After living in our home for 28 years we decided we needed a kitchen/bathroom reno. We talked to Bela at the Home and Garden show and right then and there realized she was someone we could work with and that Gateway was the company for us. We loved the fact that all the trades would be looked after, that we had a schedule of all the workers and when they would be at the house, and that the whole job would be done in less than 6 weeks! Bela was a dream to work with. She realized quickly what we wanted , what our budget was and never tried to sell us on anything we weren't interested in. She even had a few budget cutting ideas! Dale, our contractor was absolutely wonderful and a great problem solver ( not that there were many problems). All the trades, - Victor, the tiler, Mark, the painter, the guys from Balcaen and Electric 2000 and Dorothy, our scheduler, did a great job and were nice to boot. We'd heard horror stories about kitchen renovations but ours went smoothly and quickly and the results are fabulous. We are so happy and will recommend Gateway to all our friends and family. We walked in impromptu once excited to spend money on renovations. We were told that a scheduled appt was going to arrive, and they wouldn't help us due to this. Uuuhhh, help UNTIL your appt arrives!!! The appt showed up, and both parties proceeded to pretend like we were worthless scum, butting in front of us numerous times in different locations. I wouldn't recommend providing these people with your business. They will not provide you your monies worth.

We were happy with Gateway from start to finish. Our designer took the reigns and handled every detail of our renovation with professionalism and ease, leaving nothing but the fun parts for us (colours, tile, etc.). Before the project started, they estimated that our kitchen project would take about 6 weeks to complete and they were bang on. We are left with a beautiful custom kitchen that we are so happy with! Would definitely hire them again.

What a great place to go when thinking of renovating your kitchen or bathroom. This is our second time going to Gateway as they remodelled our kitchen. It is still a current design after 17 years and love cooking in it! This time, we renovated our shower in the bath off the master bedroom. Our designer, Theresa Guderian, was fabulous with great ideas and always checking in on the progress...seeing it through with such good support from her and the staff! Our new bathroom shower is off the charts with design and quality!!Love it!

Being constant and ongoing home updaters, we decided it was time for a kitchen facelift this winter with the temperatures driving us indoors. Our tastes and attention to details have always steered us away from contractors ands tradesmen as we are disappointed nearly every time. With hesitation we made some calls and met with who we felt the most personable. Every step of the process, as well as options, ideas, build times, and updates, were communicated to us in a timely and professional manner that allowed us to feel relaxed and taken care of. We wanted to install a small bar and beverage area as part of a larger project to finish our basement. We went in May once the basement plan was finalized to pick everything out so the cabinets would be ready shortly after the basement was finished. They have not met one deadline. Told us a couple of weeks for the quote. We did not get it until well into August. Gave us an estimated install date of end of October or first week of November. We made the payment immediately to lock in that date and responded to all questions within a date. Our install date is mid-December. They keep pushing it back. Our contractor has been in the business for 40 years and never seen cabinets take so long. He is stuck with an open permit that he can't close. It has been the worst service imaginable.

We purchased a gateway kitchen now about 4 years ago. It is hard to believe how time flys when you have such s nice kitchen. My wife and I were just talking the other day again how great the whole experience was. Working with the staff from the design stage to the finishing touches at the end. I really liked how organized they were with the customer getting a printed schedule on what was happening every day. I have also been an employee with them for about 28 years. It is a really great family run business. I would definitely recommend Gateway Kitchen to anyone.

Eve has been our designer for a couple projects, the process was seamless and we loved how she integrated our personal style into the design we envisioned. She worked closely with Alice to select the best counter at the best price and was able to make modifications to our kitchen to give it a fresh new look and improve the workspace.. After a short period of time, a tradesman arrived and fitted a counter perfectly into our kitchen. The company kept us informed throughout the process. Scam Artists. Make sure you don't let any elderly you know of work with Gateway. They will be happy to take advantage of you and empty out a wallet. They have done it to my grandma and many of their friends. They seem like the are the nicest people but wouldn't you be if you were scamming people 40-50 thousand on a 1950 700 sq ft house with a tiny basic kitchen. Plus if there is any errors they throw their hands up and won`t even give the time of day to come look and help. Terrible CUSTOMER SERVICE

We've lived with our renovated kitchen for almost 1 year now and we are very satisfied with Jim and Art and the others at Gateway. Our multi-discipline, medium-sized renovation job ended up on-time and on-budget, which was great. As expected, we encountered some minor issues, but they were dealt with quickly and easily. There are a few very minor things that I would have preferred to have been done differently, but there are also a number of other things that Gateway was able to do for us that we are very happy about. For example, they sourced particular glides and glass and made a few fabrication changes that were important to us. In particular, we had a few cabinets fabricated and delivered as one large piece with a continuous face frame instead of separate smaller boxes that get joined on-site. This gives a cleaner, more furniture-like appearance. It is harder for the installer to handle the large cabinets and is more difficult to manufacture and deliver, but in the end we really appreciated the effort. In the kitchen there isn't a single 'filler' strip and there are no extra joints showing anywhere. Overall, we're quite happy with the end result and would not hesitate to chose Gateway again.

I had unexpected water damage in my kitchen and Gateway was very quick to get out to my home and meet and exceed my expectations. We chose Gateway Kitchen and Bath to renovate our 1970's closed concept kitchen and could not be happier with our decision. Removing 2 walls led to a complete renovation on almost the entire main floor of our home, and the transformation has been amazing. In our experience, Gateway delivered on every single aspect they promised. They provide a detailed day-by-day schedule so every step of the way we knew exactly what to expect. This was a fairly extensive project, and the only delays were due to an aspect of the project we used a different company for, Gateway to their credit rescheduled their trades to accommodate this unforeseen delay. The entire team at Gateway was unbelievable and we would not hesitate to recommend them for any kitchen or bath project (and we have recommended them). Our designer, Lori was a pleasure to work with and made a potentially stressful kitchen renovation so much easier to deal with. Shout out to Mitch (installer), Dorothy (scheduler) and the entire team for setting the bar. They aren't the cheapest, but their thorough estimates reduce the likelihood of surprises, and if you want a company that does what they say they will, and sticks to a schedule then Gateway will not disappoint. Highly recommended!!

We wanted to avoid the headaches associated with acting as our own primary contractor. We went to Gateway because we wanted someone to take our idea for a new kitchen, help us flesh it out, then execute the whole project from beginning to end. That is exactly what they did for us. Our designer Jim Mitchell helped us come up with the design we wanted and acted as the prime contractor, and our scheduler Alexis Barnes coordinated procurement of all the material with the contractors' schedules. There were very few hitches but every time any issue arose, Jim responded extremely promptly with a viable solution. We are absolutely delighted with the result of the kitchen project and would not hesitate to use Gateway again for a future renovation.

From the minute we walked into the Gateway showroom on Scurfield, we knew we were in great hands. Bela was wonderful to deal with! We were only having a shower tiled, but we were never made to feel our job wasn't important. Bela had great advice with the selection of tile. She was very knowledgeable and was able to draw on her experience to answer all of our questions. Emails were always promptly responded to. Viktor and Austin did an amazing job tiling and having Walter come by to make sure things were running smoothly was great service. Would highly recommend them.

A family member gave them a large deposit and their project hasn’t started yet. It was booked over a year ago. Now they sent a note saying The start date was delayed again yet still want another payment before the project even begins. Ridiculous!
