Know Them by Their Fruits

If I could give this company 0 stars, I would. By far the most unprofessional hardware store I have ever dealt with. I have been in the construction industry for over 20 years and have never had anything bad to say before. I have talked with the manager who had a rude, condescending attitude, multiple staff as they don't own up to their mistakes and try to just point the blame at contractors, other people, etc, etc, Once they get your money, the show is over. That is all they need. Complete trash service. I will NEVER use this company for anything at all. Nothing good to say at all. Very disappointed. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY, customer service means absolutely nothing to them. You will regret it. Go to Home Depot, Kents, Home Hardware, anywhere but here.

I find the selection a bit odd with no real focus to it. The staff for the most part are friendly and helpful. Their product knowledge is acceptable ... better than HD but there is room for improvement. I tend to check Ritchie's when I can't find what I'm looking for elsewhere. Sometimes they have it ... and sometimes they don't which brings me back to my opening comment regarding their inventory. Ritchie's could be so much better than it is.

I keep coming back here because of the staff. Low prices, quality brands and big selection aren't nearly as important as the advice I've received from the staff. Mike Jones walked me through how to do a simple plumbing job and offered to give me more advice for the next half when I come in again. Meghan Hayes was super helpful in telling me what I needed for a flooring application and walked me through steps for best results. Floor looks great! Ritchies is a local gem because of their staff and I'll 100% be back.

Went in to return a $4 item. Forgot receipt at home but was driving by so thought I would ask. When I asked if I could without a receipt the reply was "did you buy these?". That is normally the process to RETURN something. Not sure if the implication was that I walked in, picked it up off the shelf and was attempting to return it. If people have done that perhaps the store should have a return desk right as you enter the store. I would have gladly came back later with the receipt. Following a disgusted look from the employee he slapped $5.35 on the counter and said "there". Last time they get a dime from me.

Service is great in every department; prices are the lowest in town in about every thing we were looking into as we were building our home. Every thing from light fixtures to drawers slides; blow in insulation , regular pink insulation . But prices aside, the friendliness, and helpful , knowledgeable staff in every department, is really what keeps us returning.

Awful website. Had to to the store to check for the prices and it's a mess, hard to figure out. Wanted to buy kitchen Cabinets. Wasted my time informing all measurements and personal data. I'm waiting for a week now to get a suggestion/proposal or even an answer. Nothing came. Decided to send the representative an email; The email returned because their hotmail account reached the size limit. t's not even a professional email. I feel like every interaction there is a waste of time. They have a friendly staff, though.

BEWARE BEWARE BREWARE !!!! This business is crap for an individual person to purchase any product from . 1st the workers they have dont know how to load flooring in your vechicle so that it doesnt drop out on your foot resulting in a broken big toe . And i asked them to hold 6 boxes of flooring for me because my mother passed away and could not get back for a week I was told no problem but that was a LIE they sold my boxes of flooring to "someone they had to make happy " was the answer i got when i asked for my flooring . Impossible to purchase wood here. There are no prices, wood is stocked in the wrong place so you're not sure what you're getting, and the counter staff can't tell the difference between the various plywoods. I was hoping to use them as my local supplier, but the hassle is not worth the time.

We always go to Richie's... We're doing a renovation and Megan in flooring is amazing to deal with she treats you like her friend. John who is in the loading section, We call him the hulk, Never seen such a strong hard worker at a hardware store before. And I don't recall the guy's name in plumbing but very helpful, tall slender guy use to have longer hair but got it all cut off and looks much better by the way. And all the guys at the desk are very helpful and very friendly faces to see when you walk in. Keep up the great work. My only disappointment was we needed to deliver our own sheetrock and that was a lot of lugging, delivery was way too busy.. there are some younger fellows working in the loading zone that could learn some lessons from John the hulk. you can tell they're not hard workers but hopefully they learn from the best.

Was not informed a major part of the order would not be available for months however the product was available at other stores. I bought a tub surround from this store that is defective. The customer service was terrible and the woman who served me recommended the wrong adhesive and said that is what everyone uses. Don't buy here without opening the box and carefully inspecting likely defective merchandise. Waste of time and money.
