You may have noticed that its rating is quite positive, and it is founded on a high number of opinions, so we can say that the valuation is quite credible. If people have bothered to rate when they've done well with the business, it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to set evaluations when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Kindergarten is included in the category of Amusement park.
Our daughter loved it. We bought a day pass and had an exciting time there.
Great little park for young kids. Short lines.
We had a fun time, but wish the go-karts were included in the unlimited bracelets so we didn't have to buy extra coupons
Pretty much no lines so got in a lot of rides for our time there. Kids had a blast.
Lots of ways to have fun
Mon and wed unlimited go kart nights
(Translated) Beautiful beach. Now paying. For two adults and $ 15 and my children free. (Original) Belle plage. Maintenant payant. Pour deux adultes ct 15$ et mes enfants gratuits.
Great place for the family. Priced reasonable if you spend tbe whole day.
Lots Of Rides, Great Place To Go With Family. Just make sure you shower and wash your hands after visiting!!!
A must visit spot if you are coming to PEI with children. It is a little expensive for a single day; however, they offer exceptional value if you're planning on getting the week pass for here and the water park. There is a lot to do for all ages as well. Both our kids (2yrs old and 8yrs old) had more then enough rides that they were able to go on. The only thing I would change would be that bracelets extend to ALL rides including the Go Karts.
Fun place for a few hours. Food is not great or widely available.
Great fun for the whole family, go here every few years and always love it. Got a sunburn but it was my own fault, bring aloe Vera as the only stuff we found was 8 dollars a bottle.
Great spot for kids
Great place to have fun for all ages.. big and small. The bumper boats and cars are both fan favorites
Fun spot for 'kids' of all ages
Rides are fine but at lunchtime, they are completely unprepared. Went to the main concession stand and was told they were behind and won't be taking any more orders for half an hour. We then went to the other stand and asked for hotdogs. They didnt have any.
Fun
Carnival every day of the week, fun rides but could use a few more. Food was good but disappointed the Pretzelmaker wasn't available
Fun fun!! Awesome place. No complaints

Sandspit is a small but fun amusement park catering to tourists in Cavendish. It's great for the kids (all 5 in our group LOVED coming here for a day) it tuckered them out and they enjoyed the rides..over and over again. Some of the adults played a few rounds of mini golf and it was a lot of fun. It's simple but a really nice way to spend part of a day or a few hours. We went back after dinner and it was a treat to see all the rides lit up. As some reviewers have mentioned, it is a bit dated but still a great time. I loved that it wasn't too busy and there was barely a wait for rides and games.
Pros: Great leverage to use with your kids while on vacation on P.E.I. Park entrance is free, rides are either by tickets or with an all-you-can-ride bracelet (which works for most rides). Get a bracelet for your kid(s) and 10 or 20 tickets for parents. Lots of parking. Public bathrooms. Some shaded seating areas. Cons: Seems like they were short staffed when we visited. Ride operators were moving between rides, leaving some rides closed. Quality of the rides is carnival-level. Things felt safe, but this isn't a high end amusement park. If you need a day off from Anne or the beaches, bring the kids here. Try the bumper boats with the whole family - they are worth it. We only stayed about 3 hours; there aren't a whole lot of rides.
Good
Great place for kids
Options for all ages. Clean and rides are in good repair. Good value for the 'week' braclet
Nice amusement park. My husband, 10 year old daughter and myself had a great time.
(Translated) Wonderful and I recommend it and entering each car with the family is $ 90. I hope to change the waters of the boats lake and install lights for them to become beautiful and fit with other games, thank you (Original) رائعه وانصح بها والدخول لكل سيارة مع العائلة 90$ وارجو تغير مياه بحيرة القوارب وتركيب أضأءة لها لتصبح جميله وتليق بالألعاب الأخرى وشكرا لكم
(Translated) A small amusement park but with a large choice of activities for all ages. Our 4 year old daughter was able to participate in as many activities as possible, only 4 activities could not be tried because they were too small. Not a lot of waiting time and a big thumbs up for the aquatic bumpers (Original) Un petit parc d'attraction mais avec un grand choix d'activités pour tout les âges. Rides were good, little rough looking. The kids had fun. I found it was more of a carnival than an amusement park, the one aspect I wasn't caring for was the rides seemed to be manned by kids and their interest in their job was greatly lacking, more adult working the rides would have been more reassuring .
Great value for the family! Perfect for preteens and bigger or braver kids!
Beautiful place. Our kids love it and so do my husband and I.
(Translated) “Aged adventure park” We spent a morning in this park. The payment system is exciting. You can buy a day pass or chips for individual trips. The park is visibly a bit older and some of the railways need to be overhauled or even replaced. It is also annoying that several trains are operated by the same person and you therefore have to wait again and again until the train you want to use is operated. The food offer is very modest and of poor quality. Our little son still had a lot of fun visiting this park.
It was a lot of fun for me but I suggest fixing the go karts, I went on the carts and the steering wheel fell off and I hit the wall just something to fix
Enjoyed a lot
Great mini golfed
We went during covid, they did every thing that could be done to keep patrons and staff safe. It was also great because with covid there was less people so no lines.
Well run and very well maintained.
Beach was extremely beautiful and the water was warm definitely would go back there again
(Translated) Too expensive!!!!! (Original) Trop chere!!!!!
Mini golf was great. Lots of rides and food
Really good place to take your kids
10/10 but hot dog cheap come on make a better please
AMAZING!
