We knew we needed a design/build firm for our complete kitchen remodel in Summer 2021. We have a 70+ year old home and had never done major work before. This was not just some cabinet refacing! The CASE design team listened to our needs and helped us prioritize them and put together amazing options to choose from that fit our budget. The office is welcoming and we always felt valued and in control during the contract process. The project started on time and was completed when they said it would be. We lived in the home during the renos (and were working from home!) and were really impressed with the professional team. The plans were well documented and communicated to all tradespeople, we had a project manager ensuring people were on site when they were supposed to be and let us know when not to expect anyone. The owner also checked in to make sure the project was going smoothly. The job site was kept clean, taking away debris immediately and protecting the rest of the house (which is so important when you need to remain in the home!). We were basically never needed for anything once the plans were finalized, which gave us peace of mind to focus on our work and family. We really feel that we saved ourselves a ton of aggravation by choosing a full-service renovation company; just about everyone involved in the project, which the exception of a couple of subcontractors, is employed by CASE and is therefore accountable to each other to make sure the work is done right. The agreed design mockup looks exactly like our finished product and we would absolutely hire them again. Thank you CASE team!

Quoted nearly double my stated budget. Their design could have been done with my kids crayons. There were too many red flags and we backed out. They kept $2000. They only returned some money in exchange for never saying anything negative.

$40,000 for 8x10 bathroom We got a quote from case to finish our 8x10 stripped to studs bathroom with new floor already done and new gyprock already purchased. The plumbing would not have had to be altered in any way and only 4 electrical fixtures would need to be moved or upgraded. We were told this is quite normal and considered a big job. The rep was quite unprofessional and asked our budget right away (you get quotes to decide a budget, pulling budgets out of thin air is insane), did not take measurements or details on the project and made up a list of why Case Design costs more than everyone and never negotiates cost or pricing. I'm not sure why we were chosen for this joke of a quote but this was a waste of time for everyone. Could we spend $40k on the bathroom? Sure, but it's simply not what it costs so there is no reason to come up with that number. We tried to get quotes on two other projects and had to eventually concede that this was going nowhere and send the rep home. I'm sure someone in the company has done good work judging by other reviews, too bad we won't get to see how it would have turned out.

If you feel like paying double (or more) for your project then use this company. I don't know if they do good work and I will never know because their quotes were so high that we had to exclude them from competing for our business. I had them quote me on 3 different projects and their quotes were more than double the other quotes I got. I used other companies for my 3 projects and they did great work for less than half the price. The guy I spoke to was nice, but they wasted my time. Shop around people.

Entered into a fixed price agreement to replace a number of decks, siding, stone work and painting on a multi-residential building. The job went south right from the beginning, with multiple delays, poor workmanship and fraudulent sub-trades. Then, six weeks into the job, CASE representatives "discovered" rot on decking supports and demanded payment of extras. The decks were always visible to them and they had ample opportunity to "discover" and discuss the extras long before they did. CASE either missed the rot in the initial survey of the site, or they knew about it and waited for the opportunity to charge for the extra work and materials. DON'T DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!!

We just completed a total renovation of our master bath . My must haves were pretty challenging even for an experienced team. From design to execution everything was flawless and exactly as I wanted it . They always made sure I was happy with the results and in one instance when it was not, they changed it immediately- this was not due to a design or execution issue but my own preference. The attention to detail both in the design, pre planning and execution was remarkable. The trades essential to the success of the project were artist no less , the project manager ever attentive and responsive to our requests, it is not done until it is to our complete satisfaction . This was not our first renovation but it was by far the one we are most satisfied with the results. I wanted a stunning water room with a very functional dressing room. They have delivered !

We had a full floor kitchen/dining/living room remodel. Right from the time of meeting with the designer through to addressing minor follow up items the team at CASE are excellent. We chose CASE initially because of the design - Tiffany listened to us and used her expertise to give us excellent options to chose from. Once we decided on a final plan - the Delivery team and Project Manager swung into action - keeping us in the loop and communicating frequently and when needed about all aspects of the build portion. The quality of the workmanship, foresight of design and consultation with us throughout the process are world class. I highly recommend CASE and their team. the back office support, administration, project management, trades, design and everyone else - they are the best.

We hired Case in 2016 to remodel our kitchen, our experience was absolutely awful and very expensive. From 2016-2018 we were in contact about resolving the "deficiencies" in their work and quality of materials that were used. Using Case to do our renovation was terrible and stressful, both our home and ourselves were disrespected on many occasion. I still think about those two years and how horrible and enraging dealing with them was.

We had a bathroom reno done through CASE over 2 years ago. Then recently discovered an issue with the toilet; it had a hairline crack that over time got worse causing a leak. It damaged a baseboard and we had a cracked tile as well from existing uneven floors (our home is 100 years old). I called CASE and they sent someone no questions asked. Once a plumber replaced the toilet with another brand new model, Aaron from CASE fixed the tile and baseboard and also repaired another minor issue we had with plastering damaged ceiling. Aaron did a great job with repairs, he was professional and knowledgeable. CASE showed us excellent customer service and follow up care. It’s not only important to get a good reno but also if a repair is needed, it’s good to know you can get help when you need it. CASE stands by their work which is awesome!

