Had a fantastic experience dealing with Sam Scott (Boss Design) building our second home. We had a challenging lot as we had already own it so we wanted to make the most of a zero clearance lot. Sam not only took our challenges but created a home that surpassed our expectations! The angles, windows and light they allow, are just a dream! We ended up with more useable space then the home we moved from with double the lot! Having someone experienced with design and space goes along way. Otherwise we all just live in boxes. They say it takes three builds to get it right, but I think it’s because you learn where to spend your money to really maximize your goals of building your dream home.

Details and design flaws came out later in the build process. Support post designed in the middle of the glass railing stairs (We cantilevered the joists to eliminate this which baffles us why this was not done in the first place), Stair landings and stairs not designed properly to code from the onset and then hid behind a disclaimer on the prints upon discovery. Top it off, we were told we could not build out a room on our rooftop, which upon further inquiries we can. All items which should have been designed properly from the onset. Disappointing experience overall.

Jeremy and the Boss Design team have been great to work with over the last 5 years. Within my role as a masonry stone supplier and estimator, the Boss team has been great to collaborate with to create stunning home designs that make sense in the masonry scope. The architects/designers at Boss are accessible and interested in real life implementation of their work - this is a huge bonus for the trades/suppliers, and provides massive value to the end client. Boss changed our entire experience of designing a home. We went to them after months of working with another designer, only to feel frustrated, unheard and disappointed. Within 2 hours of meeting with Boss, they understood what vision we had for a timelsss craftsman home. Not long after that, they had designed exactly what we had hoped for...and more. They have only the best of the best working for them, and it truly shows in their work. They answer your questions in a timely manner, let you know where they are at in the design and leave no room for uncertainty. Although their cost for house plans is higher than most, no question that it is worth every penny. It changed our unpleasant and stressful experience into a fun and exciting one. This has set the tone for the rest of our house build to be a positive experience. I would recommend meeting with Boss to anyone thinking of building a home. You will not be disappointed.

I worked with the team from Boss Design on several projects. They are kind and easy to deal with. They are usually on time, or at least try their best to be. Their work is outstanding. I never had any issues with their design quality. Brett and Jeremy are excellent in understanding the client's personal wishes for a custom home. Claudia is great at transferring that design to a blueprint. I don't have any reservations with Boss Design, and I will definitely use them again in my future projects.

My project was a very complicated home addition, and I had so many unexpected road blocks preventing me from getting the required information to Boss Designs, the process took much longer than anyone could have anticipated. The Boss team worked diligently with me and directly with my foundation engineer (whom they recommended) to get the project done right. Top shelf class and a finished product to be proud of.