Very fun family day! I went to Sandspit as a child and now I am taking my children. The park is fairly small but you don't have to walk very far between rides
Nice little amusement part especially if you have kids. Age and size do not matter. Not over crowded or long queues. 4-5 hours is more than enough. Dashing boats was most liked by our kids and then the roller coaster.
Love the place
Nice exhibition/carnival type attraction. Not bad prices for the rides either.
Fun little place
Love this place! Not a huge area but you will definitely have fun there! Quick tip is to wear long sleeve shirt or something to prevent mosquito because there's lots of them there at night!
Kids enjoyed it and made the most of the limited rides. The lack of variety and the lack of food and drink kiosks was disappointing. Bring bug spray if visiting during the summer nights.
Great spot for the kids. We love taking them there and they never get tired of it.
Slow aging carts were disappointing
Staff seem indifferent to their jobs. Fun stuff to do but you pay a premium for it. Can be dangerous as mentioned by other reviewers..
Nice!
Kids had a blast. Expensive, though
(Translated) Value for money interesting. Reasonable waiting time for the rides. Clean and safe place. (Original) Rapport qualité prix intéressant . Temps d’attente raisonnable pour les manèges. Endroit propre et sécuritaire.
My family and I had a blast, the go karts were a riot and the kids loved the roller coaster!
(Translated) different costs of permettants all admissions to find pleasure at the right price. (Original) differents couts d'admissions permettants a tous d'y trouver du plaisir au juste prix.
My daughter and I went on a Sunday. We had a blast! Roller coaster line was 15 mins long. They were only running one coaster at a time. The drop zone ride was super fun! Go karts cost 8 dollars each or 10 dollars for a double if your child isn't big enough.
Kids loved this park again. We were here last year and we go during the third week of June.
Not a lot of rides for adults but great for kids
Water bumper cars... how can you go wrong
(Translated) Very nice evening (Original) Très beau le soir
We go every summer, our 8 yr old son loves it.
This small amusement park in the heart of touristy PEI is always clean and has super staff. It has been a must do for the past 4 years of my family vacations.
Super fun
Great for the whole family and not too expensive.
It's great if you have kids because they enjoy the different kind of rides. It's small park but it has a variety of things to do. Perfect spot to take kids for a few hours. The entrance is free you pay for the tickets to the rides at the window entrance. You have the option to buy daily pass or a bundle of tickets.
We had soooo much fun
(Translated) Small but children love (Original) Petit mais les enfants adore
Great spot to take the family but need new attentions every few years I think to make it more appealing to locals
A little rocky for my liking, I prefer Berkeley to those who like softer sand.
Great way to spend the Day with children
Lots of fun for everyone
Lots of fun for the whole family
Lots of fun at this little amusement park.
The kids had a fantastic time. 4 Kids ranging from 15 to 5, they all had a good time as they found something they liked, or excited them. The older ones really enjoyed the water slides and the two 5 year olds had lots of fun at the kiddy pool and slides.
Really nice, on the not cheap side of things
Small but fun. We spent a few hours here one rainy day, there were no lines so we were able to go on TONS of rides. Would recommend buying the day pass or the multi park pass.
Great for kids of all ages
Had a ball! Didn't wait long in line. Family can't wait to go back!
Kids had a great time
What a fun trip, remember to reserve your times before you arrive as it is needed at this time.
Fun
(Translated) Wonderful landscape! (Original) Paysage magnifique!
What a great spot to spend a day..about the best spot in the area for all age inclusive rides. It's hard to find a place that has things that entertain both my kids with such an age gap (3 and 9). But no problem with that here..try the Big Splash water bumper cars..theyre awesome!
Old school family friendly amusement park. Our family got the all ride pass and had a great time. My kids especially loved the bumper boats and roller coaster.
Fun
Kids had a lot of fun here, lines were not too long for rides. Would be better if there was more rides though and if the race track was included in the park pass
Great for the family.
not huge but something for everyone.
For the amount they charge for a bracelet it is sooo not worth it. I was sadly surprised at the lack of rides here.
Was the highlight of my week there this past summer in August, had a blast! loved Sandspit ????
Booked our tickets online before going. Very easy. Kids had a great evening bouncing from ride to ride. Always a fun part of any PEI trip.
fantastic park for kids
We all had a blast hope to get back there again before summer is over
Our kids enjoyed our visit here. It would be nice if the go karts were included as a part of the package. The park is very clean.
Love it only disappointed that the car track you had to pay separately other than that great time by my whole family
Great place to bring the kids and spend the day.
Started in the rear on GO-Karts, finished in 1st. Eat my shorts family of 5!
The kids are almost too old for half of this Park (12 & 7) but because it is not too busy, they can go on the rides they do like over and over. I still enjoy the coaster.
Not much has changed over the years. Maybe a couple new rides, but that's about it. Go karts are a rip. Track needs to be fixed or paved, it's way to bumpy.
Fun for the whole family.
Not a lot of rides but it's fun
Kids loved it. It is like the fair with bumber boats, go carts and a roller coaster. I have three kids and all of them were too short for the roller coaster and some other rides. It was a good experience and will be better next year when all my kids can go on all the rides.
Great family fun! The only thing I would suggest is to arrive as early as posible! Line ups at 10 am can be very long
Book ahead of time due to covid19. Once inside it's more or less the same as I remember it from summers ago. I'd recommend if you have kids over 3' check it out. Not carnival this year so they got as good as you can get here on PEI this summer. Only thing that could make this review 5 stars is covid19 going away. Many rides and bumper boat loads of summer fun.
