Never had I ever had so many issues with a school. From staff to lunch options to parent teacher interviews. First off, there is no microwave or hot water for kids to use at lunch. Now I don't know If this is standard but other parents I have talked to think its absurd. There is also no lunch area. Kids sit in their desks and eat lunch in class. Their not allowed to get up. Second, no teacher seems interested in parent teacher interviews. I had to pull answers out of my daughters grade 5 teacher to find out how she was doing In school. It was like this teacher had no idea who my daughter was. This was a March interview as well, so more than half way through the school year. I like to get my kids hot chocolate in the mornings in winter, and If my kids werent done by the time they got to class, they had to throw it away. I just think this is silly. Let my 5 year old drink a kids hot beverage at his own pace. Third, the staff are INSANELY rude and pretentious. If you are not doing things their way, you're doing it wrong. Heaven forbid your child is ever late a few times in a row (cause you know life happens), you the parent will be harassed by the teacher, receptionist, and other members. Need to drop your kids off at the drop off area in the morning? Better tell them to tuck and roll while your still driving cause you cannot stop for more than 30 seconds or you'll be harassed as well. I pulled up at 8:17am and was leaving at 8:19am, and the principal came to my car to tell me I cant stop and he was watching me from the window. He told me I was holding up the line, as If him stopping my car wasnt doing the exact same thing just so he could scold me for not being faster. I like to say goodbye to my kids, as I'm sure most parents do. I dont know if it's because I am a young mom or what other issue these staff members have some bias against, but I cannot wait to remove my children from this school. I do not recommend this school to any parent that may be less than perfect or younger. My kids even talk about how much bullying there is and nothing is ever done about it. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.

I did not like my grade one being let out the doors without me. We had just move to Edmonton 3 days ago and letting him out without an adult seemed reckless. We moved schools 3 weeks after.
