably stole the second mat for himself and I was told they refunded me, without notifying me in any way shape or form, then said it might take up to 5 days for it top go through. Gian L. then said I could REORDER the mat from them! Gian L. got to the point of only saying 'If you still need the item, please place a new order online." Seriously there are way better office supply stores out there. Friends, followers and general public stop giving these crooks money. Gian L. was absolutely useless as is their customer service as a whole.

Terrible service from one of the managers and a supervisor who basically told me they would refund the laptop I purchased and I could go buy it someplace else. They had agreed to do a data transfer for free as part of the purchase 2 days earlier but then the supervisor and manager tried a hard sell on services and refused to honor the salesman's commitment. I would NOT recommend ever using their services or purchasing anything from these people at this local store. NOT interested in customer service and borderline rude people.

Great service and friendly staff. Sold us a floor model desk and wrapped it in plastic wrap for transport. They wrapped it too tight and it caused the partical board to break apart but after some minor repairs desk was still useful. Selection of electronics was minimal compared to other big name stores.

Called the store 5 times in an hour and got hung up on every time. Figured must be busy so gave them the benefit of the doubt, and decided to drive over to the store, 4 customers total might have been in the store with plenty of sales associates available. I stood in the department looking for some help not one person asked if I needed help getting something as I was shopping for a desk. Terrible customer service on the phone and in the store to boot, I wouldn't even buy a pen from here again. Management needs to take a look at what they're doing.

A few of the back to school items are a bit over-priced and you need to check the regular bins as well as the back to school areas to check and make sure you are getting the best value for your money. Some of the items are considerably cheaper next door in Walmart so make sure you do your research before shopping.

I ordered 6 photo enlargements over a month ago which were estimated to be done in 7 days. I have phoned several times and had no response other than once, when I was told that they were outsourced to Kodak and I would receive a call when they were ready. That was 3 weeks ago. I work in the print industry and this type of job takes absolutely nowhere NEAR this amount of time. Pretty disappointed as this was a gift and I’m still wondering what’s going on.

Terrible customer service, I asked the worker a question about something I wanted he said that he does work there but not in that department than he walks away from me, I asked another worker for help, he seemed like he didn't even want to be there, also wasn't very helpful. It was a unpleasant experience being there all together, I just ended up leaving and going next door to walmart and spent my money there. They had better service and communication skills.

Quick and easy to use with great quality with many options for print sources including Google drive and USB there's also an ability to print from a website. I was going in to look for a tablet with a stylus pen for spread sheet work I needed for work reasons. I waited for a good 20 minutes made eye contact with atleast 3 employees who where not with customer's and simply avoided me. As I continued waiting I noted 2 employees standing by front desk doing nothing and just chatting. I just walked out feeling disapointed and frustrated.

The young staff at the Courtenay location are my salvation. I have an incredibly difficult time using any tech and I go there to print and send and scan. It all makes my head hurt and they are so helpful and wonderful.

How many times do you need to call ? “ sorry all our associates are busy” Does this retailer want to do business. I get that when sales are low it may make sense to lower wages but seems Staples has gone over board.

This place has the worst customer service. All I wanted is for some pages to be printed, but the site crashed and wouldn't let me order it online, so I went to the store and the lady in the printing department was really grumpy. She kept looking at my like I had two heads when all I asked was how the printing process works and then asked her why it wouldn't work when I tried on my own. She was just sitting there on her computer not doing anything to help, and then her solution was for me to go on the computer, pay 0.30$/minute to use the computer to order my printed papers, which would take up to 2 days. Never going back here.

The only reason I go to Staples is their print shop. This location does not do wireless binding (or whatever the binding that glues the pages into a spine is called) and has to send it off to Vancouver to get it done. So that was disappointing but the rest of the store is tidy and seemed well stocked.
