Definitely an enjoyable atmosphere for Kitimat. They have a decent selection of beer. I was a bit disappointed that they do not serve local beer but perhaps that's because they are a franchise establishment. The food is good and there is a wide selection. Pretty typical for a chain style restaurant. The staff were friendly and gave some good local recommendations.

Finally a Restraunt that can cook a perfect Steak! I stayed in kitimat for 5 days after eating at Mr Mikes the second night i went back every night of my stay. The 16oz Rib eye is so good im hooked, definately will make a special trip up again just for this place! Great staff Greay service!

Food was great, host was great, service was lacking... possible to be a 4 star review, but... server took a while to even come to our table, it was another hostess who took our drink order. I'm not sure I felt welcome by the server, like it was a burden to serve us. Our server had passed by our table and asked how our food was a couple times, decent, no issue there, but when asked for the bill we waited a good 15 minutes before getting up to ask for the bill again. Food was great, we had 2 appys, 3 steaks, and 1 China town stir-fry, all food came out as ordered, I even asked the host to pass on the compliments to the cooks. Overall it was a great meal.

Our most recent dining experience at Mr. Mikes is what made me decide to review it, specifically the chicken wings. I will eat basically anything other than steaming excrement and be perfectly happy, so for restaurant food to rile me up enough to post a review on the internet it has to be pretty bad. Tonight the wings were not only slimy inside and luke-warm, they were insultingly small and bony, like the bones of a cat or a quail. One piece was approximately 3/4" long and consisted of bone, cartilage and skin, with no meat. All of the wings had a watery inside-of-the-freezer taste, I suspect they had been removed from the fryer a little too soon. More than half of the middle wing pieces (the best ones!) had the little bones smashed or broken, so that small pieces of bone would be guaranteed to make it into your mouth on almost every bite. Overall it was not the worst chicken wing experience I've had in my life, but it was far from the best. With the limited choices of restaurants in Kitimat I can't say that we won't be back, but I will seriously consider going elsewhere before returning to Mr. Mikes.

Good food, lots of options on the menu. Obviously lots of steak options but not just steak. I asked for medium rare and it really was medium rare (I find steak is sometimes more cooked in restaurants) so I was pleased. Service was good and prompt. Lots of parking in large shared lot.

The food was good but the service was not. Our server was very slow, only showed up to drop food off, never offered to refill drinks and left most of the dirty dishes on the table as more food was arriving. Could be due to staffing shortages but we saw our server floating around so I think she just wasn’t paying attention. It is nice to have a decent restaurant to go to when visiting Kitimat but I hope you’re not in a rush. August 2021 EDIT: Came here again a few days ago and the food was great with excellent service! Not sure which experience is more representative but I’ve bumped my rating up to 4 stars.

Ordered a well done steak because that's how I like it. What I recieved was far from well done. For a steak house that's pretty disappointing when they can't cook a steak remotely well done. Ordered it to go and was already at the hotel by the time I realized. This wasn't even close, but good try ???? Edit: They sent me $50 gift card to make up for the issue.

Take Out - Food was ok, gravy was way too expensive for half a small container. $6 for half a container (1/2 cup barely) of gravy. I was offered gravy I said yes, if I would have known before I got back home it was going to be this crazy I would have said no. Otherwise, not a huge deal but both orders were incorrect with having the incorrect toppings. I would not advise take out. Eating in is fantastic. Take out not so much.

Hit all the expectations of a Mr mikes. Our waitress was fast and friendly, I stepped out for a phone call and she put my food in the warming station without being asked. When I came back she brought my food to me and checked that I was still OK with the food or if it needed to be replaced . I wish I had her name she was a great server !

GREAT food, great atmosphere and great service. Love their panko shrimp tacos, garden veggie burger, panko shrimps in the appetizers menu, lodge chips, yam fries, and the tomato bruschetta. We loved playing scrabble and chess there, as the restaurant lets you borrow certain games. Would highly recommend.

