Everything went smoothly and as planned from design on their computer, to emailing of plans, to revising plans, and installation. The installer (Mark?) was professional and didn't leave a mess or damage the walls. I experienced the smallest of glitches in the process and my salesperson Katelyn Stewart went the extra mile to satisfied me. Maybe I'm old school but I think it's best to go to a showroom to see the products. Gotta say, I love my closets!

As stated, in the beginning, the whole process was seamless, professional and price efficient. The sales aspect with Joanne was considerate, price conscious, and enjoyable. Her follow up and concern to see our closet needs met helped alleviate our stress. She kept in communication with the scheduler and the installer to ensure we were serviced properly. The scheduler, Jodi, was great. She met our timelines, informed us of other options and gave us notification of upcoming dates. She was responsive, polite and helpful. The installer Mike was fantastic. He sought our opinion on decisions that may have impacted the end product while not being an imposition. We are so thrilled with our new closet! Julia created such a positive (virtual!) experience and made us comfortable from start to finish. Her professionalism and attention to detail helped us feel confident in purchasing the closet for our new home without even being able to meet in the space or view samples. Mike and Joey did such a great job with the install and were very respectful in following our stratas guidelines regarding COVID-19. Its a strange time, but this has certainly been a bright spot. What an amazing experience . We where hesitant at first given the potential price difference between a star like California closets was to quote and other local cabinet builders had come in to quote on the same project. True to form the price was different between Cal Closets and others in my area BUT LESS THAN 10% LESS. From The hop we just enjoyed Kristen Ross ability to take in all the information and the vision we had. She had the virtual design done in short time and the process of design to install was seamless. Albeit we did have a small imperfection on installation that was not to the 100 % satisfaction of my wife and Jodi Matura Of Cal Closet's and Kristen Ross Just rocked it like a Hurricane to get us to BEYOND 100% satisfied . There might be plenty of options when it comes to selecting a builder for your home closet needs . You might even save that massive 6% and that might actually make or break your budget. BUT The way we see it and the response that has been received when our guest walk in has delivered way above and beyond what we had hoped for and expected. I have had previous work by California Closets and this time they installed in my laundry room - there were a few unexpected things that the installer told me about only once they were done rather than consulting with me prior - such as location of shelving and hooks on walls - this time also took a lot longer, so I am assuming the installer did not have the same experience as the last installer

I'm very very happy with my new closets. They add much needed storage in the bedroom, and more importantly they are sooooo beautiful to look at. The hardware suggestion by the our designer Stefany really makes the closets stand out - and since they are out in the open it was more important that they look like beautiful furniture. I love all the little details - the pull out shelves for bedside tables, the hidden jewelry pull out shelves, and the hamper - why haven't I though of that sooner? A built-in hamper is so much better than any other solution I've used, especially in a small space. The craftmanship of Mike, the installer, was outstanding. He took a lot of care and time to make everything perfect. I'm glad I went with Califonia Closets for these particular closets because everyone can see them all the time, and the quality is much higher than other closet companies we have used. It's money well spent - pretty and practical.

My wife and I had always wanted to get a custom closet made, and decided to go with a well known company. We received top quality service and the design consultant RP was able to answer all of our questions. Definitely go to their showroom a few times to get a sense of the colours and options that are available. First in-home consultation occurred Dec 21, 2019 and the installation occurred Feb 20, 2020. The in -home consultation is where they take exact measurements and start to design the closet and this takes at least 1 hour. The designing and consultation process took the longest several weeks as the design consultant was very busy in January. Deposit 50% to order materials, balance upon completion of work. Pros Final product exactly matched the planned 3D blueprints. Completed within our specified budget. Site was clean after installation. Study construction. Cons Will need to take at least 1 day off work or work from home as installation takes at least 6 hours and they don't install evenings or weekends. California Closest does not include or offer removal or preparation of the closet. So we decided to complete this work ourselves which is time consuming removing closet racks, patching holes and then painting. Took at least 6 hours. Communication was a bit tedious, as the Designer RP was on vacation over the holidays and they don't provide coverage by another designer. It took about 40 emails back and forth to ask about different options and colours. Every small change required a new 3D design to be made and a change in budget as different materials and options cost different amounts. I wanted to speak to the designer on the phone but because of the time difference of where she was on vacation and our work schedules we had to rely on email. Installer was not aware or did not have the parts to complete installation on the first installation appointment. I didn't notice until the installer had already left. The valet pins and scarf hook were missing, so we had to schedule a 2nd installation date. Paid $5K

We had our closet and kitchen bench/library done. Stefany helped us with the design process and she was excellent! She always had great recommendations and listened to our needs. We were never forced to do anything. The installers (Ian and his colleague) were great! They did a fantastic job with the installs. There was a manufacturer issue and California closet reordered it and sent guys to reinstall with a complimentary accessory. We really like the quality of the materials and the designs. It looks great in our house. The cost is a little on the higher side but the quality is there. You get what you pay for. I would recommend them to my family and friends.

Our initial thoughts on California Closets were good ones. We had heard amazing things from other people who have used them in the past and our initial meeting with our designer left a good taste in our mouths. After that everything changed. The second we signed all the paper work and handed over our payment information it was completely downhill. We were misinformed about certain things, e-mails were ignored, measurements were incorrect and our unit had to be re-done. They were more about protecting themselves, than admitting they made a mistake and try and make up for it. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. Be forewarned as well if you do decide to ignore this and use their services that they do not install corner cabinets. I’m sorry what?? This may not be a huge deal to most but for us, we now need to pay someone else to install the corner doors after already spending a ton of money with California Closets. It makes no sense!

From the first moment I arrived at California Closets and met Kendall, I knew this was the place for me! Kendall designed the most amazing closet for me. She listened to all my concerns and needs and proceeded to design a closet that is beyond suitable. She also made sure I had enough space in my small closet that I was using initially, for all my hanging items.
