I contacted this company to quote a couple of renovation projects. About one month later I got the call back, the individual (DB) was welcoming and seemed genuinely interested in helping me. We set up a consultation time which came and went with him being a no show. Contacted me a day and a half later to 'confirm' our appointment for Another day implying I had our original appointment time wrong. I did not. He finally did show up to the newly scheduled meeting 20 minutes late without a hint of an apology. The consultation took about 45 minutes and he assured me I'd have my quote back by the following Wednesday (6 days later). I never received the quote. He contacted me to say it was a bit delayed but I would received right away. Never did. He then wrote back saying he'd re-send it, meaning I had missed it. I did not. After a few more days, I texted, called and e-mailed DB with no reply whatsoever. I understand covid has upended our lives but regardless of circumstances, have the decency to at least reply to someone you'd made a commitment too. Based on some of these reviews, I guess I'm lucky it only got this far. Agreed that many of these positive reviews are probably bull. Will never earn my business or anyone in my network.

Avoid at all costs. Hired the Moose group over a year ago and had to badger them to get started. They never return calls. Finally was to begin so we moved out. Then they demand and extra $40,000 to start due to “covid costs”. Don’t trust them. They did not do anything they promised.

These guys are professionals with a lot of knowledge! Mark was constantly accommodating us and helped a lot during our reno. Also, if you are unsure about a change or need help, they’re always there to help and offer up any advice you need

We hired moose condo to renovate our bathroom. There were a few pleasant surprises that resulted. First they took it on. moose condo reno is well established and accustomed to much bigger contracts but they welcomed us as a new client and treated us well. Also, they started and ended on time. I always hear from friends of the endless reasons contractors give for delays. t has a policy of waiting for all elements of the job to arrive before they start. That was the key. When they arrived, all the items needed arrived too. It made for a more effecient renovation. Lastly,Alexandre was the lead worker on the job. He was exceptional. He arrived on time and work diligently making progress everyday. The result was a beautiful bathroom that looks bigger than it actually is. I am a happy customer

I just want to thank all the Moose Condo Reno for my kitchen remodel . They took the time to make sure everything was properly installed paying attention to every detail no matter how small. They are awesome to deal with, friendly and showed up when they said they were going to . I would recommend them for your next renovation !!!

Really impressed by the workmanship, communication, attention to detail and to top it off finishing on time! I got a detailed quote and there were no surprises. The whole project seemed overwhelming to me, it was a full gut on a two bedroom condo. It went seamlessly. I was thoroughly impressed with everyone; from owner, to site manager to ops manager. They were very accommodating and realistic when I wanted to change something. It impressed me how knowledgeable they were and how they did everything by the book. I've added a ton of value to my condo, if I didn't love it so much I'd flip it.

Very untimely communication with this company, so I will go to find service elsewhere. Project Estimator Daniel showed up 30 mins late to our meeting for a quote, since following up with him days later he had none of my information even saved... and keeps promising to produce a final quote, it’s been several days with no quote. The company knew I needed a quick turn around on this as I’m in a damages situation with a tenant who is leaving the country. Wish I didn’t waste my time!

I hired Moose condo reno for 2 bathrooms and a kitchen and ended up doing the whole interior. The white oak floors that they suggested look beautiful with our white oak risers. Everybody that comes to our home loves the glass

Moose Group renovated our 3-piece bathroom and separate toilets. While we are very satisfied with the results, the experience would have been better if the person who first saw us and quoted the work communicated our timeline to the interior designer, and if the interior designer communicated better with the project manager. A 2-week project starting beginning of July ended being a 3-week project finishing almost mid-August. Aside some frustration and last minute change of materials to meet the deadline, our bathrooms are beautiful and we are mostly delighted by the final results.

We purchased a 2200 square foot condo in March, 2021 and it required an almost complete renovation before we could move into it in July, 2021. I contacted Moose as soon as we made the offer and was very pleased to hear back from Steve almost immediately. Steve made himself available to us very quickly and came with us and our realtor to look at the condo to help us decide how best to renovate it. He took his time walking through with us and made many excellent suggestions as to how to proceed including the suggestion of a glass wall to enclose an unusual open space from living room to office. Shortly after, he prepared an estimate and we agreed to move forward. We took possession of the condo on May 3, 2021 and on May 4th the team started the demolition. It was unclear if permission would be granted due to the lockdown but I was able to get the permission. Moose then started ASAP. They did the work with connecting with the property manager and getting the board approval for the work. They also did the work of confirming that the materials we chose for flooring met the condo standards for sound proofing. They were diligent in informing our neighbours (through the property manager) when they were doing noisy demolition work and took care to stay within the rules of hours for renovation work. The work we did included: 1) complete demolition of the old kitchen and rebuild a new kitchen with design changes 2) complete demolition of the powder room and a rebuild of that room 3) Removal of two vanities and plumbing fixtures in the other two bathrooms 2) Remove all flooring (except two bathroom floors) and replace with new flooring 3) Remove and replace all light fixtures 4) Remove and replace all plumbing fixtures with the exception of the main shower and refurbish the main shower. 5) Remove an unusual brick feature wall, drywall it and install new electrical receptacles 6) Remove the doors to the laundry area, re-frame it and put in sliding doors 7) Put in a new 10 mm glass wall to close an unusual open space into the office 8) Remove and install all hardware on doors 9) Paint everything throughout. We were able to move in at the beginning of July as agreed. In all, we were very happy with the experience. Steve was responsive, the estimate was clear and the project finished within the budgeted parameters. We were offered some changes as we progressed through the project and we accepted some and declined others and that was an acceptable process. We were assigned Mo as our project manager, He was extremely responsive. We shared phone numbers and communicated regularly through text. We also utilized the Buildertrend app and were able to keep track of the project through that. We did have a few glitches. They were generally related to COVID and supply chain issues. We were promised the help of a designer. Unfortunately, she became unable to assist and in the interests of keeping the project on time, we made the choices ourselves. As well, many of the stores were in lockdown and we had to make choices by going to the stores and getting samples ourselves. The flooring choice was hard because our first five choices had supply chain issues and the backsplash tile also had supply chain issues. However, we were able to make alternate choices and the end result is lovely. The floor installer spent one day installing the floor and then had a family emergency. This was a critical pathway and threatened to derail the timeline. However, Mo was able to find a new installer and got the project back on track within a few days. We moved in July and Moose had arranged for the condo to be cleaned. It was pristine and really a treat to have that done. There were several unfinished pieces including the vanities (supply chain issues), the lights (supply chain issues) and the glass wall which did take the installer 4 visits to finish. Everything is now lovely and we had one call back for a tiny issue which as been quickly resolved. We are pleased to recommend this company for a condo renovation.

