I am IN LOVE with my new master walk-in closet by Built in Durham! The service from start to finish was absolutely amazing. Very professional, friendly and an easy going team! Before even seeing a dime from us, Jim and his team put together an amazing 3-D design of our new closet and assisted us in different price points and add-on features. I loved that I could visualize just what my closet was going to look like before I made any decisions and I was able to put my pinterest visions all together to make a beautiful walk in closet that I have always dreamed of having! We were amazed at this no obligatory quote and the time and precision put into meeting with us to see if we were a good fit and what they could do for us! Once we decided we wanted Jim and his team to proceed they did so with precision and efficiency and I am so beyond happy with the outcome! I highly recommend them!

We were introduced to Steve & Jim in the midst of a large-scale Main Floor reno and are extremely happy that we made the decision to put our fireplace feature wall in their very capable hands. In fact; they hit it out of the park! From the outset; they were patient with all of our questions regarding design, materials and overall project-scope so by the time it came for the hands-on work to begin, we were very confident that their recommendations were aligned with our vision. We replaced our original brick fireplace (dated & tired) with a modern linear fireplace flanked by custom cabinetry & shelves on either side and the dimensions, layout & craftsmanship are outstanding. We also purchased a new, larger TV to be situated above the fireplace and the guys did a fantastic job taking mounting considerations into account before they built the centre column, not to mention the seamless (and sightless) cabling for our current set-up while future-proofing us for A/V component additions down the road. The resulting transformation exceeded our expectations. Most importantly; Steve & Jim treated our home like their own always taking extreme care to protect our floors, existing walls, etc. On the backend of each day; they thoroughly cleaned-up such that we wouldn’t even have known they had been onsite if not for seeing the progress that had been made. During the days when we crossed-paths, they were always super friendly and personable… a genuine pleasure to be around. We have future reno’s in mind that are in their wheelhouse and Steve & Jim will assuredly be our first and only call. We are delighted with the end result and would not hesitate to recommend Built In Durham to friends & family considering a similar renovation. We look forward to our next project.

Where to start with this amazing company! We were doing a full renovation bottom to top with and added 2nd storey on an old bungalow. We were coming into drywall stage and needed to figure out a custom walkin closet system for our massive master walkin closet. In doing my due diligence I opted in getting 3 quotes from different companies. To say I was underwhelmed in the first 2 companies would be an understatement. Upon my first consultation with Jim I knew I was in good hands. Their state of the art walkthrough preview program they offer is really second to none. I was blown away at the service they offered for the price they charge. We went back and forth a few times to really narrow down what would optimize our space most and also did a design just to see if I would like it for our walkin linen closet. Being under a timeline to get the house to market their team was able to slide in exactly when I need them and do both installs with in one day. Their installer Shawn really put the cherry on top with the whole experience and nailed it! You will not find a better quality product, customer service, and overall finish product anywhere else. I will always use Built in Durham for my closet systems.

We are so happy with the first 'job' completed in our new home by Jim and Steve. The built-in for our master bedroom is EXACTLY what we wanted - down to the soft close drawers, precise height, and shaker-style door fronts that we requested. They even surprised us with automatic lights in the cupboards at no extra cost. When I arrived home on the last day of installation, I caught them thoroughly cleaning up after themselves so that it would seem as though they were never even there (except for the new built-in, of course!). From start to finish it was a great experience. We are not handy and were not exactly sure what we wanted so they provided a lot of guidance. We can not say enough about the installation. Jim and Dave were so great to work with. They were meticulous and it was an absolute pleasure to have them in our home while this project unfolded. Built in Durham were amazing to work with. We had a challenging project in that we were looking for a built in that was to make the most of the space around 2 windows and a gas fireplace. Other companies could deal with the built in and had great designs, but we would have had to hire multiple contractors for different parts of the job. (i.e. electrical, gas considerations, removal of old mantel etc). Built in Durham and Jim took it to a whole other level. It was no problem to deal with gas code requirements or special requests we had for the new TV.