Good
We spent the better part of 2 days here. Our kids loved it. Lots of great rides.
Kinda BS when you pay $100 for a family pass and still need to pay extra to go on the go-karts. At the very least include a few passes for them. You pay $100, then need to pay $5-$7 for a go-kart ride!? Total money grab.
There is not enough staff to run the rides. When you open at 10am there should be a attendant at every ride. Not one attendant for 3 rides. Hard to make a young child wait 15 minutes for a ride. The cost to purchase a bracelet will pay the wage for the staff. If you open the door you should be fully open to accommodate the customers.
Fun family afternoon. Busy!
Great spot to take the family.
Great place for the day. The kids loved it!.
This year (August 2015) A young girl was flung out of one of the rides because the seatbelt either failed or was not fastened properly. Thankfully the girl survived with only bruises. This was the owner's response: "Incidents do happen," Jelly said. "We are sorry an incident occurred. We are sorry any time anybody has a disappointing experience at the park. We are in this business to provide fun." Their compensation to the family was to offer a free pass. Their child could have died and that was how Sandspit reacted. The operator was a teenager with 20 minutes training on the ride, and this was deemed sufficient by the owner. Don't risk your life there.
A great place to spend the day. Well worth the day pass. Great for kids and adults alike.
Visited on a busy summer day with friends. Turned out to be fun although the water was cold. The red sand are spectacular to see. Would absolutely go back again.
Great family fun. Reminds me of a Midway which visit small town fairs across Canada, each year.
Really fun
Perfect place to bring out kids..
Affordable safe fun place to take the kids for the whole day a must visit when going to Pei in the summer
A bit good for me
Awesome little place
This amusement park is very well organised, clean, never really felt crowded (my husband and I HATE big crowds) and the kids had a blast!! I had read some people gave this place 1 or 2 stars due to covid infractions, but I could not find something else the park could have done to make people feel safer. After what I thought were just 20 minutes, we were surprised to check the time and realise 2 hours had passed. We had a great time and kids want to visit again next year when we come back to PEI????
Fun for all ages
Barf
This is a great little amusement park especially for children between 6&10. Our older children also had fun. I like that you can enter the park for free and only pay for bracelets or tickets for the ones who want to go on rides.
This was our 3rd or 4th time there over the years and this was our best experience by far, first our children are all tall enough for all the rides which was great and the employees did a great job with social distance and have a great plan for mask that made our experience great
(Translated) Even with the rain, the day was fantastic! (Original) Même avec la pluie, la journée était fantastique !
Always a great time for the kids. They love the rides and we enjoy the retro tunes playing around the park. Bonus that well behaved dogs are permitted on grounds. Well maintained and super staff-big shout out to Jake and Cole on the Rollercoaster!
It was fun for a few hrs
Great selection of rides for kids 36"-48". Not too crowded, never a long wait. The giant slides and the train were the biggest hit. Mom and dad enjoyed the iced coffee. We also had lunch at the canteen but I'd suggest skipping the fries and bringing some fruit and veggies in a cooler in your car. Staff were very pleasant and helpful!
Always a nice place to visit, lines aren't too long and the park is always clean.
(Translated) Small amusement park with something for everyone. (Original) Petit parc d'amusement avec quelque chose pour tous.
The roller coaster was down all day. Was looking forward to using it. Was told it would be fixed in about an hour and when they closed it still wasnt working
(Translated) Place with a large choice of amusement ride to entertain the family but will miss a few attractions for the little ones. The cost is a bit high. (Original) Lieu ayant un grand choix manège pour divertir la famille mais manquerai un peu attractions pour plus petit. Le coût est un peu élevé.
Great value of you purchase the "all you can eat" ride bracelet. A break for the adults.
We went with our family this year and had a great time. I used to love spending the day at Sandspit when I was younger and now it is great to be able to take our daughters. All of them, ages 3, 4, and 8 had a great time and lots of rides to choose from. On a side note, I pre purchased our bracelets online which saves 5%, plus if you are a CAA memeber, you will save even more. I also like that you can come and go if you like, we took advantage of this during the hottest part of the day anx returned for the evening when it was cooler and also fun to see everything lit up. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because some of the staff didn't seem to have as much training/experience which is to be expected in this type of setting, but some should have perhaps had a bit more supervision before being asked to cover 3 different rides at once.
Great for families. Good value.
Great for small kids...variety of rides.
Great for a day trip, cheap food and free drinks on Fridays
An enjoyable old fashioned country Fair styled amusement park. Fun activities for young and old alike. Flexible payment options allow for picking and choosing which rides to go on. They have generous ride times as well. Recommended.
Good rides for the younger ones, rather cramped for adults. The bumper boats were great!
So much fun. Line ups were very small for the ride little to no waiting. Need more attendants for the roller coaster but all in all we had a great time!
It's an awesome place to take the family and let the children and yourselves have a great time. Definitely going back. If you haven't been there it's place to go and explore and have a great time with the family and friends.
We got there around 8 PM and it started to rain… Everybody ran to the cars and within 35 minutes we were back on the rides… Lots of fun !!
This is a great place to take the family for the day. The rides are more old school carnaval , but still very enjoyable. They have something there for all ages, so no one feels left out. My only complaint was the long wait in lines for the rides. Other than that my family and I had a wonderful time spending the day together.
