We offer you all the information of real people like you who buy the products and services of Lazy Bear Expeditions & Tours Churchill Canada (Kindergarten) around Churchill territory (Canada).
At present the firm has a rating of 4.5 stars over 5 and that rating was based on 112 reviews.
You must have seen that the average score it has is virtually the best one, and it's founded on a large number of feddbacks, so we can say that the valuation is very faithful. If people have bothered to leave their opinion when they are satisfied with the business, it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to place scores when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...

Lazy Bear Cafe (at the Inn This IS the best, #1 restaurant in town. First night, the rack of lamb was as well cooked as you will get, hot baked potato with fresh toppings on the side, hearty bacon bits, real chives (large fresh slices) butter, sour cream. Actual al dente steamed veggies. I am telling you...really superb. My wife loved the chicken quesadilla. 2d night, after a really poor lunch at the Tundra (all eight of us had mediocre or less meals), cancelled our dinner reservations. We returned to the Lazy Bear and I had a 12 oz.rib-eye steak, (I asked and was given ground peppercorns crushed on the steak [original au poivre] before cooking) topped with sauteed fresh mushrooms with the now famous baked potatoe, with toppings on the side. My wife had the black bean burger which she loved. The steak was perfectly cooked, as were our companions'. I asked to speak to the chef to tell him my appreciation of the peppercorns. In the conversation, I noted how special the lamb had been the previous night. He casually said, you can't be from Australia and not know how to cook lamb. Churchill is an extraordinarily small town. We ate at the top 3 and Lazy Bear is the best by far.
Blah
Awesome Adventure with Lazy Bear Expeditions! We saw around 16 bears in total, some close up and some at a distance. Our guide Jason was passionate about his job and it showed up everyday!
I stayed here for 3 nights after an expedition on the Seal River in 2021 and can’t recommend it strongly enough. Clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, and easily the best food in town. If you take one of their tour packages they will do their very best to get you to all the sights, including beluga and polar bear viewing
No liquor here. But otherwise, as good as it gets. Cozy, stylishly rustic and all-around quality in food, presentation and decor. Service is a bit slow...but it is Churchill.
Stayed back in 2014 and still remember how friendly, clean, and home-y this place is. Looking forward to go back ☺️
Terrible beds, terrible food, expensive , tour guide was awesome, staff great.
I was hired by this Lodge last year and it was one of the worst job experiences in my life, so bad I had to contact Manitoba Employment Standards, and I did win the claim. I entered into the job with great energy, working very hard for the Daudrichs, often without break. I found it challenging to work around incessant abuse from other staff members. Laws have been passed in Canada about harassment on the job for this reason, so people can work with dignity in Canada. No other servers there other than myself had a valid food handlers licence, nor did anyone have a safe serve licence. I paid plane fare to get there and back only to be pushed around by a miserable manager? Not in 2018. Humanity has come too far than to succumb to abuse on the job. I found it amusing that the pastry chef would come in every night reeking of marijuana, I even witnessed a monetary exchange between himself and another server. Some of the other staff members at Lazy Bear were high on cocaine, which is how they get through working those 12 hour days, 7 days a week for months on end. The room mates Lazy Bear patched me with were some of the worst cocaine users and drunks, one was even on a methadone program and insisted on having a lock on her bedroom because of the drugs she was holding. These women were going in my room, stealing from me, and not the nicest people-very racist. This is serious in my opinion. Plenty of my tips were stolen via front desk staff. The staff working there were often cruel to me as well (through Trish and Dawns catty direction). I did not trust the front desk manager one bit, nor the international bullies that worked the desk. ALL those locals, and no one out in Churchill works at Lazy Bear? Anyone paying attention can see why. Lazy Bear HR department is useless, it's a front, a show. What kind of HR can one provide if they fear standing up to their employer on behalf of someone being mistreated by a manager and/or her staff? Emily Westergaard is very unprofessional as far as HR goes-she has no clue, a very naive young woman. Perfect for the job as the owners are corrupt law breakers. Dawn Daudrich is no better as a leader-she is a mean spirited hater that only loves people she can either make money off, or push around. Wally and Dawn are not Christian people, more like American religious cultists. Christians are generally good-hearted people with the community at the forefront of their interests, but this American family is monopolizing on Canadian wildlife and this is the only reason Wally is trying to play politics. DO NOT eat the sauces!! I would seriously be careful about what one eats from that kitchen, as they do not throw away anything expired. At one point most every person working there got sick-myself included. In Churchill there are no epidemics like colds and flus. I have so many stories about Lazy Bear and the various staff mishaps I witnessed, I could write a book. Take a chance to work for them? If they knew the laws they would understand that Trish 'liking' someone has nothing to do with someone effectively carrying out job description. If I owned a lodge and had a manager with bare feet walk into my kitchen-that would not be my manager anymore. Being licenced and up to par with laws and codes is most professional, and this is not what I seen at Lazy Bear Lodge.
