I was at the knock on wood store last week and I was shocked how ignorant the owner was, his staff were nice but he was very rude. First of all he was about 2 feet , standing behind me following every step / every were I went. Told him what I was looking for and he said I had to leave the store as he didn't have time to follow me around . I said I wanted to browse / look at bedding too . He said u have to leave I don't have time for that to follow u around. My understanding was he might of thought I was a shop lifter but nothing is small in there and my first time in there . I was evended and asked if he thought that and tryed to show my cash as I have never stoled in my life. Anyway I'm surprised that people like him have or get any business what a looser!!!

Lots of great & quality stuff in here. If you're the browsing type, you're in luck because you'll likely go unnoticed. However, if you do actually want to buy something, once you do manage to flag a staff member down, service is great!

Recently, we downsized from a 2500 sqft home to a 900 sqft home. With the purge came the want of some new furniture, except I had no idea where to start or how to choose what I wanted this next stage of our life to look like. Well, Leadia, the interior designer with Knock on Wood (who's services come with no cost or obligation), has been a wealth of expertise and ideas, even going so far as to visit us shortly before moving in to take measurements, creating drawings for us and walking us through the store with her top 3 suggestions of everything we had talked about. Leadia spent so much time with us making sure to get it just right. We've purchased almost an entire living room, and still need other things, but we've never felt any pressure to do so. I can speak quite honestly with her about our style and budget, and she gives us her honest opinion back. Its been a wonderful experience. Our goal was to choose a local company in downtown Peterborough who sources Canadian-made goods. We are so happy with what we've chosen from Knock on Wood and are continuing to make decisions with the help of Leadia. Thank you so much for your exceptional service and inventory.

Amazing Store in Peterborough. We recently moved from the GTA and we were very surprised to find such an amazing store here. We have bought many things here but the recent sectional was delivered the day after they called us and they moved the old very heavy couch and set up the amazing sectional. Very high quality products for way less then you would spend for the same thing in the GTA!!!

Thank you Knock on Wood. Excellent customer service all around. We purchased a new bedroom suite for my daughter for her house while going to school in Peterbororough. My first thoughts before going into KOW was that the items would be much more expensive than what we could buy in the GTA. WRONG... After selecting the suite, we contacted the distributor to find out who also sold the same furniture in the GTA. I did a price comparison and found that KOW beat the other stores out by $500. From the beginning, the service at this store was very professional and helpful. They took the time to sit with my daughter and I to pick out all the items that she needed as well as mentioning upcoming sales. They even recommended a place to purchase the mattress and bunky board at a good price. Day of deliver: Well, these two gentlemen I have to say were top shelf. They were the most pleasant, efficient and took extra care in bringing the suite down the stairs and setting it all up for us, to the point of even putting felt tabs on the bottom of all the furniture ends. What a pleasant and refreshing surprise! (These two need a good pat on the shoulder) Sorry Peterborough and KOW, I won't doubt you again.. Hey, we need a mirror, will be in soon to see what you have.

We are absolutely blown away with how fantastic it has been to deal with the staff at Knock On Wood. We had a very unfortunate mishap involving a brand new couch, a two year old and a permanent marker and they went above and beyond to help us resolve the issue. Within two weeks the couch was picked up, fixed and returned to us in perfect condition. Can't say enough good things! This is the kind of store you want to buy from. I've had my sectional for about a month now and I can't think of a bad thing to say. We are so impressed with the style and quality. It was a large, expensive purchase but well worth every penny. What a grate experience! The sales Lady was very helpful and friendly. She was extremely knowledgeable in the pieces we looked at. Not pushy at all but more than eager to make sure we were getting exactly what we were looking for. Delivery staff were extremely respectful, always removing their shoes. They even took the time to set up the rug and funiture making sure it was exactly as we like. We will definitely be doing repeat business.

Knock on Wood - beautiful pieces and great customer service! Recently I was looking to invest in 2-3 large couches but was unsure of exactly what I wanted in terms of brand and style. Luckily I ran into Paige and she has been an amazing help throughout! She was able to help me decide what I wanted and what would work well in my space. She is very knowledgeable and was able to explain all the pros and cons of specific brands and fabric choices etc. Ultimately, she was able to help me choose two gorgeous pieces in a fabric that should stand up to daily wear and tear and last a lifetime! The test of a business is when things don't go perfectly. We've been customers for many years and everything we've purchased has been of high quality. Their sales and design staff have been lovely to work with and in particular Leadia has been extremely helpful and pleasant in every encounter. We purchased dining chairs from them about 5 years ago. They have a rattan seat and they started to break down. It was well past warranty but we went into the store to seek advice on having them repaired. Leadia and Dave, the owner, took the situation very seriously and worked with the supplier. They supplied new chairs for the cost of shipping, $25 per chair. To us, this is above and beyond expectation. We couldn't be happier to be customers of Knock On Wood. Thanks to Leadia and Dave.

I visited Knock on Wood the other day to take a look at their sectional couches, and I was soon greeted by Paige Rothwell. I asked her a million questions about models, makes, materials, and more. She was incredibly patient, and answered all of my queries, displaying a vast knowledge of their products and interior trends. Paige also offered some excellent ideas on how to incorporate such an important piece with my existing furniture, layout and decor. Another aspect of Paige's approach that I really appreciated, was her no pressure attitude; in fact, she encouraged me to give it some time and thought. One thing I do know for sure, is that when I'm ready to make my purchase, I will be requesting the services of Paige Rothwell. I came into some money & I thought it would be great 2 go take a look. As a First Nations member with long hair I walked in with my ladyfriend (non native) and everybody started staring as if they were ready to call the police !!