Moose Group did an excellent job on my condo renovation, which involved a full kitchen, new ceiling and pot lights in the living room, plus all floors replaced and all walls repainted (including removal of wallpaper). The work progressed pretty much on schedule, despite covid supply chain issues and the occasional glitch of a subcontractor not showing up when promised. The project manager Nick was very engaged in communicating to me from start to finish about the progress of the work and he conscientiously followed up on every concern I raised as the reno proceeded. The finished work was good quality. I'm a satisfied client of Moose Group.

I have used Moose Renovations on several occasions and am extremely satisfied with their guidance and work. Always responsive even years after Reno’s are completed. I really appreciate both Steve and Mark and highly recommend them. Maria Forlini

This is a story about twin sisters who built kitchen and breakfast room additions (with full height basements) onto identical houses built two houses apart. The build took place in 2020 – 2021, during the Covid -19 Pandemic and the lockdowns which resulted from this pandemic. Moose Group Ltd. was our contractor. The build was difficult, it required the extension of part of the first storey of a two storey house times two. We continued to reside in the residences during the construction. Due to the pandemic, it also involved keeping the occupants safe and well separated from the workers. We would like to thank Moose Group Ltd. for stepping-up to the job. To the Moose Group Team, thank you for your many, many hours of work. To Alex Kretov, the manager of our building sites and co-owner of the company, we would like to say, “Many, many thanks!” Through the frustrations of rising prices, lack of construction materials, and hours spent to pick-up simple items (which would have taken very little time if not for the pandemic curbside pick-ups and line-ups) you persevered, and we have beautiful kitchen and breakfast areas as a result. Thank you also for your good sense of humour, being able to laugh together is a good thing. It was a pleasure working with Daniel Borok on the planning and contract writing. He was our constant go to person (throughout the entire build). Daniel has a great sense of responsibility, a wonderful work ethic, knowledge in his field of work and a very pleasant personality. Dmytro Zemnytskyi is a wonderful, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and extremely hardworking electrician who beautifully brought light and “power” to all places where they were needed. Our heartfelt thanks to you. To Daniil Kretov and Paul, thank you so very much for your hard work in the heat of summer and the cold of winter. We have once again fallen in love with our homes thanks to the “picture perfect” kitchen/breakfast area additions built by Moose Group Ltd. With grateful hearts, The Twins

Please, everyone who reads here should judge carefully. The original schedule was never followed and the deadline continued to be postponed. It unilaterally took twice as long as the initial schedule without any particular explanation or apology, and it was not completed nonetheless. Never trust the schedule the Moose Group is talking about. If you believe that and make and implement your schedule, you will be in great danger. Not only the schedule but also the initial designs were not kept, and communication between Moose Group employees was not smooth. Most of the promises were not kept and caused extreme stress throughout the project. The level of completion of renovation is also very low. You can't even have a basic life.

I highly encourage everyone to stay far away from Moose Group. A promised 2-month renovation job turned into 6-month nightmare. Trades would not show up. When inquiring about the status of work, in the rare chance you can get the Moose Group team to reply, they would promise to send a schedule, re-book trades, or update their BuilderTrend app which tracks the renovation progress – which right up until the end of the project I never received a schedule that was kept. There was lack of quality in the finished renovation and poor workmanship causing multiple items to be redone. Some of the more egregious moments was when they left a bucket filled with paint water overflowing on the newly installed floors, and not measuring properly for placement of electrical switches and cutting into the door trim to place switches as opposed to moving the electrical. They left gaps in the flooring so they are visible at the trim. The painter hardly protected anything so I am still cleaning up paint blotches everywhere. I could go on and on. It was only with a mention of litigation Moose Group finalized the project as best they could do and I could tolerate. There still are repairs like the poorly installed pocket door will need to be rectified as they were unable to fix their poor install job. I did my homework and checked references prior to signing a contract. I have come to doubt the integrity or validity of their references. I feel stupid for ever signing a contract with the Moose Group. I see the other bad reviews under their various names - Moose Basements and Moose Condos - and their denials that those poor reviews are from clients. Those negative reviews are more in line with my experience. Take your money elsewhere and protect your property from these sub-par “contractors” if they can even call themselves that.
