Excellent Bakery! The bumble berry pie is absolutely delicious! A must try. Scones are moist and not too sweet. Just great. Everything looks wonderful. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Went there twice during my stay. Alexander Graham Bell Historic Site is right down the street as well. Good find!

Patio dining because of covid restrictions. I had a sandwich on multigrain bread and mom had the lentil veg. soup (very thick) and beautiful gluten free bread. She liked it so much she bought a loaf to take home (along with some other bakery treats). Service was friendly and attentive. Their home baked goods looked really good. I tasted the cinnamon roll and it was moist and just enough cinnamon. We had an ice cream but it wasn't smooth, had ice crystals. But they didn't make the ice cream so I still have them 5 stars.

Stopped for coffee - which was good. But man, I got a chocolate peanut butter brownie and holy moly was it good. Was my first time to Baddeck, but would recommend it as a stop for anyone visiting.

Excellent choice for a good breakfast that is much cheaper than the one at our hotel. Opens early too. They also do great sandwiches, cookies and packed lunches. Eat in or take out.

Long wait and bad food. Had the egg white on a muffin. The egg was overcooked, muffin tasted stale, spinach was raw. Would not recommend.

An excellent local cafe bakery. Everything is great. They make a very good trail lunch pack if you are visiting Cape Breton National Park. Great Service. Busy for breakfast and lunch.

The apple strudel here is like nothing I have ever experienced! I don’t know what they put in those things, but they are like apple pie from the oven of god. Came back several times for them even though we were quite a drive away. Totally worth it! Also very noteworthy, the apple cranberry scone, delicious, light and fluffy, and the apple turnovers, great flaky pastry with generous amount of tasty filling. Bakers know what they are doing here, a must visit place!

Two out of the three employees there seemed like they absolutely hated being there. Especially the gentleman taking our order (glasses and bald). Zero smiles, cold service - which was quite off putting. Coffee was watery. Our blueberry muffin was okay. Breakfast is cheap though! Don't expect tables to be cleaned until the kid absolutely has to clean them due to people literally piling up in the front. We are always happy to have breakfast and coffee wherever we are. But we like to feel welcomed, not like we are imposing on the employees and establishment.

In addition, a very well-filled tuna toast and two fruit salads. Everything was fresh and brought to the table quickly. We can highly recommend the Highwheeler Cafe. (Original) Bestes Frühstück in Baddeck. Wir hatten tollen Cafe, nicht das übliche schwarze Spülwasser, einen Bagel knusprig getoastet mit Käse, Tomate und mit Ei und Speck. Dazu noch ein sehr gut belegtes Thunfischtoast sowie zwei Obstsalat. Alles war frisch und wurde schnell an den Tisch gebracht. Wir können das Highwheeler Cafe gut empfehlen.

Staff were friendly and helpful but the breakfast was tasteless. Got the eggs and toast. Eggs had no taste, most likely made from powdered eggs! Ewww! And the bread was homemade so it had no processed taste but also no taste at all. Got the multigrain so lots of grain in the slice but no taste. And add to that, the coffee was just brown water. Again had absolutely no taste. Asked the staff about it and they have me a fresh pot which tastes only slightly better. Was very disappointed with overall experience and other reviews have been so very favourable.

Terrible coffee - tastes like dishwater. Beyond weak. Breakfast sandwiches were very soggy and dripping - not sure if it was from the ham or what but it was not very appetizing. Staff weren't particularly friendly. Surprised by this places high rating. Ended up dumping the coffee and going to Bean There down the street where it was slightly better.

Tasty breakfast choices - scrambled eggs, bacon, thick sliced whole wheat toast, and bagel sandwich with egg, cheese, and tomato. Had to get chocolate peanut butter oat cookies, peanut butter cookies, and chocolate macaroons.

Such a great find in the village of Baddeck! A group of us stopped in for a great, homemade, hearty lunch and we ALL bought amazing baked goods and/or sweets as we left. I highly recommend the oatcakes with peanut butter dipped in chocolate. You will not regret buying them!

Great spot! Busy when we came in but service was not slow at all. Latte and the turnover were delicious. The quinoa scramble wrap was very good as well, although it was cold, unless it’s supposed to be served cold.
