I've been a student here for 7< years, and in elementary it was great except for grade 6. My grade 6 teacher once told me that I "should've been listening", when I had asked for help although I just didn't understand do to the teacher not even being able to teach the subject in an easy or understandable manner.
The students are kinda good, just make sure to not lie to people, don't be two faced, and make sure to have good hygiene. Although you may not like/enjoy many of your teachers, you should still respect them. Although when I was here i didn't like my grade 7 social teacher who's last name starts with a "G", I still had to respect her.(I didn't enjoy her due to her giving so much work every night. Much of the time when I was in grade 7 I wouldn't be able to sleep till 1 - 3 AM due to stress about school work. The teachers are also sexist, the often treat the males more tough and don't acknowledge that we should be treated the same way.
The school doesn't have enough money to keep many of the staff so we have lost so many good teachers like Mr. King, Ms. Seeley, Ms. Tekahashi, and more. The custodians are very nice towards staff and students.
There are some students who think they are from the "hood" or whatever and it's really annoying due to them living in the suburbs, many of the students use clout/popularity or looks to bash each other down mentally, and there is a lot of drama.
This could be a great school if they listened to the students more instead of staying on the teachers side every time. If something goes on between two students, they discipline both students instead of the person who started the situation. This doesn't make the student more disciplined, it just makes the student dislike and and the school more due to the supervisors and teachers not disciplining the person who started it.
The teachers make stupid and ignorant decisions when drama/arguments have broken out. While I was in elementary, although I was a small child, the teachers acted as if I was supposed to act like an adult. Much of the fun was taken out of recess and breaks due to the supervisors, teachers, and students who are as soft in the head. Many of the activities me and my fellow classmates and friends would do, would be considered dangerous although nobody had been injured while we were doing the activity. Instead of taking away the activity fully, they could have adjusted it to a safe manner so that students can have fun in a safe way. The students litter on the fields so much and they won't stop.
The main principle we were going to have had came for a few months then left, and now we've had an assistant principle acting like principle for the past two years. We haven't gotten any information on the previous/original principle and I don't think we ever will.
