I had a new kitchen floor installed by Dusty. He did an amazing job. Our house is small. At that time I had 3 dogs, me and my husband and countless company dropping by. Dusty was so professional and worked around us. I have had numerous compliments on his handy work. I would highly recommend Dusty to any one who wants flawless workmanship. He knows his job well.

Due to a miss communication by my husband to me I gave a low rating to this page I am now correcting this. In these trying times one person help me pick the perfect flooring and I am loving the quality and style of my floor and I am so glad I choose Stadwicks carpet to buy the flooring from.

Disappointing service. Put a nail through our main water pipe. We had to fight with them to pay for the water clean up, plumber and city water shut off/turn on bill as they said that it wasn't their fault. Once that was fixed and the carpet installed in our newly renovated basement we noticed that they damaged all of our new walls that we had meticulously painted by scraping them with the underside of the carpet and somehow taking gouges out in other places. The paint and drywall was stripped off of the corners of the walls down to the metal caps and even in a couple spots on the bulk head. The installers also cut long deep gouges along the base of all of our walls in the process of trimming the carpet to size. Along the seams of the carpet they left hard ridges of glue and in a couple places our carpet was either not tacked down properly or trimmed poorly leaving a bubble in the floor. The carpet was left a mess with lots of staples lying everywhere and loose fibres from cutting the carpet. We were also treated in a condescending, disrespectful way by the salesperson who in the end apologised but when we communicated all of these problems to the owner he also treated us in a disrespectful way defending the work his employees did. He gave us an example that if they take up a flooring to put a new one down and the subfloor is mouldy that is something that the homeowner needs to fix so they shouldn't have had to pay to repair our main water pipe. We told him that wasn't the same thing because our house was in good shape until they showed up. We told him that we would like some of our money back because we would need to replace the carpet sooner than we should have to because it was done poorly. He said he would look into it and get back to us. After a couple days we left a voicemail to check in and he never got back to us. Bottom line their service might be fine if everything goes according to plan but don't expect them to be helpful or polite if it doesn't. I wouldn't have even given them one star but I was forced to so that I could click on 'Post'.

Called to find a sealant for repairing cracked vinyl flooring, and was met with rude insulting attitude from whoever answered the phone. To quote them: "You don't know what youre doing." and "I think the best way to deal with this would be for me to just hang up this call." Couldnt just say no we dont have this or maybe suggest something else. Won't be calling again.

At first our experience picking out and ordering new floors for our house was good, customer service seemed to be decent. We told the guy we were working with that we needed a laminate floor that would work well with kids and dogs and wouldn’t scratch easy or ruin with water since it was also going in our kitchen. He gave us a brand that he claimed was the best with kids and dogs and that we would love, so trusting him we choose a colour we liked and waited for it to be delivered for install. After a few months of having the floor installed I’m not sure these people have any idea what they are talking about here! Our floor is terrible, any little thing scratches it ( including my sons toys which are wood) the floors always look dirty even after you wash them and really we are just not happy. When I called stradwicks to complain they basically said we can send someone out to look at them but there won’t be much we can do. Very disappointed in this company and the floor we received, now we have to live with it until we can find the money to replace, and mind you these floors were not cheap either.

Anyone renovating will attest to the fact that things don't always go smoothly. Carmen from Stradwicks has gone above and beyond to see that everything was to our ultimate satisfaction. The grout did not dry to the expected color as shown in the sample. Not Stradwicks fault but an inconsistency with the supplier. Stradwicks remedied it by applying a sealer in the perfect color. I was not thrilled with the initial caulking of one of our tiled showers and it was immediately removed and fixed. The tile we ordered was different from what the supplier shipped and the tile we had chosen was then discontinued. Carmen opened the store on a holiday so that we could make new tile choices. I have been in to Stradwicks so often that staff greet me by name. Renovations don't always go smoothly but it is how these issues are dealt with that make all the difference. I highly recommend Stradwicks!

Gus North Bay has worked with Carmen and Stradwicks on several projects and I am very impressed with their integrity. They stand behind their work. We all make mistakes but Stradwicks never makes excuses, and in this business that is a huge benefit for us and our customers. Thank you Carmen
