Me and my homies hate a rude meanie who worked there who was abusive also found dead possum it was epic and was forced to clean stuff on spring cleaning day like trash with bare hands and got cut on glass. (the best part was the water day when we got sprayed by firemen and threw sponges at eachother)

My review is based on our personal experience from when my son was in grade three. He is now in grade seven, but I've amended my review as I don't believe it was worded fairly. I don't think there are many positive aspects to highlight with regards to Parkway apart from some of the staff. There are definitely some fantastic teachers and staff here. With that said, my child's grade 3 teacher should not have been teaching at the time. He openly admitted to the class that he has anxiety and "didn't have the energy" to listen to them. I completely relate to and empathise with mental health struggles, but his grade three students are not the appropriate outlet. He wouldn't notice if a child left the class to go to a quieter place because it was so unruly. He had no idea how to control or deal with the "high need" children and therefore children like my son and his friend got no attention because they were viewed as "self-sufficient". Bullying and violence were a massive issue for us, in my experience, as well as other moms I've spoken with. There was no accountability. The new principal did his best to convince me that there was; but he was all talk and very little action. Our son was a victim of very serious violence (in grade 3, no less) and I had to call the school multiple times, write a letter and then file a police report to have anything done about it. Even then it was not to my satisfaction and the "actions" did not last long. We (along with other parents) have moved our kids to a school that is known for accountability, transparency and a true "zero tolerance" for bullying. During registration we were informed by another mother at the new school that the previous homeowners (whom we purchased our house from) did the same. I sincerely hope they have changed for the better since learning this lesson.
