Just bought our first home and we are desperate to have our kitchen remodelled so we booked an appointment with Mike on our first day in the house. We were feeling a bit nervous about our reno as our kitchen has an odd layout. After taking several measurements and discussing a bit what we were hoping for, Mike sat down at his laptop and drafted up a layout for us on the spot! We are so impressed with his design, he had ideas that we hadn't even considered to make the most out of our awkward space. Looking forward to working with Mike further to flesh out the design and build our dream kitchen! If you are looking at getting an Ikea kitchen, I highly recommend having Mike help with your design.

The worst contracts I have ever seen. Constantly playing the sore loser they can't measure, bend timber to fit and literally cut corners. DO NOT TRUST THEIR WORKMANSHIP. I found missing screws, extra holes and blood uncleaned hidden behind drawers. they leave trash and come and go around their own schedule then blame you for delays because of their late workers. DO NOT USE THIS CONTRACTOR.

Used them for a kitchen remodel at the height of Covid and 10 months later there was an issue with some plumbing. It ended up being an issue with a faulty part rather than install but Larry (the plumber) immediately took care of it - no questions asked. The team quickly came to fix the damaged cupboards. In my opinion getting people to come back and provide "warranty work" is extremely important. I respect and appreciate how Mike and his team took care of us.

When Mike and his team took over the renovation at my café Selby’s Bunker in Cole Harbour, they walked into a disaster. After 6 months of delays with previous contractors, I was frustrated and beyond squeezed budget wise and time wise. I needed solutions now! This is exactly what Mike did - he came in, he was transparent and it was evident that it wasn’t just a job to him but that he deeply cared. He was present during the entire process and blue prints were provided to conceptualize before work was approved. He explained to me material options for finishes providing flexibility while adding his own helpful design flaire to maximize the use of our structure and adding character. This meant late nights and early mornings - in fact, the day we got our occupancy permit, Mike stayed after midnight to help us clean so we could flash open the next day. Selby’s Bunker would not be what it is today - a space where happy moments are being shared and the community seems to enjoy without the work of My Box Builder. Thank you to Mike and the team - we hope to work together again on additional future projects!