The Lazy Bear Lodge was a great place to stay at for multiple nights. Their Winter Polar bear trips were awesome! The 2018 Ptarmagin group was just great. Their food was grewa, and it was so close the tundra. It was very comfortable there, and all of the staff were very kind to me. It is the best place to stay in all of Churchill, Manatoba, Canard. Churchill is a small town with great tourist attractions, a great hotel, and fun. It is next to a few great stores, and I reccomend it to anybody and everybody.
I went for lunch, my chicken sandwich was really good. Service was good as well. The restaurant has a great cosy atmosphere with a fireplace in the middle. Unfortunately I got the impression, they are too much money oriented. I got stuck with my 4wheel drive car in the snow and had to get towed out. The guy who was around was willing to help, but he directly said he will only help me (tow around 5m) for 100$. Since I was in a bad situation, stuck in snow where polar bears can walk around, I had to agree. For his help I was willing to give him 50$ anyway, but his insistence was a sign of poor humanity, unfortunately. However I appreciated the help and paid my dues.
The food was excellent and the service friendly and quick. Meals do cost more in Churchill, but that should probably be expected.
They definitely go out of their way to ensure you get what you want!
so good
The accomodations and staff are amazing; this lodge is like something out of a movie
Weird Music, coffee is okay, awesome staff
The place in Churchill that makes the most effort for the food and a warmful atmosphere. But no alcohol.
Lazy Bear Lodge was a brief stay made excellent by fantastic guides, great staff and servers. The room was cozy and the beds were comfortable, the shower was warm and my only real complaint would be the room could be a little dark when the suns down which is pretty insignificant. The Tundra buggy was definitely an experience and we were beyond lucky(there wild animals so its a gamble) and saw bears close to the crawler. The food in the restaurant was good and the atmosphere was outta this world. We'll definitely be back for Belugas someday.
Loved it. Went there everyday during the week I was there. Service was great!
It is one of the best cozy and warm place in Churchill
great service and affordable price
Nice atmosphere. Good food. Espresso bar.
Review for the cafe/restaurant. We came twice: for restaurant and a drink. Very slow service (even when it’s almost empty), food was ok, no alcohol drinks. The hot chocolate is 8$ and tastes like hot milk. We asked for another one and it was still difficult to find the taste of chocolate. Our friends had exactly same experience.
The top end hotel of churchill.
Good food
Amazing friendly service. Great location. Good food. Feels like a log cabin.
Absolutely loved the hospitality, I love this hotel and we did the beluga whale dream tour. Knowledgeable staff and excellent customer service. Don't forget to try the Arctic char.
Very warm and comfortable setting. Log cabin feel. Attached to Inn is a gift shop and restaurant(cafe) with a great selection of food. Recommend the full rack of ribs and a classic chocolate milkshake. Very relaxing with great staff. Keep it up guys!
Was here for the food, and there were many solid options! Bang for the buck!
(Translated) A very nice trip - polar bears, beluga whales and pure nature! (Original) Ein sehr schöner Tripp - Polarbären, Belugawale und Natur pur!
A rustic cabin made of boreal wood that is impressive in its own right. Great accommodation, knowledgeable staff and the food is outstanding. They even grow their own vegetables in their unique greenhouse.
My visit to Churchill was a dream come true. Lazy Bear surpassed all my expectations and I hope to book with them again. Fantastic experience and quite honestly the best vacation trip I have ever taken. Beautiful place and beautiful people ????
beautiful place! excellent service and fantastic food!
Food is delicious. Service is great. The best in Churchill. Many people mke booking.
Great coffees and nice restaurant. Didn't stay here tho
Spectacular lodge, great food. Tours well arranged. I highly recommend.
Experience of a lifetime loved it
Great place
The Lazy Bear is my very favorite place to go in Churchill, their White Mocca is the BEST!!
