In the recent past, I hired a young man to work with me. After the first day, it was apparent that B had academic struggles in both math and English. I took him to Sylvan Learning Centre in Lethbridge to have him tested. After an initial assessment, we registered B in classes to begin his academic journey. He has progressed rapidly under the tutelage at Sylvan and is very motivated and excited to continue. The wonderful staff continue to work with myself and a government agency to get B all the help he needs. I really appreciate the fact that if B is struggling at work with a certain topic, and he brings it to the attention of his teachers, they are willing to incorporate the concept into his learning schedule as soon as possible. I trust that with the help of Sylvan Learning, B will be able to write his apprenticeship entrance exam, get his GED, or anything else he sets his mind to. The sky's the limit!

Sylvan is a game changer, it has been one of the best decisions we’ve made for our child. My son has a speech disorder and as a result has a very hard time learning to read and write. This leads to huge frustration in all areas of his life and requires multiple levels of support in and out of school. Add this to the fact he could be the most strong willed child I have ever met and you can imagine our struggle to find resources that actually worked and he would participate in. We had a bit of a rocky start (as predicted) but now he runs into the building excited to get working and learning. He feels very successful and proud of the work he turns out, it’s such great feeling to see his confidence increasing. Nancy and Polly are exceptional educators and have bent over backwards to accommodate my son. They communicate regularly if something works or not, include any suggestions I may have-I don’t doubt they would do kart wheels if that was was the best learning tool for my child. In the last 2 months we’ve gone from not even being able to identify letters to reading simple sight words. It’s an investment that is already paying dividends, I would recommend them, and regularly do, to anyone whose child needs extra support to get to the next level.

When our children were in Junior High and High School they both attended Sylvan. The Sylvan Staff made it a very rewarding experience for our children and it became a real 'game-changer' in their education experience. The staff really took the time to learn about them and the type of learners they were. They then developed a plan to see them through the tough years of math and english. They both graduated with their 30 level courses and have since gone on to succeed at secondary college. Our daughter has completed an applied degree in Land and Water Resources. I would highly recommend Sylvan Lethbridge to any child struggling in school or knowing how to study. The staff absolutely care about each person and they treat you like family. I applaud the staff at Sylvan for helping our children receive academic success !!!

Sylvan Learning has helped my son a lot. It is worth every penny. My son has trouble reading. He hated to read it was always a fight at home. Now he will read with me and when I tell him he can stop now, he asked if he can keep going. His self esteem has gone up, as well as his school work. ????

We have had a great experience with Sylvan this school year. Our son was behind with reading and I didn’t know the best way to help him. We decided to give Sylvan a try after a recommendation from a friend. I love that they have actual teachers doing the tutoring. I just had my year end conference with my son’s teacher and she was thrilled with how far he’s come. I attribute a lot of that to Sylvan!
