Choosing Two73 was one of the best decisions we've made. I've been continually impressed with their thoughtful design and guidance over all aspects of our project. We actually started out our project with a different designer, and switched after a continued poor experience. The difference was night and day after switching to Two73. Kelvin and Hayden grasped what we wanted, worked efficiently, and provided us with fabulous designs for a passive house. Moreover, they provided VR iterations, which allowed us to get a true feel for what the layout will be like. When we hit an unexpected hiccup from the soft sandy soil on the geotechnical report causing a need for some design changes, they worked hard to make these modifications (and didn't charge for the extra time this caused). As we moved into choosing the finishes, their interior designer Lee has also been a pleasure to work with and does a great job meshing our style and the layout of the house with thoughtful and tasteful finishes. They were always responsive and I have no doubt that we can continue to count on them as we move into the construction phase.

For the last six months, my husband and I have been working with Kelvin on the design of a two bedroom, two bath basement suite at our dream home. During that time, Kelvin has been extremely professional, created a beautiful design, guided us through the process from choosing a contractor and other sub-trades and worked with the city on our behalf. With his assistance we had a great team in place from construction to design so the suite will be move-in ready once complete. We have yet to start the renovation but look forward to continuing the project with his guidance and expertise.

Kelvin was instrumental in moving our sketches and ideas into a warm, functional and well crafted house. We easily achieved a net-zero ready BC Building Code Step 5 home thanks to Kelvin’ Passive Haus certification knowledge and his guidance. We wished he had this certification prior to starting, however, we didn’t suffer because of it. He was always at the ready to assist and save us from unnecessary blunders in both design and construction. We could not have achieved the design we landed on with out his respectful insertions during the process and he had well calculated opinions and helpful suggestions along the way as well. This included local knowledge on different builders strengths and weaknesses. We were very fortunate to have Kelvin preparing our home plans. ~Calders

Creating spaces based on how we live and work within our home.
