This is an update to my negative review written a few months ago: This place should be shut down. I signed a contract May 31st and it is now January 27th and the work of replacing 7 basement windows is not complete. We had to threaten legal action to get someone to our house to do the job. My neighbour had the exact same situation with them. When they came to begin the work at the end of November, they refused to begin work until we paid the balance stating that this is "standard industry practice" which everyone knows is a lie. So they took the money ( we felt like we didn't have a choice but to pay them) and they still have not completed the last window. Many promises and still no one showing up. And have you noticed that all the positive reviews that have come in are in the last 2 weeks? Seems like they are suffering for satisfied customers and had to get their friends to write some positive reviews. We will be making a complaint to the Quebec Consumer Protection. My original review from October:Stay away from this company! There is something seriously wrong with how this place is run. All the negative reviews are true. We signed our contract May 31st, and now it's October 9th, and we are still waiting to have anyone come to install our windows, after two start work dates promised. The worst part is the complete lack of communication and professionalism and inability to take any responsibility for the terrible service. They cashed our deposit check the day we signed the contract and now it seems like they don't care at all when they will get around to actually get the job done.

I’ve been doing a year long renovation on my house filled with all the usual ups and downs. Dealing with this vendor has been the worst experience of the entire process. First they sold us the wrong product, secondly they would not come and install it— refused to even to book an appointment so we had our contractor go pick up the window and install it outselves. The other window/door we ordered at the same time has been now sitting in our house for over five months and they are telling us that they are “booked for the summer and can’t help us”. Buyer beware! Do not buy from this vendor. This is one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had buying anything.

I usually leave only great reviews, unless I truly feel that others need to be warned. Looking at the reviews I see a brief comments not at all consistent with my ongoing very bad experience with this business since last year for the contract they have yet to complete. Irresponsible, no shows, evasive, and so very very late are all my personal experience. The recent brief comments on Google look seriously fishy by comparison, but this is the Web. Who has windows installed in January in Canada? Try another company if you are looking for windows for your home. I will.

A very bad company. Not only did it not complete a simple application for municipal permits within three or four months, but the prepaid deposit is not refundable. It is strongly recommended not to cooperate with this company.

Avoid this dealer! Terrible experience with the installation. Pella makes proven products but they are the victim of their own dealers. A door/window is only as good as its installation: replaced a door with a buzzer with no buzzer claiming that they never install buzzers and the installed door still does not close properly unless if you slam it shut! SO after spending near 5K I still have dis-functioning door missing the buzzer on top of that. Customer service is unresponsive and slow and cancels appointments 10 min before. Go with another dealer supplier.

We ordered several windows, a door and a sliding door from Pella at the beginning of June 2019. We paid the deposit which was cashed almost as soon as I left the showroom. Our understanding was that they would be ready in approximately 8-10 weeks. We did not receive our order until the end of September. When I called to inquire, the person I spoke to was incredibly rude about the matter. As for the installation, well, suffice it to say that some of the hardware and screens were damaged. The installer told us that these would be replaced. To date, that has happened. Furthermore, the first time we used screen part of the sliding door the frame started to come apart. I would stay as far away from these guys as possible. Almost every part of the interactions with them has been unpleasant and both the product and the installation leave a lot to be desired.

I spent a small fortune on Pella windows and patio doors in order to get quality product, but their lack of professionalism from the sales associate in the Dorval office has me regretting my choice. I called customer service twice, and the local office a handful of times to discuss an issue with my order that is in production and no one is being responsive, providing solutions or providing an ounce of customer service. I’ve never been yelled at before by a sales associate but today’s shouting match was beyond disgusting as a client that has paid for my order in full already and I can only imagine I’ll be met with the same unprofessionalism and ignorance if ever I have issues with my product warranty. Worst decision ever to sign a contract with them. Go elsewhere!

They don't even deserve 1 star. Ordered a door in April and still waiting to know if I will ever get my door. Worst service and no courtesy to call back client. Will never buy or recommend this company to anyone again. I am an engineer who works in the field and will definitely spread the word to my contacts. Disastrous !!! No kidding everyone uses Marchand and Bourassa, they deserve their reputation.

More then a year ago I signed a contract with "Pella Windows & Doors" for three(3) windows fabrication and installation. The windows delivery took 4 moth longer then expected. One of the three windows has the installation defect that I'm waiting already 4 month for a fix. The window cannot be locked properly . But it's getting worst: I'm not able to pull it up to open. The company is not responsive.

My husband and I used this Company to replace some windows in our home having use them previously a number of years ago. After taking measurements, the windows took twice as long to deliver than promised and when they were delivered, one window was 3 inches too small. They left a complete mess after installation. The new window was installed a couple of months later and same problem. No clean up after installation and poor installation. No talk of apologies or possible compensation. This franchise has taken a once reputable option for windows and doors and made them an option to avoid at all costs! We'll never use them again!