Enjoyed playing mini golf and riding the rides. Kept us busy for 6 hours easily and was definitely a good time. Price was relatively high at $75 for three people, but there were slightly better options. All things considered, it's a great price for what you get, so that's not a bad deal at all. If you're in Cavendish, young or old, give it a try, it's worth it
Very fun place to kill an hour or 2 with kids. Only complaint is how expensive it is.
Great times for a great price
Fun place. Everything is well maintained and clean. The kids has a blast a d we will visit a few times thru our time here on the island.
Fun
Friendly staff, loads of fun and reasonably priced
Great spot for families, I had fun playing mini golf and driving the bumper cars but I didn’t really enjoy when the Ferris wheel seized up with my nephew at the top and they had to call in a crawler crane to pry him off (note that—along with the go karts—this is the only attraction not covered by bracelet admission). Be sure to stay until 2 AM, after which the park turns into “Club Sandspit” where they fill up the bumper boat pond with four loko and a live DJ spins throwback hits from one of the Tilt-a-Whirl cars. The most exciting part of this is the nightly contest where they award a 50 arcade tickets to the person who can correctly guess which currently-running attraction one of the employees loosened some of the bolts on. I would recommend Sandspit to everyone
Always visit this fun place whenever I'm in PEI fun for families or couples . Something for everyone
the rollercoaster line is way to big and you cant even get refills on your drink
Whole family had a blast 10/10 will come back again
Clean little amusement park. Coming from Toronto and being used to Wonderland my kids were a little bored after about an hour or two as there are only about half a dozen rides. Nice outing though, cool little go kart track. The best thing is that you can walk around for free-as I don’t go on rides. To ride all day was like $25 bucks or something. You can also leave and come back later in the day-parking is free as well.
Fun but not much to do
Great family day!!
It was great to be able to have fun with our family at an amusement park that is adhering to Covid safety protocols. And actually with limited number of people, the rides were easier to get on without long lineups????
This place is great for kids. Specifically older than toddlers. I have a wide range of kids from 2-10 and the 2 year old was upset when he couldn't get on some rides like the bumper boats even when accompanied by a parent. My older kids loved the rides. Keep an eye on moving parts though, when I was there the carousel was just greased and I got grease over a brand new shirt I just bought. My son also got it all over his leg. When I mentioned it to the operator she was quick to clean it though. Lots of fun rides, great way to spend an afternoon.
Family Fun
The rides are fun and the staff is nice.
Went on the perfect day in Cavendish (24 degrees Celsius and no wind). Got to the gate and paid the $51 for two bracelets only to find out that the main attraction (the one reason we came to the park) was out of order all day.
Good value for the money, come and go through the day, height requirements for certain rides so keep that in mind.
I was not impressed with the new booking system. We drove to Cavendish from where we were staying just to try to go here, to be told they have an online system where you have to pre-book. Very disappointing that they didn’t even consider people visiting the area and stopping in. They could have allowed for a certain amount of “drop-ins” if they really wanted to do this pre-booking system so badly. Lots of business lost there. As we were being turned away, a family of four was leaving and one of the parents offered to let us have their pass, but of course the slots are “non-transferrable.”
Great place. Loads off fun. It's small but fun for younger kids.
We had a great time here. We spent almost the full 5 hours. However, we had kids that needed dinner and bed. We will go again on our next visit.
Definitely an easy way to spend an afternoon as a family.
Small but clean. Fun safe place for family fun
Kids like it. But it's expensive for the same few rides.
Just went to do go kart racing with my brothers, the karts could use some serious upgrading, the belts slip like crazy when going uphill, and you can stay wide open the whole time. Also there’s no suspension and the track is ruff so it literally beats the poop right out of you, check your pockets! Still fun but 1 round is definitely enough!
There are rides for everyone of all ages. Slow rides, to thrill seekers
WHAT A TREASURE! We spent the day here with our three young boys. Everyone had the time of their lives. Price was fair, staff was super nice and helpful, lines were short and with the wrist-bands our kids must have gone on their favourite rides dozens of times. THIS IS A MUST-VISIT FOR FAMILIES!!!
Was a good time, I have a 7 year old so what we did was bought $56 worth of tickets and he had enough to do two separate days of fun. My son didn't like to go on much alone so only spend 2-3 hours each day and he loved it! The only down side to the first experience was coming across the rides or games there was no one around to run them so were working. Over all was fun!!!
Fun
I would definitely make sure I purchased my tickets for the go cards last because without adequate staffing they are unable to get people through and you will waste your money. Mosquito ???? were awful
A fun family entertaining place to visit I did notice some of the rides were in disrepair.and some out if service.
My daughter had a great day and thanks to CAA we got a deal on the bracelets. Great place for families of all ages.
Had a great day with the kids. My only issue was having to pay an extra charge for go-carts. Assumed everything was included with cost of bracelets.
An affordable way for a family to have some fun and make memories to last a lifetime.
Great place! Although when our family visited they were short staff, 1 person running two rides made for long waits also 1 person running all the games made it impossible to play.
It's Very run down and dirty looking. .the prices were thru the roof
Kids had a great time.
Pre booking tickets was easy and the best way to go. We got to choose from the morning afternoon session or evening session. Staff were helpful and very friendly. The rides are great and it was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon
Classic amusement park - kids enjoyed it lots, adults also had some activities like boat bumpers and mini golf.
Nice park...Nice rides
Wasn't what I expected there was a ride down it was only one real good ride was not worth my money my kids had not too bad of a time but wasn't over excited with it and the workers weren't over friendly
Go karts are awesome
Kids love the go Karts and rollercoaster! Great little spot.
