Sent my kids there in the past. Guess what, they say they teach the kids how to read but then we find out after 3 years when my kid went to elementary school that she was pretty well blind in one eye and the other was not too great. So if that was the case what were the staff at Rowntree Montessori doing? The answer - a puppet show of smoke and mirrors I’m telling you. They’re professional and do good things but really I’m paying a tonne of money and the adults can’t tell that the kid couldn’t read? Pathetic so called learning facility.

We cannot say enough wonderful words about the downtown campus. Our child is having an amazing time in their pre K program. The lessons are engaging and authentic. Despite the pandemic, the staff at RMS have gone above and beyond our expectations at providing a nurturing and caring classroom while following strict health and safety procedures and protocols. We appreciate the small classroom and school setting in which all the teachers and principal know your child. It is a wonderful school community to be apart of, we highly recommend RMS!

Our son has been going to Rowntree for a couple of years now and it was honestly the best decision we could have made for him. His teachers have been so wonderful and supportive. They’ve always taken the time to give regular feedback and let us know how our child’s day has been going. The teachers genuinely care for the children. For anyone considering enrolling their child at Rowntree I thought I’d share a few details; the course material has been amazing and they cover a lot of variety such teaching kids how to read, spell, add, subtract, use various Montessori tools. But in addition to this, there are so many other things they focus on such as STEM program, a great French course, arts and music. It truly is a great, balanced and enriching program. There are a lot of optional extracurricular activities to choose from such as cooking, martial arts, tennis etc. And they have several field trips as well as student events such as Christmas concerts, and Remembrance Day ceremony. They teach kids the importance of charity, not being a bully, and donations through the various programs they run at school. We love that they have the option for before and after school care. And there is one other thing that has been very convenient and that is their summer program as not all schools provide that. It really puts our mind at ease knowing our child can go to summer school right at his school with his teachers and they have a fun summer program.
