I have purchased the product online without noticing that it utilizes gas - My house does not have gas and I wanted a electrical one, but I made a mistake buying a gas one. The product was delivered on Jan13th and when it was installed, the delivery person did not connect the dryer to gas since there was no gas in my house. He did not mention at all about this product uses gas and left the installation unfinished without noticing me. Because the house was under renovation, I did not test the machine until 2 moths later. The laundry was first time used on March 2rd and the problem of no gas connection was found after the electrician came. I phoned customer service on March 10th asking for replacement of a electrical one or refund. My request was denied. This was my mistake mainly but the installation was not finished and I was not informed about it. This product costed a lot of my fortune and I end up having it sit there in my garage, new. This is the most unpleasant purchasing experience I have ever had in my life. If I had a second chance or future purchasing needs, definitely NOT HomeDepot.

It was big had a lot of stuff but none of the staff had many idea what products were in their department or even what they were for and that's when you could find one. Also flubs it quite annoying that several aisles were gated off so staff could restock but we're not talking a couple of pallets sitting the aisle and some staff diligently replenishing empty shelves we're talking a young person slowly putting a couple boxes of stuff on shelves on otherwise fully stocked shelves and no safety issues. I have you 3 stars because I can excuse some of the inconvenience and terrible price gouging in your store because of COVID but then stuff mentioned above was not COVID related

Worst customer service I have ever seen, after calling tool rentals 4 times without an answer decided to call customer service. They transferred me and after 10 mins on hold no one answered. Eventually had to make it into the store to get some kind of service , when I arrived to tool rentals that guy at the desk told me their phone had not been working for a while and the calls just dont get transferred. Once all of this was done I had to return some items and waited in front of customer service for 5 mins without even being acknowledged while 4 workers were behind the desk. Eventually spoke up and they told me to get to go to pro desk and then got sent back to customer service . Last week after placing an order online I went to pick it up and after 20 mins waiting for them to bring it out it was completely wrong and I had to redo the whole order as nothing matched what I had ordered Sort yourself out this is unsat!! After spending thousands of dollars at your store I am done with this ridiculous service

I got storage racks on my last trip. One of the staff was extremely helpful in making my selection. It's a large store and I like that they have a wide variety of hardware items. When it's something a bit unusual I check their website to see if they have store inventory. There are restaurants, Bed Bath and Beyond and many other stores adjacent to Home Depot and lots of convenient free parking.

Store signage for opening incorrect, staff in garden center not helpful. Yard staff were helpful. Not much selection in garden center. Terrible waste of time trying to shop here in Fredericton Home Depot. At 9:00 the Store manager announces garden center won't open until 9:30 when signage says 9:00 weekdays with a dozen people lined up. Poor management! Once in the garden center I asked a clerk how many pots of geraniums were in a tray, her response to me was "I have no idea" and walked away. I will be telling everyone not to bother going to your garden center it sucks. Outside people were pleasant and helpful so I gave it 1 star.

If I could give this place no stars I would .... I give this place the lowest I could,,,,, I purchased all my appliances, fridge,stove,dishwasher,washer and dryer, I also ordered my $2000 vanity for my bathroom, and this is were the problem started,,,, I payed for this to be delivered to my house, first I was snub by the delivery company that they used and wen I finally got the vanity in my house after going to pick it up myself parts were missing, so I called to have them send the missing pieces, I waited weeks and weeks to be told that it would be 3 months to get the parts, I was offered $100 gift card for my troubles, this was an eye opener,,,, I was going to buy my complete kitchen cupboards here, glad I didn't. I can tell you one thing for sure ,,,,I will never ever buy from home depo again for my house needs I'll go to Kent or Home Hardware I'll even pay more if I have to.

I have always appreciated the way home depot staff helps in purchasing different products. However had a terrible experience when i went to return lawn mower which i had purchased almost a week ago. The sales guy mentioned that i as a user not being satisfied, is not a good reason for the return. Contradictory to the policy of customer satisfaction by home depot. I had asked very specifically at the time of purchase that if i am not satisfied can i return it and i was told i have 90 days for the return and all this fuss was made within 1 week of return. He was rude and was not bothered about what i had to say. he kept going on that policy changes and he needs managers approval for the return. My Question is if the receipt mentions no questions asked than why all this fuss. I had to get down to the detail of explaining him the height of the grass land area that i have. i am highly dissatisfied by the staff behavior and will think twice before i make any more purchases with Home Depot. Terrible customer service.

I called and ordered 30 sheets of drywall with my HD card. When the truck came the driver asked me where I wanted them. I said in the basement. He said I can’t do that it’s curb delivery I can only drop them in your driveway! I sent them back and ordered from Kent and 2 nice young guys brought them to the basement. HD then called back and said I had to go to the store for a refund. Have to do better than that folks!