Great place to spend the day as a family. Love that mini golf is included.
It was an amazing experience, me and my sisters loves the 5 hours that we were there! I had loads of fun!
Can not believe the level of customer service at this establishment the worst I've ever incountered!!! We paid for 3 bracelets we weren't able to use them at all as the power went out about a minute after the purchase. We were informed that the policy was if it is out for 1 hour that we would be reimbursed. The power came back on at 58 minutes after sitting in the hot sun waiting for the day to begin. we where excited to bring our son (7 months old) on his first rides ever but sadly the power went out just as we got to get on the ride. At this point we've had enough the heat was too much we decided we couldn't have him out in the sun any longer and we would just get our refund and be on our way. We'll it wasn't that easy the "manager" of the park said she was not authorized to give us our money back and said she would have to take our email/phone number and have her boss call us for the refund!!! We'll it's 4 weeks later after calling multiple times and I've yet to receive even a call to say we're sorry we were unable to provide any services at all!!! Would highly recommend finding something else to do in PEI
It's nice local amusement park good for a few hours of entertainment. However, it has one of the worst mini golf courses we've ever tried. The sides are too low, so everyone was losing balls off the course. The course is not remotely flat, so the ball moves all over the pace.
Kids had a blast! Definitely recommend the packages.
too small,nothing to say
Too expensive for low income families
Great little amusement park for a place in PEI. There is enough to keep the family busy for the day, and nearby shops to get anything needed!
It was a fun 3 hours. They are handling COVID very well. Right now everyone has to pay the $20 + tax to get in, you can't wonder around for free like you used to be able to do. It's good value because I went on 7 rides + the excellent 18 hole mini golf course. Food options are poor but you can take your own food in and you can leave and return, which means you can find food at many places locally. It's a well-managed amusement park. We went on a Sunday in late July and there were no line-ups for any rides.
It wasn't fun for our 2.5 year old. I personally think he could have went on the ferris wheel and the big slide but they wouldn't allow him. He was so sad he couldn't go on with his siblings (ages 4 & 5)
Such a fun spot. We bought the weekly pass to all the parks and the kids spent most of the time at sandspit. During the week it was not busy and the kids even got to go on ride mutiple times without getting off.
Always a fun time forthe family! Buy you pass online and save 5%
Really enjoyed my time here spent less then magic mountain, yet still went on all the rides my family and I wanted to go on. If your in P.E.I this is a safe bet that everyone can enjoy.
We had a fantastic time. Lots of rides for all ages. The reason I didnt give 5 stars is: you have to pay for the carnival games and go karts that aren't already included in the price of $23 per person (including very young children), they were understaffed so not every ride had an attendant so we missed out on rides, and the tickets and the website said it closed at 6 pm yet in reality they closed at 4 pm.
Roller coaster down all day. Not brought to your attention when paying. No discount offered or tickets for rides not included in bracelet price. Dissatisfied for sure.
Rollercoaster was the best part.... not many rides but not to big of lines either ...good place for the kiddos
Great fun and not terribly expensive! I had a blast with my 3 kids ages 12, 10 and 4 - there was something for everyone!
So much fun for the kidd
Fun the family good rides nice staff
First time experiencing PEI and the amazing Sandspit! I had an absolutely amazing time with my boyfriend and his sisters family!! Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys carnivals and rides!!
A good variety of rides for all ages!
My 6 year old had a great time!!
Great spot
good for kids, less then average for adults
Fun for all ages from young to old
Great spot to take your kids.
Sandspit was a hit for our kiddos, they absolutely loved the rides and all rides were operating as expected (no rides were down). Facilities were well maintained however there were a few rides/games that one individual had to operate due to limited staff. However we are at the end of the season so I expect many have gone back to school as most if not all are college or high school students. All in all we had a great time and can’t wait to visit again next year.
Not bad at all except long waiting time to get on some rides for no reason at all!
It's is a fun place to visit but there aren't many rides. With the new covid regulations it's so much better . The lines are short and you get right on or the very next turn. Wish the go karts were included in the price. Over all fun for the whole family.
Awesome for kids and young teens. Good value. Location.
Grossly overpriced but still worth a stop
Went as a family of four (for this the bracelets are the way to go) and we got our money's worth...with the exception (and why I give 4 out of 5 stars) we paid $92 for bracelets but they did jot cover the cost of go-carts (I spent an additional $32 to cover 5 go-cart trips). All in all however we had a blast. For a small roller coaster theirs is fun as heck. Went on it multiple times, ferris wheel gives views of the ocean to the North and the drop tower was a hit with our oldest.
Fun but expensive for the parents to get on the rides with younger kids
Fairly expensive for a larger family. Not a large selection of rides but the short line-ups make up for it. My little one slide in the gravel at one ride and hurt her knee... the first-aid station did a wonderful job!!
Lots of fun
If you are planning a fun day go the sand pit park in the morning and then go to shinning waters for the afternoon to cool off both are absolutely great places for a fun day or days with the family
Love it
An amazing bunch of rides for all ages. Reasonable line ups and prices. Feel free to bring a picnic.
Not sure why people complain about the prices. 85 bucks for four people is way cheaper than bracelets for a county fair. We had a great time. Needs a little more options for shade. We left early because we were over heated. Would be five stars if there were more things for little kids to do.
Took a little time to get in because of people in front of us for reasons I won't get into. The lines were fast except for the cyclone roller-coaster they were only letting one cart go through at a time, last time they would send a cart about a quarter through. Overall good experience
Visited for the first time in years with my Son and Niece. I could only watch them enjoying themselves for so long before I had to jump on some rides with them. Great way to spend an evening.
