I went to get my car inspected because it is from out of province. It passed with flying colours and the price was reasonable. They followed all public safety guidelines for COVID-19. That meant no creature comforts like free coffee while I waited, but that is a small price to pay for keeping safe. It did take a little longer because they had to sanitize the interior of my car afterwards, but again, only a minor and necessary inconvenience. They run a tight ship over at Courtenay Kia.

It was discovered that I needed new wiper blades and I was called to gain permission before this extra cost was added to the service. We have a 2013 Kia Optima. Great car. I read there are problems with the motor. While driving we suddenly heard a loud grinding sound in the motor. Next day we took the car to Kia knowing there was something really wrong with the motor. Our warranty was finished and we were worried about paying a huge bill. Kia replaced the motor with no charge to us and we had our car back in 3 days!! Rental car included. It would have cost us over $7500. Not only that, the new engine has a life time warranty on the motor if there is again rod bearing damage. Fantastic service. Mark the service manager was great to deal with.

Came in with an ignition problem. First off, I was shuttled back to my home in Black Creek (which I honestly didn't expect them to do, I was willing to wait a few hours for the bus.) They called a few hours later and said that my starter had been drawing too many amps. Asked for a fair price and I told them to go ahead and fix it. Later, they come back to Black Creek to drive me back to the store. When I get to the store, immediately I have a bad feeling. Despite being told it was fixed, it failed to start 3 times when (who I believe was) the manager tried it in the parking lot. The female receptionist was very kind and talked to me/ got a coffee with me while I waiting for him to drive my car back to get rechecked. Eventually, he comes back out and I go home, still nervous but hopeful. They tell me to call and let them know how it goes, as they'll fix it if there's still a problem. Next day I go to work and after a few deliverers I am having issues, but at least I don't get stranded in town like the first time, and this time I don't have to call a tow truck. (Obviously, it's a bit irritating that there's still a problem but it could have been WAY worse. ) Next day I call in and then drive the car back to the shop. After waiting in the waiting room for about an hour and a half (they have a nice waiting room so I was completely fine with it, free coffee machines and free wifi) the manager comes back out and says that while there's obviously something still wrong, they need more time to diagnose it. He lends me a 2020 kia soul to use over the weekend and to take to work. Monday,(today) I'm called back for the last time to the shop. There was a loose sensor and I had a very dirty throttle. They pretty much checked my entire engine and all the parts around it. No charge for the labour or fixing the loose sensor. Completely free. If, god forbid, something else went wrong with the ignition, I trust completely that the people at Courtenay Kia would fix it for me and make the situation right. TLDR; Excellent customer service from not only the technicians, but the manager and receptionist. They made the situation right when the ignition wasn't fixed the first time. They not only shuttled me half an hour each way, but they lent me a car over the weekend. Would definitely recommend Courtenay Kia.

All questions were asked and answered, and I left with the best possible deal to suit my needs, and a brand new car with an amazing warranty! I was worried my first car would always be stressful but this was just an amazing exeperince all in all!
