I would highly recommend this school, my daughter loves this school very much, she looks forward to going every day, we are planning to enroll our second child this year, I would not send my children to any other school, the teachers are very caring and understanding. I love the parent-teacher meetings, in-class review etc that gives parents an overview of whats happening in the class every day. Keep up the good job BMS. God bless!

I highly recommend this school. It has been a positive experience for us. My first 2 children were part of a parent participation preschool with child number 3 we decided to try a Montessori. My child has learned to be more independent and be part of a classroom environment. The teachers are caring and respectful.

If you have one parent staying at home, then you could go to this school. Otherwise, you wont be able to go to work. Parents need to do a lot instead of teachers.

My 3 and 4 year old sons started attending this school this year. They transitioned very well to the new environment with the help of the teachers and support staff. I feel that they are learning so much every day academically and in terms of practical life skills. Both my children are very energetic and active and the Montessori philosophy has really helped to ground, calm and teach them discipline. My husband and I are both very happy and proud of the work this school is providing.

We are having a very positive experience in BMS. Amazing owner, amazing teachers and support staff. My kid is doing kindergarten here and loving every moment here. I really like the way teachers are connecting with the kids and making them comfortable and feel home. Kindergarten teachers make sure they shake hands with the kids and have a nice conversation when they start the day and end the day - helps the kids a lot. My kid is usually shy, but he felt BMS setting helped to open his shell and explore. update dec 2020: -- For the higher grade we wanted to find another school for my kid. Ms Jackie was very kind enough to provide the recommendation letter with a very short notice(of just one day!). Thank you so much Ms Jackie for the warm gesture.

Both of our children have experienced great advancements in their manners at home and their continued growth. we are great full to the staff for their hard work at this school especially throughout the pandemic when we had so many worries with safety. We did miss not having some of the parent involved activities but the school did a marvelous job with keeping children safe with the right protocols and the school remaining open throughout.

Very Strange school. Needs a lot of work from parents. Teachers did almost nothing. Doest care about kids feeling. Learned something but has very little time playing.

I highly recommend this school as my second child is currently attending here and I can see her development and habits change even at home. The teachers are always pleasant and easy to deal with whenever I have asked for additional tips to introduce at home. My older son completed kindergarten here too. In elementary school he is way ahead of the other kids in his class, and I am thankful for the head start in the learning at this Montessori school gave him.

Great school! I was specifically looking for a preschool (not a daycare) for my very active and inquisitive daughter, that I could be involved with. In addition to reading, writing and numbers, she is also learning art, geography, nature and life skills. The life skills has been great because it has made her more independent at home and more motivated to help with chores around the house =) The teachers are very kind and I always have opportunities to talk to them about my daughter's progress when I pick her up/drop her off at school. There are many activities throughout the year that require parental involvement such as field trips, Mother's/Father's Day events, and concerts. The school occasionally requests materials for class crafts, like toilet paper rolls or egg shells, which is fairly common. The school does have a sign up sheet to help with class laundry (dish towels & painting smocks) and to bring food to the concerts. I personally think this is something the school can manage by itself, but it's a minor enough that it doesn't bother me too much. The most important elements of a school I would be happy sending my daughter to are there.

This is a fantastic school for little ones, we are so happy to have found this place. The teachers and other staff have been amazing with our 3 year old, who tends to be quite shy. In general, you get a sense that there is a good balance between structure and learning with fun and exploration. The parent/teacher meetings are productive - it's obvious that the teachers are super observant and attentive to each child's needs. Most importantly, our child seems to really enjoy being at the school...he's often singing a tune he's picked up or happily sharing what he's just learned.

My son has been going to Burnaby Montessori School for almost a year and he enjoys it. The teachers have been great, caring, and patient with my son. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Burnaby Montessori offers flexibility by staying open for emergency child care for essential workers such as myself and my husband. It is a tremendous help for us so that we can focus on our work providing essential services while still feeling assured that our son is in good care. My sincere gratitude to Burnaby Montessori and thank you for all the wonderful things that you do for our family especially during this hard time.

We had 2 kids attend this school and witnessed the change of ownership. The quality was quite poor at the beginning under the new management with lack of guidance for the parents and overall communication. It had a liquidity of teachers as well. It appears that new efforts are being made recently which hopefully will lead to success.

I have two children at Burnaby Montessori. I am amazed at the progress my daughter has made since she started at the school. She has grown academically and has become very independent. The teachers are patient and caring. My children enjoy being there.

Great school with amazing teachers who care. My son looks forward to attending each day. The teachers are kind and understanding which creates a cheerful environment for the children and parents. Admin responds in a timely and professional manner. Classes are flexible with an AM and PM option. We are looking forward to summer session. I appreciate that health and safety are important at BMS.

I will never take my kid back to this child care anymore, even though they are close to where i live. They can't send kid home when they didn't behave well, they hurt my kid's feeling

Finding Burnaby Montessori was a blessing. The administration team is always very helpful with any inconvenient I have had. The teachers, at least the ones for the half day pre-school program, are excellent! They are kind, respectful and attentive. The kids, not just mine, are so well behaved and they are always happy to arrive.

Excellent school, my kids learned alot, I recommend this school. Montessori is different from day care and focuses or independence and self exploration, so your child might get less playtime but will definitely will learn things way quicker and better. Some of the Teacher's are really knowledgeable and focus on child's overall development.

2 of my children have been attending Burnaby Montessori for 2-3 years now, we absolutely love teachers, office admins, and owner. They make us feel like family because we can openly express our concerns in regards to our kids' behaviors, education, and development. I believe the way to properly guide and prepare children for the future requires both teaching of the parents and teacher; simultaneously be in sync with each other to teach children moral values from home and structured routines from school. The teachers genuinely care about the development of each child as they are highly attentive to the wants and needs of the children and parents' perspectives. For example, my now five years old daughter learned how to sew and recognize all the continents at the age of four. I didn't learn how to sew until I attended high school at the age of 13. My eldest, nine years old has not yet been introduced to continents in the neighborhood's school. This shows how much patient each teacher puts into teaching the children. The teachers are not there just to do a job, they actually care and respect each child and parents.They are so kind and friendly that to show my appreciation for their hard work, I would bring them gifts and/or treats because they honestly deserve it.

Both my sons (7 and 5 YO) attended Burnaby Montessori! The teachers and owner are great and amazing! They really try their best to attend to the children’s needs. My youngest would often come home with fun stories and arts and crafts to share with me. He definitely misses Ms. Gabby and his friends!