Awesome
Great for kids
This park is definitely small and not a lot of options for rides. It feels a lot more like a moving carnival than an actual amusement park. The beginning is filled with carnival games that are not included in the price of any bracelet or package and the go karts are also not included. To add, I always like to get a souvenir from places I've been and this park has nothing.
Buy the bracelet , don't do the tickets

Awesome!
A great experience for our family. The park was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Lines are managed well and wait times were minimal. My only two gripes were that the lines should have covered wait areas to block the sun and the go karts should be included in the braclets(it comes off as a money grab). All in all a good value for your money.
Had a great time here and the prices arent to bad. Great place to take the family
Fun
(Translated) Awesome! (Original) Formidable!
If I could give a lower rating I would. Returned specifically to use the go kart track. Upon entering the three guys were told they had to use the double cars, not a problem they opted to wait for the next run to have single cars to race in. They were the only 3 in line. While the race they waited out went on the young man working the karts purposely pulled up all the cars so that the guys could not use single ones and then when on break. When the next race round came up the guys were then told it was too much work to move the cars for them to have the single cars, even though they were the only ones in line. The park certainly wasn't busy on Tuesday! When making it clear we were no longer interested in using the ride and wanted our money retuned the young men began arguing with us telling us it wasn't possible. As we were returning to the ticket counter, I clearly heard one of the employees at the go kart ride complaining to a customer about us. When I called him out on his behavior, his answer was 'he asked me'. When we finally were able to talk to a 'manager' she didn't even listen to the issue. Only looked at the employee making faces and saying it was too much work before turning and walking away from us. This area of the Island is focused on tourism and if you believe this is how you will receive repeat business, you'll end up with empty pockets. I suggest you offer your staff some custom service training immediately.
Fun places for all just like being at the fair
Great place and lots of fun
This is a great place to bring your kids, the young as well as the young at heart! During Covidtide, you MUST make reservations in advance, which we found out the hard way. One good thing about buying in advance is that you get a bracelet for unlimited rides, but in order for parents to enter the park, you need to buy the pass as well for them. Still not a bad deal really. Kids LOVED IT!
Needs more rides! Also, they need to fill more than 4-6 cars on the Ferris wheel as it creates unnecessary line ups.
Had so much fun! I instantly turned 12 again!
My first time there was the last day of the season and it was still busy! Fun! Fun! Fun!! Even for a 52 yo!
Really fun way to spend a few hours. Lots of rides and pretty fun for the entire family. Bracelet gets you access to most rides, the racing cars is separate but lots of fun.
Not enough adults working, young teenagers <14 possibly younger. My concerns of that age group of not being able to recognize or accomodate persons with disabilities (ASD) or general safety of the public.
Lots to do here to kill a day. Lots of carnival rides.
Love to visit Sandspit when vacationing with the kids. Always a great time.
Amusement park
We had a great time with our kids and grandchildren.
The rollercoaster is one of the noisy popular rides it works best with two attendants but until after 12:00 there is only one person working the ride. Tickets are not accepted for the carnival games which are cash only.
Geared more for younger kids, lineups for ride we're short so kids could go from ride to ride.
Very expensive to do anything here. But they get away with it because the kids love it.
expert!
The city has limited options and can add more entertaining games. I liked the go cart, prices were reasonable. And I like the options of charge. The city was small enough that you can completely complete your visit for very short time. I don't recommend the daily pass, as there are close to nothing to play I enjoyed the go cart and another couple of games We went at 10:00 left at 13:00
(Translated) A little expensive for what we offer, especially for children (Original) Un peu dispendieux pour ce que l'on offre, s'adresse avant tout aux enfants
Awesome place lots of fun rides and games and awesome staff
Great place to take the family ???? Even our dog was ok to come as long as he was on a leash ????
Beautiful spot. Lots of different ride options. The family loved it!!! Need more food options available to peolle there tho.
Loved it, lovely place to be with family
Awesome park, lots to do.
(Translated) It is quite expensive, there are not many rides or attractions. It looks like the rides are from the 60s and the staff are really not smiling. To go kart, you have to pay an additional $ 8 for the tour. (Original) C'est assez cher, il n'y a pas beaucoup de manèges ni d'attractions. On dirait que les manèges datent des années 60 et le personnel n'est vraiment pas souriant. Pour faire du kart, il faut payer en plus 8$ le tour.

Very clean! Kids loved the bumper boats.
Kids n adults loved it
(Translated) All right, I was able to do it with my 4 year old boy (Original) Très bien , j'ai pu le faire avec mon garçon de 4 ans
Was ok
Great place for small children!!
(Translated) Very good for families. Many game choices for everyone. (Original) Très bien pour les familles. Beaucoup de choix de jeu pour tous.
Rollercoaster broke down and people were back on it within 20 minutes.
Great day with the grandkids
Great place to spend a day
Could of been better if they had music playing while walking around kind of thing. Although, I guess that doesn't matter to the younger ones. But it was a decent experience nonetheless.
Worst experience. Got stung 5 times by wasps at one of their areas.
Great spot for kids of all ages
Lots of fun for everyone!
Mini golf leaves much to be desired. Not one windmill or water hazard. Bumper boats were fun for the kids and the cyclone while looking perilous was apparently fun.
Had a great time riding the rides!