Have enjoyed shopping there. note enjoyed Great staff, knowledgeable, excellent service and they strived to provide great service. So why have they shot themselves in the foot by forcing us to use self serve check outs? Makes no sense. Went in today, picked up a cart, went up to the registers with a number of things to buy and there were two staff showing people how to use the self serve registers and no one at the regular register. I can see the convenience from both sides if one has one or two items, but I am not attempting to ring myself through and then give them "MY MONEY" when I have a full cart load!!!!!!! Went to customer service and essentially stated such. LEFT ........ WENT TO "KENTS" they were more than happy to ring through my purchase.

I had an absolutely apauling experience at Home Depot Fredericton yesterday, this is very disappointing bc I am a regular customer at this store since it opened. I am posting here bc I have made several attempts to contact the store manager (Chad) that have been unsuccessful and called the 1800 # for home depot corporate with longer than 20 minutes wait so I gave up. 2 days ago I went to home depot fredericton and bought a pressure washer, I spoke to 2 employees about returning it if I got the wrong one and was told by the girl at customer service counter that it was no problem unless it was opened, then it would depend on the issue. That's fair! So I buy it knowing little about it. wWhen I did my research when I got home I researched the model and it didn't have enough pressure so I took it back yesterday to return it...and it begins!! When I waited 15 min. in the lineup to get into the store bc of covid restrictions I proceeded to the customer service desk, was told they only do returns on Saturdays and Sundays. I said I was not aware of this nor was told when I purchased the pressure washer....and a woman behind the desk steps up snaps at me and says "there are signs posted everywhere". I looked at the sign that said returns at contractors desk saturday and Sunday. I told her I had not seen the sign and frankly that sign leads me to believe your customer service desk is not open on weekends and to go to the contractors desk. She continued to argue with me then.... She says "MAYBE YOU SHOULD TAKE YOUR BUSINESS TO WALMART, THEIR RETURN POLICY IS A LOT WORSE THAN OURS"..... I was appalled and asked to speak to the store manager, she continued to be confrontational. I insisted again to speak to the store manager. At this point she said the store manager authorized your return and sent me to another desk with a young female employee who was very sweet to deal with. I went to the contractors desk after getting the pressure washer I wanted and asked to speak to the general manager, they called Chad. 25 minutes later we left the store not being able to speak with Chad. I get it, I'm not the only customer. So I called the store when i got home, the employee who answered told me Chad was on his super break and call after 6. I called around 6:30 and was told Chad was not available. So here I am. The return policy was an annoyance, as I am a first responder working 60 hr weeks in response to covid19, I had Half a day off while the stores were open so I took advantage and took the pressure washer back to get the one I wanted. The real problem was the attitude of the employee, she was ignorant and down right rude. I admit I got frustrated with them but it followed her rude comments and lashing out. I will reconsider shopping at home depot go forward, and may take her advice and go to walmart or other local stores.

tried to return a tool to the rental center. arrived right at 8 on a Saturday night and apparently that's when they close currently even though the automated message on their answering system says they close at 9. Was still able to get into the store but the guy at the rental center refused to return it and walked out of the store and jumped in his car and took off instead. Ordered an INSTOCK item online to be picked up. Was rather expensive. Over 200 bucks. Was instructed to wait 15 to 20 minutes for a follow up ail to go get item. No email. Called . Waited 25 minutes on the phone before I hung up. They charged my credit card. Didnt not recieve email until after they closed saying item was not INSTOCK and my credit card would be refunded. That was the next day when that happend. Kinda leaves bad taste in your mouth.

Our experience buying appliances at Home Depot (Fredericton) has been horrific. We purchased new appliances in August and the Fridge (Frigidaire) hasn't worked properly from Day 1. The fridge compartment freezes everything. Home Depot has absolved themselves from all responsiblity. We have lost hundreds of dollars in food. No compensation, no exchange or no return. We have been passed off to different repair services and still waiting for parts in December and have no idea when and if the parts will come in. Extremely disappointed in Home Depots part in this debacle.