The accommodations were first class- much better than I expected for such a remote place. The staff were all genuinely concerned about us having. Good time. One of the few places left where being a tourist actually gives you some points ! The food was wonderful and the only issue I had was just like everyone else - I like a glass of wine with dinner ! But still five stars in my book. The only place in Churchill to stay .
We went in beluga season and it was the trip of a lifetime for us. The lodge and expeditions were first class. Kayaking with the belugas has to be experienced to believe. The staff were excellent, our guide was also excellent and the food was fabulous.
Beautiful room to dine in, but food is only average. Americano was weak. Hot chocolate needed flavour. Friendly staff though. They admitted that they needed a chef.
Great food,real nice place
Trip of a Lifetime from Arrival to Departure. Itinerary was perfect! 2 days on the Tundra, dog carting (due to weather), knowledgeable, friendly staff at the Lodge. Our guide, Jason, was overall fabulous. Donovan, our co-guide, was equally as great. The tundra crawler was surprisingly cozy...washroom, fireplace, had lunch and coffee breaks whilst out spotting for Polar Bears and other wildlife. Exceptionally run expedition!
Very cozy
Good environment
We had an amazing time. The hotel is great, as is the restaurant the tours are absolutely wonderful.
Lovely design, good food, what else do you need?
Very nice place and good service. Food is very good !
Friendly staff and alot of interesting stuff to learn and look at as well as souvenirs.
Very good.
Fabulous experience: one of the best trips I have ever done. Food and accommodation were first class as was the service of the staff. Polar bear treks and dog sled evening were just superb. I went here with expectations and came away with a dream fulfilled. Thank you Lazy Bear lodge
Beautiful construction and great food and great service. Definitely worth trying !!!

(Translated) poor little French, I'm coming back from the French circuit "arctic odyssey" too bad the guide "jude" finds it impossible to do the circuit in 2 languages so she ignored us. Fortunately Florence was kind enough to come with us to translate (young very pleasant and competent woman). It is still unbearable to be treated like that given the price (we did not buy this trip on sale) Beware of next French travelers (Original) pauvres petits français,je reviens du circuit francophone"odyssé arctique" dommage que la guide "jude"trouve impossible de faire le circuit en 2 langues elle nous a donc ignorés.
Great food and atmosphere
Very rustic. Nice ambiance, staff very friendly. Restaurant is excellent.
Best place in the world! Great food and amazing scenery! Localy grown greenhouse salad up north is very impressive!
A wonderful lodge, restaurant and tour guide experience all wrapped into one! The guides are fantastic and friendly, as are the servers. The food is excellent enough that I ate there every night!
Although we did not stay at the Lodge, we took a Kayak tour to see the Beluga whales. It was truly an amazing experience! Our guide (Norm) was top notch! He thoroughly explained several safety issues as well as gave us a great experience! Norm truly made the trip an enjoyable one!!!!!!!!
Super motel and cafe, great food. Great staff
Fantastic hospitality and great people.
Amazing friendly service. Great location on tundra. Good food. All wood panelling and logs, feels like a log cabin.
Had a great time at Lazy Bear Lodge. Amazing experience! Food was great, beds are so comfortable and the espresso bar was off the hook. Looking forward to returning to do some expeditions this summer and in the fall.
Very nice accommodations considering the remoteness of the location. Wonderful staff. Tremendously helpful and very friendly. I'd come back in a heartbeat just because of them.
Very friendly costumer service, jest a very nice place to go.
Friendly and welcoming staff Nothing is too much trouble for them and the food is delicious! X
We booked a Beluga whale tour package with Lazy Bear lodge and it included two nights stay and breakfast as well. We were also provided pick and drop from the train station upon arrival and departure which definitely was a plus. We had a pretty good time at the lodge and all the tours provided by them (cultural and heritage tour of Churchill, prince of whales Fort tour, beluga whale watching on zodiac boat) were good as well. One of the major advantage of staying at the lodge was the in-house cafe. We never had to worry about venturing out for food. The food is delicious and lots of variety on the menu. The lodge is nice and cozy and well kept. The staff was warm and friendly. All in all the experience was worth the price. I will stay again.
Excellent tour - will be a repeat visitor.
Super cozy, very professional extremely friendly. Highly recommend
Interesting menu with unique flavors I haven't seen anywhere else! Service was great! The one part where a mistake happened - they instantly worked to fix it and went over and above. Staff was great - they make the place and deserve a pat on the back for a job well done!