Cood
Fun day! Fun variety of rides with option for all access or a la carte ticket purchases. Clean grounds.
Fun for the whole family and not bad on the prices either.
A fun amusement park for the whole family. Choices of bracelets for the day or you can purchase ticket packs for all rides, except for the go-karts. If you have small kids and want to spend a few hours a day there I would suggest buying the ticket packs.
Good for younger kids
We visited this past Monday as a family of 4 and we had a good time. We had a 17 year old and 7 year old and they both found things they enjoyed. I really loved that there was barely any wait to get on anything. We lucked out! The biggest hit was the bumper boats. After being disappointed with Shining Waters having rides down, we were grateful that all the rides here were working! It is small so you get to each ride with little walking and there are sitting areas with shade. The little canteen sold us a delicious "iced cappuccino". The kids working were all very polite. Money and time well spent. The only suggestion I have is putting another bathroom in near the roller coaster. There is only one bathroom facility on site
Love the rides
has some fun rides just not a lot of them also its quite expensive and the fountain pop is all water.
We had a lot of fun here. The park isnt huge, but that's a good thing. It's just the right size. All staff members were polite and friendly and the park was impecabbly clean. Price is reasonable too!
Great place and even fun for the parents!
Great place to go for a day or evening with friends! Fun rides for all ages. Go karts are fun but could be cared for better
I must admit I was not expecting much from this place. However after my first visit I was impressed with not only the value (our family of 4 got in for $89.50 total for the 12 hour day with complete access to all rides) but also the friendliness of the staff and cleanliness of the park. If you are thinking like I did that this was a permanent type travelling fair you would be wrong. There were rides for all ages from the smallest to the thrill seekers. Snack prices were elevated but not unreasonable. Overall a great place for a day out with the family.
Best place
Sand spit is easily one of the best places to take your family on PEI if you're looking for some family friendly fun!
Nice little park, a little pricey for what they have but the kids really enjoyed.
Good family fun.
Good place to enjoy with family. Amusement parks, lovely beach and residents. If pre-planned than good to stay over night
Nice place, Pity about the weather... But a nice place.
Quite pricey
Great place for kids
Great amusement park for a short visit with small kids...
Our teens had a great time here. Thank you for the laughs! They mentioned the ride times seemed much longer than anywhere else they've been and they thought that was fantastic!
It is ok not much for small kids and kind of pricey to go on the rides.
Fun attractions, not so fond of the country music. Expensive snacks with little flavor.
Very understaffed. Rides needs to be refreshed, as there are no new ones in the last 20 years. Kids loved the bumper boats. Don't order the fries, as they are charred.
Fun for the whole family! I would have gave it 5 stars but line ups were a bit long.
Great fun for the family!
Had a blast. kids loved it.
Really great place for toddlers to young teens. Parents who don’t go into rides go in for free.
Fun for the whole family
Good place for the kids and good deals with other parks around the area
Great time with 8 yr old boy. Food, washrooms were ok. Was a rainy day and wasn't busy at all. They seem to be the best days to be there if you don't like lineups. Read before you go for height restrictions. And if you're a tall person the rides aren't really built for you. ????
Sandspit is a great diversion for the day. As an amusing park it does not have he big rides you will find at other marquee locations. However, it is a great option to let the kids run loose for an afternoon. One of the benefits is that it is pay to play. Meaning there is no general admission charge. This means that parents can either buy tickets or a day pass for their kids. It also provides the option to leave for lunch or other diversions and then return. Parking is free, there are concessions and picnic areas for eating. You can also bring your own food. Sandspit is located close to other attractions at Cavendish.
Had a great day here with the kids. Worth the visit!
My 7 year old daughter had fun. We had a good time together. Getting two all-access wrist bands was the way to go. Luckily the crowd was small and we got there as soon as they opened so getting on all the rides was fast and easy. Limited selection on rides and "attractions" but a decent day for the dollar.
Great spot to enjoy the day with family or friends. Covid precautions were done safely and effectively.
Great loved it !
Great fun for all ages.
Not busy (therefore no lineups) at end of June/early July. Have a 'drop zone' type of ride, a fun roller coaster, bumper cars, bumper boats, mini-golf, big slides, a couple of the usual spinny rides, and a slow-moving train ride for toddlers. Included in a lot of cottage packages
Awesome but wish games and go carts were included with tickets
It was the best time ever
Awsome
Wonderful experience
I have taken my family there prior n. We enjoyed our time there.now find out my best friends daughter n grand daughter went there n basicly refused rides bc. Mixed race family ..thats just not right n she is still waiting on a refund ..bracelet i suggest she get a refund social media reveiw n news .not good for business they were letting smaller children on rides n said was bc of her size to go get platform shoes which eould be going againt size rules too if letting on smaller children if not right height ..but mainly bc she was mixed race ..just not right!!!
The kids love It here, and the adults do too. Fun little park, for all ages.
Great experience
Our family visited this weekend- 11 year old daughter and her 12 year old friend. I was worried there would not be enough for older kids to do, turned out I was wrong!! They had a blast! The park is doing a wonderful job with Covid restrictions- from mask wearing to screening upon arrival to booking on line. I liked booking on line and knowing we didn't have to worry about if it was too busy to get in and have a plan as to when we had to go- we opted for 5-10pm rather than 10-6 and for us it worked well. We preferred being there after/outside the heat of the day. While most of the rides are older everything was well maintained and the staff were excellent. A great option for family fun in Cavendish!