Horrible experience every time. So this happened this week. Bought 5 different gallons of paint for a whole house remodel (2 wks ago), all went well until i opened one and could tell right away it wasnt mixed right- too thin, no viscosity, all pigment. I stirred and stirred, splashed a bit into a tray and gave it a try- nope, was bleeding and looking like watercolors on the wall, so I had to abandon the project, wait until after holiday Monday and first thing Tuesday I went in to the store, which is 40 km away for me, btw. I get there, stand in a return line wanting a refund, then a remake. 10min go by- total ignorance. Ok, i head over straight to the paint section where theres now 3 workers present. I tell them what happened and how I would like the paint remade. The guy tells me "all Glidden paints are thin", they don't warrant any paints per home depot policy and if im unhappy i need to contact manufacturer- I explain again how its not just think it's unusable and show him a photo taken on my phone. A few more back and forths, and i ask him if he is seriously refusing to remake the paint for me, considering everything I've said. He calls over Tracy, they talk off to the side for a bit, returns back to me with same container and says- there you go, it's all better now, 'just had to be stirred up a bit"- again I am shocked that they are seriously refusing to remake paint from scratch so I don't have to take a chance on this one when I get home. Tracy proceeds to reassure me that even if they remake it, it won't look any different and my concerns are completely irrelevant. I feel defeated, unheard, unvalued and unappreciated as a customer. Clearly nothing I say at this point will change their minds. Here's the follow up: upon getting home, paint is bubbly! (i've never seen anything like that), still too thin and won't dry properly on the wall. Thank Home Depot and the paint department, I officially cannot stand you and will be taking my business elsewhere PS my family had spend over $3000 in this store last month.

Well. My first ever visit to a Home Depot, belive it or not. Nice big parking lot. Industrial style entrance but I understood better after entering. It's a warehouse. Clean and somewhat bright. Isles felt crowed but that could be because of the height of shelving. But - it's a warehouse. I expecially appreciated being greeted by Wylie at the door. He politely asked if I needed directions to anything. I told him what I was looking for and WITHOUT hesitation said "isle 14 Sir" In a warehouse! How's that possible Bravo Wylie. Thanks to Faith on the way out...she made "my first time" a pleasure. ;-) Overall great experience.

Avoid the project team at this store. Horrible customer service. Communication is horrific. They’re unable to control vendors who mislead their customers. Delayed project by not staying on top of things. Then called backing up the vendor. Didn’t take blame for not sending PO number on time or sending critical info to the vendor. Either them or the vendor is deceitful. Either way, go to another LOCAL CANADIAN company.

Forgot one bag with an item at the cash that I paid for, I called them, talk to a manager and they said to bad I shouldn’t of forgot to pick up the bag. Then the manager hung up while I was in mid sentence. I guess he was not interested in my business, at least he should have been empathetic toward my situation, it would have taken some of the sting out of the situation, I guess Kent will fill the void for now.

Terrible quality and even worse customer service. I'd bought a beanbag chair and the seam came apart within weeks. I contacted customer service yo ask about receiving a new cover. First they sent a form letter back that didn't even answer the question. Next I called and the agent on the phone said I could not get a new cover, instead had to pack the chair into a box and send it back for a refund then make a new purchase. After that I received another email in response to my complaint about the first one, stating that I probably could get a new cover if I contacted the manufacturer directly. It's a huge hassle as well as a waste of all the materials in the body of the chair. Home Depot obviously cares nothing for their customers nor the environment. Seriously unimpressed.

Terrible customer service! After purchasing hundreds of dollars worth or Christmas lights they refused to refund or give store credit for 2 extra sets of lights we tried to return that we didn’t need. The manager at the return desk was extremely rude and inconsiderate. We had our recent proof of purchase and the lights were wound up on their original spools. The manager wouldn’t return them because we didn’t have “all” the original packaging. When we questioned the return policy explaining that we’d recycled the rest of the original packaging she became extremely rude and disrespectful, stating that the return policy was solely “at her discretion”. She then proceeded to say that “her discretion was not to help us out”. When we questioned why that was, she rudely said that it was her choice and she deemed the Christmas lights to be an electrical hazard. Unbelievable! For the entire conversation we were calm, respectful and considerate while she was unnecessarily rude, disrespectful, and inconsiderate. I will be taking all of my business for anything and everything elsewhere based on this experience. If I could give zero stars I would.

Kent is head and shoulders better service and will price match HD without hesitation on building supplies. I have spent thousands at HD and still get the hassle and runaround here. Don't even bother trying to do anything over the phone, and don't even think about an installation especially not a kitchen because you will have noone to talk to when you need something. Buy your appliances at Costco and get your garden supplies at Scott's. Avoid this wretched place if at all possible.

If you need wood cut, go elsewhere. This is not the first time this has happened, pretty much every time I've gone to get wood from here and I needed it cut, theres been nobody manning the cutting station, and when I go up to the front to have someone paged, it still takes 10-20 minutes for someone to show up, if they ever do show up. Today I waited half and hour for someone to show up and cut a bit of wood before I gave up and went home. I even heard them page someone for lumber twice while I was waiting. This continued lackluster service has shown me that my money and time can be utilized better elsewhere, and I wont be bothering with Home Depot anymore.

Ordered a brand new appliance from this store and once delivered and installed 15days later we discovered it was faulty. We brought this to their attention right away and they sent a manintence guy who told us it needed a new part. We then spoke with manager Chad who placed our request for a new appliance. It’s been over a week and we have heard nothing back. We spoke with Gloria at the store last night who told us she’d call us with an update. No one called. Just called again tonight and was on hold for 10mins and again told that someone will call us back once our case is reviewed. It’s almost as if once they have your money customer service goes out the window. Very dissapointed with how they’ve handled this and still no remedy in sight...

