Working with Mary was such a wonderful, positive, and fun experience. I had sent her some information ahead of our first meeting and she arrived prepared, with ideas and suggestions (that were spot on) and a set of swatches for us to keep. She really listened and also brought a clear understanding of design and the impact color can have on a house in various places -- where to avoid overly strong colors, how to emphasize the entrance, etc. When we finalized our colors, she provided us with a handy digital palette that we could share with painters and our homeowners association. We were really impressed with the thought and care she brought to the process and SO love the end result. It's been over 6 months now since the house was painted and we continue to comment on how great the color choices look when we arrive home. I will keep passing on Mary's name to people. Mary did a consultation with us as we pick new exterior colors. Our house is big and old and has lots of hard-to-describe trim details. I had been frustrated working with painters where we both stood on the ground and pointed at things, trying our best to describe what we meant: "That horizontal board that kind of runs into that angled trim piece should be, like, light grey." You get the picture. That all got better with Design Intervention. Mary was sharp, clear, and detail-oriented.
