Midsize store with a decent amount of stock. Not a store I normally go to, as I don't live in the area but I do have to say I was impressed with the amount of staff that was on the floor when I was there one evening

I only gave it one star just to share my experience. The checkout line weaved through the aisles and almost ( no exaggeration) to the back of the store. This is ridiculous to have to wait 20-30 just to checkout. I made no purchase.

Mid sized Walmart, not as big as ones in the metro area but much larger than the Grand Falls location. Only Supercentre in the province outside the metro area. Different layout from metro area Walmarts but carries much of the same product. Lines do, however, become more congested when the store is busy due to fewer checkouts than a standard Supercentre you would find elsewhere. Overall, small town Walmart with big city product selection.

This store in gander needs new management. Every manager and worker treats everyone that walks into that store like a criminal. New store is wicked and lots of items and very cheap. However, like I said needs to be wiped clean of the current managers and most workers. Don’t work in a public environment if you are going to be rude to everyone.

Store layout and cleanliness was fine from what I could tell. Reason for my rating was the clearly untrained cashier. We had to wait 10 minutes for him to figure out how to use one single coupon for the customer in front of us. He first wrote "Done" on the coupon and passed it back to the customer, who then said "oh no you need to keep that!" so he put it in the trash can. The customer then said "no my love, that goes in the bottom drawer. You need to KEEP it!" so he put it in a drawer. Typical Walmart not training their employees properly.

It was my 1st time going to Walmart since The covid 19 virus started. It was not too bad. In and out in 40 minutes. I did not like that some aisles had arrow and some did not especially in the pharmacy beauty area.

Shopping with walmart was the worst experience i have ever encountered. I recently moved from Vancouver to gander so i have to be in 14 day isolation. I placed the order for pickup at walmart and they mess up my whole order. They miss lots of items and when i called them. They didn’t gave me refund. They have very poor management and don’t know how to handle the customer complaints.

Photo Center is a HUGE scam. We sent nan to Wal-Mart for passport photos - trusting the cost would be reasonable. The clerk pushed nan into getting a useless vinyl photo holder and insisted it was required or else photos would be ruined. Photos + useless vinyl holder = $31. Highway robbery.

Gander NL location is the worst in Canada in my experience. Disorganized. Empty selves constantly throughout the entire store. Very poor management

Gander oriented. Honest opinion is 5 stars for prices and sales , but in regards to management of various sources wouldn't even give it one star ! Management of various sources treat their own staff and the cleaners that work there very rude , disrespectful , and ignorant. I don't care how long they've been working there but in all professionalism if a different person were running and or hiring , they and/or myself wouldn't have them there very long. Walking around complaining about everything even if there is nothing to complain about. Management complaining to customers about the cleaners and staff poisoning their minds and giving the place a negative and degrading moral for staff and customers , giving them an unwanted to go or be there. No doubt in my mind there has been a loss of revenue in the Gander location because of it and there's lots of backup to support all the above. Should have personality tests for hiring , including existing ones there. Workplace abuse has and is an ongoing occurance at that location regarding overnight and daytime staff and cleaners as said above.

The only reason this is getting 3 stars is cause you hire a lot of people that really needs work. Other than that I've never seen managers ignore their workers so badly in my life. And this new wireless section in the back has an absolute jerk of a person working there. Constantly bragging about himself. Disappointing. Never really liked walmarts, but I've seen better.
