My daughter attended for 2 years. At first it was fine but then started to plummet downhill. My daughter was potty training and I would send her to daycare with panties on and numerous changes of clothes. Every day I would pick her up and she would be in a pull-up, often so soaking wet it would soak through her pants on the way home. Another concern was when my mother would occasionally pick her up. I don't mind ID'ing someone to make sure they are on the list, I prefer it. The issue was that they couldn't seem to find my daughter's records or even seem to know which child she was or what room she was supposed to be in when they went looking. Made me wonder what would have happened if there was an emergency. I know they had a large staff turnover around that time but it is no excuse for either of these issues.

If your children ride in one of the vans on the west end of Edmonton, just know, they are being driven in a very unsafe manor. This van has been seen speeding through school zones in multiple occasions. I sent an email to the daycare, but never received a response. The lady driving is an older lady, she is picking up from Bessie Nichols school, and possibly Annata Brockman also.

Our daughter has attended Discovery Land Daycare for the past 2 years. It is an amazing daycare, full of activities and constant fun and learning. The summer schedule is incredible. They take the kids everywhere! Never a dull moment. I cannot say enough good things about our experience. All I see are smiles from our girl when I pick her up. She even gives me trouble for picking her up too soon as shes having fun with her buddies :0)

My mother works here, in the infant room, she does a great job and all the babies seemed incredibly happy and loved having fun with the teachers. I went in to volunteer one day and loved the environment and structure they have for learning, parents were content coming in and kids were always excited to show them all the cool and fun things they did or made. I helped out with making some origami owls on tree perches, the kids loved it and would never stop coming over asking to join in once they seen how cool all the other kids owls were. Great daycare, friendly and responsible staff!

We have attended this Day Care for 3 years and I feel like they love both my children as much as we do. They are thoughtful, attentive, engaging and educating. My 3.5 year old often comes home with new information and we are always amazed. They do a lot of crafts, signing, learning and playing. We would absolutely recommend this day care!

My two boys attended this daycare for the past year (ages 2 and 4). I can't give the staff and program enough praise. My boys learned so much while attending this daycare, I couldn't believe it when my 3 year old came home able to clearly write his name! I also definitely didn't teach my (just turned) 2 year old to count to ten. I couldn't believe my ears when he came home one day counting everything! The staff are simply wonderful. They were so helpful at drop off and pick up, and I could tell they genuinely cared for my children. Our experience here was 100% positive and I would recommend this centre to anyone!

My child has been going to this daycare since he was a baby, now in preschool room. We left our child in the daycare when we had our second child out youngest will be starting in the program in March. Our son comes home with crafts that he has done daily and its great seeing how they incorporate the alphabet into the craft. I see his interest in dinosaurs met, he runs into the center and goes right to these 2 huge stuffed dinosaurs. My sons teachers greet my son by his name, my husband by his name and myself. They are warm and welcoming and make my son feel so special. Thank you to everyone at the daycare. Lee and family

I have my child at this centre in the Out of School program. I love their program. My child does not want to be picked up early and by early I mean at 5'o'clock. I have seen and followed their vans, (Sorry Alecia) I needed to calm my partners fears and it was something that she (Alecia) said to do, so for someone to say they speed they are wrong! I have no problem with them taking my child to school. I do agree with Kyle 11 out of 10 stars higher if possible. I am glad that we changed to this program as I have never had a happier child. Thank you Maricel and my son really likes the new teacher Marcia and of course Alecia you 3 are the best! Mark

My child has been attending this centre since September. The morning staff made dropping off in the morning so easy, they gave me suggestions on what I could do. He comes home singing songs in the van on the way home, I get different crafts sent home everyday, (he knows when I have removed one off the fridge) and they have been a blessing with potty training. Thank you!. I also love how friendly everyone of the staff are, the one lady in the preschool room always says hi to both me and my son! There snacks of fresh fruit and vegetables is great, my son now eats cauliflower and quinoa. If I could give these caregivers, my sons second family 10 out of 10 stars I would as they make going to work easy for me!

