This is quite overhyped ice cream. I got the PEI strawberry in a chocolate dipped cone. It was very "icy" and not very creamy at all. The chocolate dipped cone was just meh. This is a hard pass for me. Very disappointing indeed. I much prefer Holman's in Summerside. The shop was clean and while busy, the line moved quickly. There were loads of cute cow-themed souvenir ideas including pretty trendy t-shirts as well as snacky indulgences.

We love the different types of ice cream such as "Death by Chocolate", etc. Although there are long lines in front of the sales counter. But the sales principle is quite efficient, so you do not have to wait long to get your ice cream in the hand despite the long queue. It is also particularly cool that the waffles for the ice creams are made fresh and taste heavenly. We went there almost every day. And we would come again and again. (Original) “Superfeine und spannende Glacésorten” Wir sind in PEI zu grossen Cows-Fans geworden. Wir lieben die veschiedenen Glacésorten wie zum Beispiel "Death by Chocolate" usw. Zwar gibt es jeweils lange Schlangen vor der Verkaufstheke. Aber das Verkaufsprinzip ist ziemlich effizient, so dass man trotz langer Schlange nicht lange warten muss bis man sein Glacé in der Hand hat. Besonders cool ist auch noch, dass die Waffeln für die Glacés frisch gemacht werden und himmlich schmecken. Wir sind hier fast jeden Tag einmal hingegangen. Und wir würden immer wieder kommen.

Very disappointed to arrive at Cows this evening and see that no physical distancing measures were in place. We looked into Cows and saw approximately 20 people in line, all within a foot or two of each other. There was no max number posted for entry either. I would have expected such a large chain to be more proactive in fighting the spread of COVID-19. We opted for another icecream parlour down the road that was doing a great job of promoting physical distancing.

Was told this was a ‘must’ to visit while on PEI. While it was good, it is not worth all of the hype. $26 bought us 4 single scoop cones (which are not small by any means) with 2 sprinkle and 2 chocolate rimmed waffle cones. Found the flavour of the cones to overpower the ice cream itself rather than complement. We tried bubblegum, coffee, Oreo, and chocolate flavours. If you’re craving ice cream you’ll enjoy it, but did not feel it needed the special trip.

Busy place but amazing experience, especially if you have kids. They are really good at following their brand. There are tons of ice cream flavor to choose from. Lots of boutiques around the boardwalk as well. Overall a nice spot to stop if you are on vacation or if you want to try a new flavor of ice cream.

The owner, Shelley, of Colonial Charm Inn in Charlottetown recommended us the COWS ice-cream in Cavendish. She says not to miss the freshly made waffle should we try. Indeed it was great! So many flavours to choose from and finally had to settle a mix of two. The cream is out of the world! My husband and I shared as we cannot eat too much. I did regret for not getting two waffles though.

So far I've been there/that area three times and 2 times without much of a line but tonight the line was out the door. There is a chocolate shop next door with tons of candy if you don't want to wait in line for ice cream but the ice cream is totally also worth it if you're not in a hurry. This is our traditional stop on our family vacation every year. Be ready for a long line up, but it is worth it. The portions are large and well priced. The shop has a good variety of quality merchandise and discounted clothing outside. Highly recommend.

Second time having COWS ice cream, first time at this location and it was as amazing as the first. Right on the Boardwalk, it is a convenient spot for a quick snack while shopping through gift shops. Their chocolate ice cream is suuuuuper rich in flavour, their strawberry is extraordinary, the vanilla is creamy - basically all the flavours are top notch. The line is worth the wait.

I went to get a half litre of ice cream this evening and the staff was quite rude. A young guy named Colby(?) took my order and it was dead in the store yet he took ten minutes because he was gossiping with his co-workers. When it was ready he just thrust it at me, wouldn't look at me, and just walked away to continue chatting. The experience was disappointing to say the least.

Such a fun place filled with memories. Cow's ice cream is delicious and I had to get a whole bunch of their fudge when I was there. Picked up a couple cheeses too and they were fantastic. It adds to the sunny, happy vibe that Cavendish provides to its visitors.
