if your kids have struggled with making friends, fitting in, or are eccentric bright individuals, do not enroll your children at Namao. This school will take what is unique and brilliant about your children and snuff it out with unfair punishment, teacher neglect, and a toxic social environment.
this school has severe issues relating to bullying. Teachers and students alike were nothing less than cruel in my one long year of being there. Its clear that this school knows who might stand out or be at a susceptible disadvantage of not fitting in. In response to this, the school and its teachers do little to create an environment safe for all, but one in which the exclusion and isolation of said students is an overlooked and an encouraged school culture.
this school also has a significantly troubling mindset when it comes to the issues exhibited by its students. Namao has shown itself, in my time of being there, that little to no consideration is taken when it comes to providing insightful and mature forms of problem solving. Such little consideration in fact, that they are very happy to put your grade 2 and grade 3 children in detention, all while serving you a side dish of boomer punishment rhetoric such as "if you did the crime you do the time".
this school, its teachers, its staff and its authority showed me when I was little that it had no care for me, . This school will have no care for your children either, that is, unless your children are socially conforming, oatmeal flavored boring children, then they should be just fine.
"isolating, punishing, and exclusionary" are the words that define namao's school experience. at least the therapy business in Alberta will be making lots of money, thanks Namao.