My husband and I just love the Director, love the staff and are just so happy! They go above and beyond to make my 3 children happy! They know when they need to give my middle child an extra hug or just some space until he is ready to start the day! I find that the centre is always clean, organized and smells great! The use of creativity the do in the activities they plan is mind blowing! I see and hear from my kids everything they do everyday. I get communication books, the staff talk with me or my husband and we are always welcome! Both my husband, children and I would recommend this daycare to anyone! Wasn't impressed too find out by my child they were involved in a accident, then after talking too other parents on Facebook in a group chat there was two accidents!?!? Come to find out after talking with each other and our kids Alisha was driving both times so why weren't we notified!?!? The last week my kids will be there because of her negligence and clearly not driving according to road conditions. Beyond upset!!!! I'm sure other parents will approach you on the matter tomorrow as well! Completely unacceptable!

I just had to write a review! I am so happy with the care my 2 children receive here. My son came home proud as can be that he can write his name all by himself, he was so happy, he said that teacher s said he could do it just go slow, Thank you teacher s! My daughter is in the out of school room she can not stop talking about everything they do in the room. She brought home a wooden structure that she built with very little assistance and the daycare sent home pictures of how she did it. I gave this daycare and out of school 5 stars but I would give them more if I could. Kepp up the awesome job everyone!

My 1 year old daughter was in the toddler room and was left in a poopy diaper all day, my sister picked her up for me and seen the staff was very rough with my daughter as she was scraping the dry poop from my daughters bloody bum resulting in a rash that was very inflamed and bloody. I wouldn’t recommend this daycare, my daughter didn’t like the workers and she was only there 2 weeks. The workers didn’t help me in the morning when I would drop off my daughter, they didn’t take her from me. Every morning was a struggle to drop my daughter off because the workers were to busy worrying about the attendance. The room was over crowded and clearly not enough space for the amount of kids they have. Very disappointed.

Bad daycare no unsafe for children . They are agressive toward children especially with minorities was a witness of the abuse the day care is doing to child of colour . Should be close

I have 2 children that attended Discovery Land Childcare for the last 4 months, I am very happy with the overall program, the staff are friendly, my children are happy therefore I'm happy. i enjoy all the little extras that's done such as the Children's art work setup outside beautifully displayed for us parents to see and a breakfast morning for us parents who are rushing off to work. Just the little extra little things they do for the children and the parents. Thank you.

Great place feels like home, very nice, clean and organized. My child enjoys going to the center. We feel at ease knowing our child is well cared for and happy at daycare. Great staff!

This daycare is absolutely amazing! Alecia and all of the workers are fantastic. We have been struggling to find a good daycare for our son as the transition from day home to daycare and school has been extremely difficult for him. We came here stressed and helpless and explained everything we were dealing with to Alecia. We left there feeling confident that they cared about children and that they would do their best to help him be successful. Since he’s been there we have noticed major improvements, he has started to feel more confident and we can tell he’s growing fond of the workers and building trust with them. It’s been a difficult and at times a stressful process, but they always make sure to let us know of all of the positive things he’s achieved that day. Thank you all so much for giving him the time of day and to continue to work with him! We appreciate it more than words can describe

I have had my 2 children attending this daycare since 2014. My toddler is just starting to potty train, when I spoke with the four ladies they all said to me "We will go to the washroom every hour, bring in lots of changes of clothes, as there will be lots of accidents until we have a routine in place," so far we have only had two accidents. I love the staff that are in the centre now, they care and the love for the children is very apparent when your child is greeted by name, and I go in and I have several different teachers speak to me, even though my child is not in the room. My oldest is in the Out of School program and I am always getting told by him that I am to early picking him up. The Director is always there and she spends time with my daughter in the toddler room, along with all the children. It's a very warm place and I will be very sad when my children will be to old to attend. LADIES KEEP GOING STRONG! THANK YOU FOR TAKING MY WORRIES AWAY.

We so happy with this daycare! The Director is always there she is so friendly and open, always has a hello and hug for the children and even us parents. The teachers are always approachable and happy. There are always lots of hugs from the teachers and from my kids to them! The activities they have for the children are so creative and fun! They go outside everyday, my children come home happy, dirty and they tell us everything they do each day and the songs we hear from them are so great! There are days my kids don't want to come home because they are having such a great time! The facility is clean, they are very organized and they treat the children with love and affection. Thank you for making my kids happy and for the great job you do!