Love the new idea of being able to purchase a pit pass for the go carts
It's not Disney, but it's an inexpensive and fun park for children in Atlantic Canada
Rides are quality. Vending machines didn't work. Lines were quick. Ski ball was not working. Staff friendly. Cleaner than Hinchy's
Great place top hang with your kids
Kids loved the water bumper cars. We showed up late but they could have easily spent the entire day here. 12 and 7 year oldboy with 11 year old girl. I believe it averaged $25 per child. Still undecided if that's $5 to much or not. Would be 5 ???? but their website and flyers suck. There was no indication of entrance fee just the price to ride. Leaving us to assuming we all had to pay $25 and the grandparents staying behind. When we got there, it is free to enter the grounds.
Awesome place. The price should include all rides and features. Some rides are not geared up for big and tall men and women
Fun spot, if a bit dated. 2-3 hours is the max you need here. Good morning activity before hitting the beach. Our favourites were the bumper cars and boats, then the classics like the tilt-a-whirl, scrambler and Ferris wheel. Not tall enough for a family kart ride yet, sadly.
not many rides ,fountain pop was all water, fun but not worth all the money
Sucks
Fun for kid's and teen's
It is a wonderful place, I love it so much !!!
Pros: Low crowd size Short wait for rides Mini golf is included Fair food available Cons: Not all rides were operating Small selection of games Tip: bring your own drinks. 1 Gatorade = $4.75.
Go here every summer with my family it's always fun. Better for the older kids (7+) the rides aren't the best for the little ones. Overall highly recommend love everything about this place.
It was great for the kids ride wise but kids shouldnt be running food venues. Took far to long to get a burger. Quite a lengthy delay. But you know what, its all about the kids and they loved it.
i love it here so much i
Great time!
Awesome place to visit
You will Love it There for shore
Lots of fun to be had with go carts, bumper boats, roller coaster and some other rises as well as mini golf. The food at the canteen is not worth your money go somewhere else to eat like the Boardwalk
Great place to take the kids for the day, and great deals for other park passes.
The kids love it!
A small amusement park, smaller than some carnivals I've seen but fun nonetheless.
4 yr old and 6.5 yr old.. This park os perfect foe theae age groups. Lots for both of them to do.
Great weekend
Clean, well kept up facilities and rides. It's been the same pretty much since I was a teenager (an eon ago), but the kids still have a good time.
Expensive and overrated. GO-cart experience was a bust.
Great place to visit
(Translated) Amusement park with excellent value for money. This is not a big park but even by busy day there is little waiting. The rides aren't extreme in terms of feel, but they were popular even with 15-year-olds. There is no need to pay to enter the site (perfect for parents). You have the choice to pay à la carte or to buy a day pass. Note that go-carts are not included in the pass.
Great place, nice beach, hot salty water ... What do we need more ?
Too many peoples
Had fun except that the go kart attendants didn't inforce the rules. Hard to enjoy yourself when you are constantly cut off on the track.
We had lots of fun. There were tons of rides we couldn't even do them all with our kids 5 and 7 because there were too many. A braclet was a bit pricey for everyone, but it was good fun, and it covered basically everything except the go karts.
A good selection of rides, it could do with something new. The go Karts are governed quite a bit so if you're on the heavier side, the hill is a struggle.
Amazing beach, beautiful.
Great spot for amusement rides
Nice area and beach although it can become quite overcrowd very quickly
We got there right at open. The vending machines were out of change. The pop machines were out of syrup, so it pumped out just soda water, or in the case of the iced tea, yellow water. There was just one girl to run three different games. While we did have fun, and I knew it was a small park, I expected more for the cost of admission.
Excellent place to bring kids who love rides.. but make sure ur child is at least 4'8 to ride go carts solo.. and bring insect repellent lol..
Its not a big park, but the kids love it and the staff are fantastic. Amazing value for a family of 4 with the slide and ride pass.
(Translated) Not enough rides open at the same time for the little ones (they rotate) ... (Original) Pas assez de manèges ouverts en même temps pour les touts petits (ils font des rotations)...
An amusement Park mainly catering to tourists. The park is not comparable to bigger ones like Disneys. It's essentially a compact park with very few rides. Even the lone roller coaster is non scary. But then it surely à good time pass for younger and less adventurous children.
Ok for the younger crowd and younger kids. Not a top notch amusement park
Nice place for kids
We had a pretty amazing time here. Spent a good 5 hours going from line to line. The lines were not too long on the weekend we went. Would love to see more roller coaster as that was my favourite part of the park. Also they should offer cheaper water options as it can get quite hot and 2.75 for a bottle of water is a bit steep after paying admission already. If your reading this before you go, bring your own water/snacks if you plan to stay for the day.
It's fine for an afternoon with the kids if you don't mind that the equipment is getting old, but for god's sake don't eat the food. Incredibly low quality burgers and chicken, deep fried. If you value your intestinal tract you I highly recommend eating somewhere else. This place could use a bit of updating. Also, what's with the holes in the potato bags they give you for the slide?? You can't get nee potato sacks on PEI???
Parik is nice . Staff could be improved
Great place for kids, we've got every summer the past four years and always have fun.
A lot to do for young and old. :) A lot of toddler friendly rides and games for those who have younger children :) Lots of fun for everyone! A must go place if you are in the area. ;)
So many fun rides. Decent pricing
Had fun! Great for the kids.
Lots of fun!!! Try the mini putting!!!
A great place to spend the day.
Great variety of rides, easy to walk around the park, staff was fairly consistently bored out of their mind, but I would be too.
