So happy with my service at Twohey home! Our new home is happily furnished by this amazing family store! Heather & Sherri are so amazing to work with and have helped me so much in my choices. Our kitchen table, sofa, pillow and rugs are so beautiful and well made and we will enjoy them forever! The sofa is literally my favourite place to be at the end of the day. We get so many compliments on it and our bench table. I have not only found my favourite furniture store, but a couple of great friends too! Thank you, over and over again!

I’m not sure why I was treated so poorly at Twoheyhome. I was dealing with Linda Twohey. I was interested in their Fjord rocker reclining chairs. Very nice and comfortable chairs Very pricey as well. I knew exactly what I wanted. Rocker Reclining Fjord chair. Should have been a very easy sale. When I walked in to the store, I believe she was helping another customer upstairs. No one else was there. I sat in a couple of their chairs to see which one I would prefer. After greeting each other I had mentioned that I tried coming by 2 other times but they were closed. The reason I mentioned this is because I work out of town, it’s difficult for me to come home clean up and go furniture shopping before 5. Regardless I left work early because I want to support local businesses especially now a days. Everything is going online now. I hadn’t even taken 10 minutes of her time at this point, it was well before 4:30pm. I mentioned to her exactly what I was looking for. She showed me a few other chairs. One chair was having issues with the battery. It had nothing to do with me. I was interested still. The battery issue had reminded me of the issues I had with a previous recliner I had. I started to ask questions about warranty. This is when she became short with me and very dismissive of my concerns. In no way was I implying their furniture to be poor quality. I was concerned if in the event I buy a 3000 dollar chair and I have issues. How would I be able to deal with that. She started informing me of what was covered by the warranty. She wasn’t confident on the length of time and said I would have to look it up. I said ok. At this point another customer had walked in and I could tell she was uncomfortable answering my questions constantly looking back at the other customer. I offer her the chance to go greet the other customer by saying politely. If you would like to go help her out I can try out these other chairs. She was maybe 5 minutes with the other customer and they walked out at this point. I made my way back to the Fjord chairs. I pretty much had one picked out at this point. She told me they are a very good quality chairs and I should look them up. This is when she gave me her card. At this point I was feeling rushed out of the store. I reiterated my previous issues with reclining mechanisms. I was just looking for specifics on the warranty. She became even more impolite and short and said “I can’t tell you about your other recliner, I don’t know it”. In a very dismissive way. I replied I’m not sure what I have done to upset you but I never asked you to tell me about my previous recliner. I was sharing a relatable experience to why I’m inquiring about warranty. Not once had I implied that their products were inferior in any way. I was merely concerned with a worst case scenario. At this point she turns her back to me immediately and walks away. I was upset at this point. I had done nothing to upset her. She is a sales person her job at the very least is to answer basic question about a warranty. I waited about 20 seconds after being rudely snubbed by her. I really wanted to buy this chair, I liked it. I just wanted to make sure that once I spend 3000 plus dollars that I would be taken care of if ever the mechanism were to fail like they had on my previous recliner. At this point I was beside my self at how rude she was to me and voiced out loudly that if she would have been nicer I would have bought that chair. As a customer I couldn’t justify being treated this way and giving her a sale. Now I’m not sure where I can buy a Fjord rocker recliner. Other stores carry Fjord however they do not stock Fjord rocker recliner they have other models. Extremely disappointed after leaving work early to support a local family owned business to just leave empty handed and disrespected.

I had a fantastic experience working with Holly at Twohey’s. She was incredibly knowledgeable and very responsive to my many questions. In the end, we found the perfect chair and light for our living room. My first contact was in person prior to the Dec lockdown, all other questions and negotiations, including photos, price conversations and colour matching were done via email and over the phone during the lockdown. Delivery was ahead of schedule and contactless. Will be purchasing more from this local shop for sure!

Can't thank the team at Twohey Home enough for helping to navigate our furniture buying adventure during Covid. My wife and I are extremely happy with our dining room, living room sets and our kitchen table. We were looking for items that were a little more customized and the furniture options at Twohey allowed for that. The quality is second to none with many of the pieced handcrafted in Canada. Advice for people looking during this pandemic, order in advance! it can take a while but the team there really managed our expectations. I'll be using them again and would refer them to anyone looking for quality, custom furniture.

If you are shopping here, be aware of your prices. Unfortunately for us, we didn't and just paid more than double the price for a set of stools. Identical product at Costco and HomeSense for less than 1/2 price. Also if you look at their policy, there is a 40% restocking charge for returned items. Buyer beware. Further to my post I did hear from Twohey and they offered a completely satisfactory solution. Thank you for your quick response.
