We haven't enrolled our child yet( we are looking to send for next year). I personally didn't find The administration staff professional. I felt like she was interviewing us and between her talk she was burping(no pardon me until after few more burps. She was pregnant so we didn't care much but would appreciate a "pardon") I didn't find her to be professional to be honest. What she has told us we liked the school but I'm yet to find "real" people who are actually sending their kids to this school. The school will be back in our minds but as of now we are not sure. Hope it helps.

This school is just a bad environment for me the bullying brought me down that sometimes i did not want to go to school. I swear to God I've been in this school since Maternelle and it pains me that I have to write this review cause it used to be a good school . dont choose this school . coming from an old student, this school is toxic. this is just a bad school .there are better and less cheaper schools. trust me this schools is not worth it.

Very bad service, people with no empathy at all. The school is awful and not organized. Pay for alliance classes is way better .

Monsieur Chemin

The only school in Calgary that offer both french and albertan curriculum. I am very happy that my daughter will take benefit of the two systems, and be fluent in both languages.

Good baguettes in the teacher's lounge, but the vice principal is extremely authoritarian.

good teachers, questionable admin.

Send your kids here if you want to financially support an institution that completely ignores Alberta education laws and violates human rights by not supporting kids with disabilities that they accepted enrollment for.

Overall a really great school. My children have been at the school since pre-kindergarten and I feel very fortunate to be able to provide them with such great education (dual curriculum) and bilingualism. Small class sizes with fantastic, committed and caring teachers create strong learning environment for kids giving them solid foundation. Small classes also allow teachers to get to know kids well which I think is very important. Perhaps being a smaller school, sometimes it may not offer things that large schools can, but my kids have always found something interesting to do and participate in after school. Additionally, connected to many schools worldwide, the school offers great opportunities of international exchanges in older grades and to participate in various international projects. Being able to obtain two high school diplomas will open many doors for my kids in the future, I am sure of that.

Our son has been going to Lycèe for just over three years. From the moment we met the administration staff to the first day of Kindergarten. We had such a warm welcoming. Genuinely kind staff and answered all our questions. They are so helpful since our son suffers from a few medical issues. We enjoy the smaller class sizes and all the extra attention he gets. The education he is getting in French, English and the Music, is some of the best we have seen. He has made many friends whom are from all over the world. What a great experience! He loves the climbing wall and the new playground as well. We highly reccomend this private school to any parents who are seeking a better education and alot of recreational extras are included.

Very good school….we came from France and the staff was very professional helpful and understanding of the situation… we couldn’t ask for more. The teacher and assistant are marvelous and very patient. The program is complete and advance. We do recommend that school.

This school is such a gem, it is unique in the city in providing a truly bilingual (English/French) education plus a third language (spanish), which starts in grade 6. Graduates get, not only an alberta high school diploma, but also a French and spanish language diploma to open up new and exciting opportunities for them in the future. The strong academics and small class sizes drew me to the school but by far the best thing about the school is the sense of community that this school provides. I have 3 kids at the school, all of them started during the maternelle years. The school has become a close knit family during the last 5 years, the teachers and the administration truly care about the kids. The school has really stepped up during the pandemic providing an excellent on line program when the schools were closed and even an ongoing virtual program this year to accommodate children with medical issues and to those that may need to quarantine. Lycee Louis Pasteur is a truly amazing, one of a kind institution.

Horrible experience. Students got 2 pens and 1 pencil for the whole year with no calculator or geometry sets. The administration is extremely unorganized.

Excellent French Language program. Very good teachers, and have a european twist on festivities that is very enjoyable. Small class sizes and great facilities for a small school. My children love it, and despite us not being french first language speakers, they are learning well beyond our capabilities and do their homework without the need for help.

Parents 1922

Great French and Spanish language programs, caring teachers, below average administration and unreliable governance structure

After 12 years experience with Lycée I can clearly say best boutique school in Calgary.

colin james

Very good instruction over-all. Despite being a completely French school except for English class, my childs english was still excellent on provincial testing. The school is very friendly and has a nice community. Children seem to be happy, and ours has always had lots of art and music instruction that she has enjoyed.

Does not worth to send kids to Lycee. It was the biggest mistake that I made to let my kids stayed there years. To give your kids a better future, stay away from Lycee. Find a early France immersion school in your neighborhood, your kids could make more friends in the neighborhood.CBE schools have more resources than can benefit kids more. My kids like their new school more and already more friends. save the school fee and take your kids to travel and see the world, or spend on some good program. There are some bully problems too.The accent is not that important, if you want your kids to inprove French accent, register them summer camps at AF in South Calgary (17th street & 29th AVE SW)

Wonderful, small french speaking school with both the french and Alberta curriculum. Wonderful teachers and family atmosphere. Good wine and cheeses too - really french cheese! Our kids have loved it from age 3 Maternelle to grade 6. The classes are small and they learn really perfect Parisian french. Our kids still get told their accents are authentic, and their knowledge after middle school was amazing even though we arent french speakers.

We have 2 children attending the Lycée and both started their journey in the FLIP program (French Language Immersive Program) at separate times. With no prior french, they each quickly caught up to their peers in a way where they did not feel overwhelmed and were able to integrate easily into their respective homeroom classes. Both kids seem to be thriving at the Lycée and love to go to school everyday.