Took some work folks a few days ago and katlyn provided us with excellent service. Really good to see management on the floor making sure everything was going smoothly and customers were happy. I can tell you,it was great! It was pretty busy and did wait a bit while before I get my soup and pasta,but it was absolutely worth it. The soup was good loaded with beef etc etc and the portion pasta was as well enough. The bartender apologized about the waiting time and gave me some discount. And I can tell you,I don’t write this review that I get discount,I write this because it was quality food and good atmosphere. And the temperature inside the restaurant was good,because most of the time is in the average restaurant the temperature to cold,especially in the summer.

Went here 3 nights in a row working in town. Sat in the bar side each night. Tuesday and Wednesday the staff were great And on the ball. Thursday night, different staff. I was ignored for 15 min at the front door. ( it’s a pandemic I was patient and understanding) The staff sat me in the bar and then I ordered and beer and an appy. The appy came burnt. And I was ignored the next hour. Finally I sat the empty beer glass at the end of the table and coughed loudly. It was another 20 min. Before I was asked if I needed anything. At this point I was one of 2 tables in a 5 table bar side. I ordered dinner and another beer. Food was dropped and I was left alone till I asked for the bill. I still tip cause I was served well just disappointed I was left waiting so long each time. ( 1st world problems). I’m giving a high score to the Tuesday Wednesday staff cause they deserve it but had to mention the rest.

Visiting family up in KITIMAT. Had the "classic mikeburger" as take out. Burger was good, not great but I wouldn't complain... right up I had to pull the 4-6 inch dark hair out of my mouth that was in the burger. VERY disappointed to have that happen.

Everytime I have eaten at Mr Mike's Kitimat has always been nothing but the best in food and service. Mr. Mike's has had quite a time getting help I understand due to all the construction going on at Rio Tinto. Put your self in the waiter/waitress shoes and perhaps if it's the first time working at a job, be more understanding. It all comes down to owner training and experience. Two of my concerns: #1 - someone changing baby diapers on the table. #2 - the mess of cartons and boxes at the back of kitchen and people smoking at the back door

Good place to go for dinner in Kitimat. Service was fast and friendly, food was good cocktails were good and reasonably priced and the atmosphere was nice. The only negative was that while the steak I ordered was cooked exactly way I wanted it, it was extremely chewy.

Went out to dinner with a friend everyone was very kind. The only problem was the male supervisor. We could see he was very friendly to every other table but our own. A drink had been made wrong(without the coconut rum) it was very obvious you could even see by looking at it. I had told them it was made wrong and he said that they are out of coconut rum (which I asked another server about and they said that they are not and could see the bartender using it) he was very rude about it and only offered to get us another drink or we can pay for the one that was made incorrectly without being made properly. There was no effort on his end to get the drink made correctly.

Excellent service. The server and manager wanted to help out, even offered to buy me a beer because I mentioned the lousy food. Steaks are terrible and the price is a joke (not funny though) Very expensive. Ordered medium rare got medium. Little to no seasoning. The steak is tiny. Got me once, won't be back.

Had dinner here on New Years Day and what a wonderful treat it was !! The service staff were attentive and prompt with our meals . My steak was perfectly cooked medium rare !! The best steak I have ever had, anywhere. The garlic mashed potatoes were over the top garlicky and the green beans were perfectly tender crisp and fresh. Definitely going back !!

I always thought mr mikes was great since they opened, especially the bar staff, my favourite thing to order is the steak n Thai, it was always made perfect, I hadn't been there in so long I was excited for my food, when I got it, the vegetables weren't cooked and the steak was burnt, so I sent it back in hopes to get what I asked for, they offered to cook up another plate but when I got it back again, the sauce was so watery, and it was filled so much it was almost steak n Thai soup. On the other hand, bar staff was great.

Mediocre sports bar. Burgers are frozen patties on a stale bun with sparse generic toppings. The only option for included sides was soggy kettle-style chips, stuck together back into the potato from whence they came. Wings were soggy but decent once smothered in blue cheese dressing... but I could have eaten the napkin covered in hot sauce and blue cheese dressing.. I would rather nail my *self* to a table than eat here again.
