We used Pella of Traverse City to replace our windows and a sliding door. The product is good but the communication and follow-up is lacking. We experienced an issue with one of our windows that needed to be replaced. In the end Pella did replace it, but it was after multiple phone calls and having to visit them in person to get them to respond to unanswered phone calls. If I had to do the project over again I would choose a different company. For the amount of money you pay, you expect better service if should you ever experience a problem.

We can’t list enough positive comments about our Pella experience with Aaron Lowe of the Traverse City office. Aaron traveled over an hour to a remote area within the Manistee National Forest to guide us on the best windows/sliding doors for our lake house. Pella offers a much wider selection of window options/sizes than it’s competitors and Aaron Lowe was extremely knowledgable of the Pella products as well construction/installation considerations. Additionally, Aaron found us a very skilled, experienced master installer who was able to replace all windows and sliding doors of the 50 year old log-sided house. After a disappointing experience with Pella’s main competitor for replacement windows, we feel we received a much better window/installation at a lower price.

We bought windows from them seven years ago. We almost bought more a few years ago, however, when we changed our mind within the 72 hour time period they allow for this, the sales person no longer responded to our calls or e-mails. I had to put a stop on our credit card to stop the charges. They also lost a wood color sample we had given them. Now we are experiencing problems with the wood slider door they installed (seven years ago). The wood is wet and there is mildew growing on it. I could not get anyone at the local office to return calls for several weeks, so I had to contact the GR location. They responded via email that the window panels should be replaced, and told me to contact sales. Multiple phone calls again, no response. I had to go into the office and was told that they would send someone to evaluate the windows, for a $150 charge. They disregarded the information sent to me by the GR office. I would definitely not use this company. They lacked professionalism, and there is absolutely no backing of their product. A seven year old window should not have mold growing on it. Buyer beware.