We do not recommend Case. We hired Case to renovate our home in the Spring of 2018. Case's business model requires a series of non-refundable deposits, all required to move the process forward. Our experience with Case included: • A non-transparent materials selection process, both as it relates to the sourcing of the materials themselves and regarding their pricing • Major delays in obtaining building permits due to Case’s delays in submitting information to the city, with no transparency or communication on this issue until we finally cancelled our contract • The loss of our original project manager and unclear communication as to the transition to a new project manager • Misrepresentations regarding project timelines We lost all confidence and fired Case in the Fall of 2018. No work had even been started on our home. Case refused to return our deposits.

We contracted Case Design for a kitchen and basement renovation. We wanted a company who could handle everything and deliver a quality product on schedule. We lived on site during the renovation as the bedrooms, bathrooms and living room were mostly unaffected by the work. It should be noted that we have communicated all items in this review to the owners a couple of months ago and have been told they are making steps to improve based on my feedback (We did notice an improvement in cleanliness during the final stages), which we appreciate, but we still feel like our experience should be brought to light. We are satisfied with the final product but the process and duration was awful. WHAT WE LIKED Provide good designs and renderings so you can visualize the space before work begins. We liked that there were multiple options to choose from. One stop shop for design, planning and construction. You will know the total cost of the job before work begins (besides any extras that come up during construction). Completed the job and fixed any damaged items we requested them to fix and did not charge us for every little thing. Finished product is close to renders and materials used are good quality. Work is backed by 2 year warranty. WHAT WE DIDN’T LIKE Sometimes lacked pride in workmanship and quality control. Several things had to be redone (mostly only at our request) because they were sloppy instead of being done properly the first time. Having to meet several times on site before project began so contractors could estimate, many times only one of the contractors would actually show up. Communication: We had three different project managers, it was a pain having to communicate the same things multiple times. Also communication was sparse on the construction side of things and didn’t really change no matter which project manager we had. Also they will not tell you any pricing and just give overall job cost. The change orders are often combined with other items to make it hard to tell if pricing is fair or what you are actually paying for. More transparency would be nice. Initial estimate at time of first consult was much lower than what the preliminary numbers came in at. By this time you have already paid them $1k-$2k for initial planning which makes it difficult to back out. Timeliness: Over promised and under delivered on almost all construction deadlines. Construction stage took nearly 30 weeks to complete (from beginning of demo to final payment), contract was 10-12 weeks. There were a few minor delays but nothing huge to cause such a delay. We were initially told work would be completed in the fall, then by Christmas and then by the end of March. Overall time from initial consult (July 2017) to completion (August 2018) was over a year. We went away for 2 weeks during the project and were guaranteed by the project managers that pretty much everything would be done except the custom cabinets. Three months later we still had no custom cabinets and there were still other items on the list. We asked for an estimated completion date basically since the start of the project and none was ever provided. Cleanliness: From the start we had asked that the work areas be kept reasonably clean as we have two small children and a dog. Most days there was always a mess to clean up, usually stuff that could have easily been swept/picked up. Our garage was taken over without asking and used it as a garbage dump and place to cut wood etc. This would have been fine, except they didn’t cover the items we were storing in there (this is where we placed furniture etc. while work was being done) and they didn’t clean up when they were done resulting in dust over everything and me having to spend several hours cleaning up. The only time it would get cleaned up is when I requested it to be. Did not cover appliances that were to be reused before starting demolition resulting in them becoming filthy with dust and dirt. They did end up protecting them but did not clean them off before wrapping them.

This company is terrible and unprofessional I reached out to them for a home Reno project And was very organized in what I was looking for. Right away I got a response from heather and and they planner Tiffany who seemed super motivated a few days later I got a bunch of mumbo jumbo emails about their process, what they offer you blah blah blah it was like an overloaded promo welcome pamphlet it felt like spam. The reason I complain is because that was back in the beginning of April and it’s now June 9th. I called back to follow up And sent them my plans and scope of work...... we’ll it would seem as though this company just fell off the face of the earth because I am still waiting to hear back from them. All talk and no action I am super super happy that I opted NOT TO WORK WITH THEM and found another company i met at the home show. I won’t share the name because I don’t want this to look bias. This company started the work on May 23 and it’s been a dream com true I get progress pictures daily through their builder trend app and my house is virtually spotless other than dust. Don’t let these people at case design waste your time. The proof is in the pudding.

Questionable accounting practices and false statements. Terrible experience . Be very alert when asked for your signature. The design process was disorganized and chaotic. Important information was never divulged. They have products from their own company "CASE" and took every opportunity subsituting those over my choices. Although initially refused, it was only after I stated that having no other choice, I would be making this a police matter, my deposit was returned.