We went to the appliance dept and only one person working. So we had to wait for half hour. After we got our appliances ordered and paid, we got to wait for one week for the delivery. On the delivery day, no one showed up nor phone calls from home depot,driver or delivery company. Our scheduled was pushed back because the delay. We called 5 times. Finally they needed another 4 days. Why they could NOT do the same as other stores and why other stores do better than Home Depot? Therefore, no more purchase from home depot anymore. No more headaches. Lessons learned on our expenses. Even one star is overrated. (Without one star, can NOT post the comments.)

We were at Home Depot today looking at hard top gazebos, we wanted to measure it, asked a sales person for a tape measure, this person had a terrible attitude. Advised we would have to order it online and walked away. So we proceed to look at kitchen faucets, show the salesperson what we were looking for, again we were advised we would have to order online and walked away. We come home and I look at the flyer and low and behold there is a faucet like we are looking for. The service is getting worse. If your lucky enough to get a retired person who works there to fill in their time, you have it made, they are more than happy to help. They need to hire some more mature adults who really want to work.

I've never done a google review before but if it can prevent someone from being in a similar situation as I then I feel this is needed. I do not expect anyone to believe what is written because it is beyond comprehensible. But I assure you this is how it is. The past weekend I made a large purchase for my kitchen cabinets the process was great no problems at all the staff seemed awesome and pleasant, I checked out okay no worries at all. then the following Evening (Monday) I went back to purchase 3 more cabinets so I could make my kitchen island once again the process was easy as 123, but when I checked out and left thru the exit door I was almost run over, and then assaulted by the man who almost hit me, I told him multiple times to F*** off and leave me the hell alone that I have nothing to prove to you by fighting you. I then continued into my truck and drove over the the loading bay while the whole time being yelled at that I was a coward and a P***y by this very aggravated man. once again I continued the same sequence of telling him to F*** off and leave me alone, I was louder this time hoping that a manager would come to my aid and see that i was physically loading stuff with my hands whilst being assaulted and threatened. instead what I got was the general assistance manager come to this mans immediate aid with his assumptions that I was the perpetrator in this confrontation. I tried to explain to the general assistant manager and his co-worker what was going on but they refused to listen to reason and made remark about how "we should act like adults" "it's very immature to start fights here" "you're acting like a child" etc.... so I was immediately targeted based on the fact that I am a younger male 21 years of age and this man was probably mid 30s so they make the assumption I caused it all even after i tried to flee the situation. I called customer service was then told I am allowed to continue purchasing there as long as I behave which I was shocked because I did nothing and the cameras would prove I tried to evade from the man but they refused to look at them. So I needed to continue dealing with the store with my cabinets ,I went back (Wednesday to do an exchange and none the less received the wrong cabinet again it was the right size wrong color though. Then Yesterday(Thursday) I went into the store to get a refund and do a re sale of the cabinets because the supplier was having a deal that they had told me about on the day of purchase, that Thursday they were going on sale for 20% off depending on how much you spent, which I met that criteria so they told me they will refund me on Thursday and re sell them to me for 20% less of the total price of all cabinets purchased. They refunded my money after an hour of me being there which is understandable considering it takes time to organize the big order and add the small ones into it. I was patient the whole time but, the lady who took care of it refused to even acknowledge me the whole time and was very dismissive as if I was not important and not a valued customer. once the refund was processed they asked me to re-purchase it at the 20% less value which I of course agreed too because it saves me about 800 dollars! so when I tried to re purchase it to my surprise it was declined, I contacted the credit card company and asked why, they said they can see the refund pending but it will take 48 hours to process and they cannot speed it up. So I asked why they refunded all my money knowing it would not be available to me for re-purchasing as I had spent all my money on these cabinets. they continued to dismiss me even after I asked them if they can take a 1 or 2 thousand dollars now and I'll come back once the refund clears because they have all my information. they continued not to acknowledge me at all I and they held me there against my will for 2 hours approx. I had to call the police to be able to leave. In short I was Harassed, Publicly humiliated And Discriminated for my age.Alsodid not receive my 20%promised discount YOUNG HOME OWNERS DO NOT GO HERE!

I really like the home Depot. My favorite aspect compared to other places is the extremely easy returns. For example, when you lose your receipt, they swipe your card and don't give you any greif. It is easy, clean and every time I think about the hassle of returning something at a competitor chain close to my properties, especially without a receipt, I am pulled to the nearest Home Depot like there is some hidden force like magnetism or gravity. I may or may not be addicted to their Ryobi battery tools, my wife will have to rule in on that. Happy shopping and good luck with your project.
