We have spent thousands of dollars here over the years and we have had a lot of different problems with them like taking 2 days to prepare a one item online order where they can just grab it off the shelf and go that item was a air pump for our flat tire something pretty vital that we can’t wait two days to get and we tried to call them but it turns out they are not answering their phones anymore so there is no way to get essential items fast from them all these problems were just today aswell

Long time customer of the store, purchased a kids bike and the bearings in the pedal mechanism fell out. Bike is 3.5 months old. I didn't have my receipt and was told that they can't warranty it. I asked if they can look up the receipt in their system, I was told they couldn't. I asked if they could look it us using the rewards system, they said no. I left with the bike, instead of paying to have the bike repaired I went to wal-mart and purchased a new bike for my 5 year old. Decided to call corporate customer relations for Canadian Tire and ask the same questions and was told different answers. They said that the receipts can be looked up if I had paid debit, credit and or used rewards within 12 months which I did. Called back to the local Canadian Tire and they do some backtracking saying that it was just the individual store policy to look up the receipts or not. They then asked if I wanted the bike repaired and I said no, refund or store credit, they said no. Bike was not needed after buying a new one elsewhere. It only takes the one bad service experience to loose a customer.

When u order sometime online and pay for it already you would think it would be a quicker experience when to get to the store to pick up your item, but with Canadian Tire that is NOT the case, and this wasn't the first time either, there should ALWAYS be someone at the back counter to help wit the online orders, because that is the way of the world now (ordering online) and it should be am easier experience then it actually is.

If I can, I should give them Zero rate!!! My engine light was on and shew Misfire. They charged me 2 hours for the first time and said no time to continue, and 1.5 hours for the later time. They charged me labour for about $450. The technician told me he took off the air intake valve and found it's leaking on the back and don't promised it's the reason for misfire. And he also told me it's about $800 to replace it. But I told him there was no code shows this intake problem. I refused to replace it after paying $180+ for the second checking. I decided to check it myself. And according to the information from Google, the symptoms of the relay problem is very closed to my car. I went to buy a relay @ $20 from Napa, and everything is gone. Now I have driven my car for more than 1000km, and there is no engine light on again. During repairing it myself, I found some other issues, the ABS connector and the relay of cooling system were not connected well that caused new codes. And it's good after my reconnecting them. So the Canadian Tire technician has really poor knowledge to diagnose the problems. They may create more problems after repairing. Do not go to ask them diagnose and repair your car in the auto service department of Parry Sound. I also disputed my case to the manager and the customer care Dept of the Canadian Tire, but no any feedback after almost a month. No customer care at all.

Being from the States this is a great little store. We do not have the Canadian tire. The store had a great selection and everything we needed. We were on a trip North in a motor home pulling a Jeep. We were able to pick up several miscellaneous supplies that were unexpected to be found in one place. Service with a smile as well... didn't hurt.

We were not aloud to enter because we had a small dog in our arms. It's a scolding hot day out and they sell pet supplies, the dog is not on the ground nor is there open food within the structure. It's very sad at this day and age that they would rather have patrons leave their animals in the car rather then bring them in for a few minutes. It's cottage country people aren't front around here and are passing through, sometimes you don't have the option to leave an animal at home. The way the employee "Joe" ( after reading reviews could be Jim, ridiculously tall guy, the employees could have lied when I asked his name) handled the situation was not only personally rude but extremely unprofessional and represents Canadian tire in a very distasteful way. It's our understanding that Canadian tire has no policy that pets are not aloud in stores it's individually decided so everyone should know these owners have decided on their own in cottage country "no dogs aloud"...Will never return.

The folks here are amazing. I live in Toronto, and through my own mistake, lost my keys to my carry case for my van's roof rack. Vicki in parts took the time to see if a key from one of their in stock explorer cases fit my box, and then went as far as to order one for me! Fantastic. It is unfortunate that the only way they will let you purchase anything from inside the store is via credit card and online which some of you may understand is not an option for all of us. So I called the store and asked if they could simply allow me to pay for the brakes in the garden centre because they are allowing debit purchases in that area. The response was sorry you cannot purchase anything why don't you ask a family member or a friend to use their credit card and you will pay them back. Unfortunately I have no friends right now in this area and my family hasn't talked to me for 10 years and I need brakes for my car. I called the auto parts store not so far from Canadian Tire and they were more than happy to allow me to purchase using my debit card at the door. Needless to say, Canadian Tire has forever lost my current business and any future business I may have intended to give them. A person can acquire anything in a Canadian Tire store pretty much anywhere. You can also use a debit card with any of their competitors who carry the same inventory. You would think during these times of COVID that as business such as this would have tried just a little harder to help the little guy they claim to support, it's not like I was asking for a discount just a different payment option.

i find this store lacks talent. most staff have no idea about their isles or even what they sell in their isles. the store manager lacks huge in how to communicate with her employees therefore is why the store has issues keeping staff. it has went threw 3 owners in a 5year span . i worked here this store is not organized at all for its inventory . and automotive is i pure joke as its garage hands are kids and there lead mechanic is a drunk . there front desk staff member thinks hes alll that when hes gotta be the rudest ahole ever ....the manager is decent ....alll in all avoid this store if possible

I went there on a Friday, July 3 in the afternoon during a visit to La Tuque, the employees were generally friendly except for an older employee who grabbed a basket of goods saying aggressively: I am able to pack it myself 6 inches from the face as I started to move it so that I could pass. (I had to move several baskets during shopping, I counted 15 in all in the store) ... I was speechless at her attitude, maybe she had heard me say to my wife at how unseen I had ever seen such a mess in a Canadian Tire! In short, once badly taken I will go back but if you have the chance to avoid it. ..A surprise visit from the managers would be in order! In the current Covid situation, I would have liked a clean store and that the lady stays at least 1m or that she has a mask before approaching so close to my face (Original) Le Canadian Tire le plus à l'envers parmi tous ceux que j'ai visité. On dirait un magasin de liquidation sur le point de fermer. Je m'y suis rendu un vendredi 3 juillet en après-midi lors d'une visite à La Tuque, les employés étaient sympathiques dans l'ensemble sauf une employée d'un certain age qui a agrippé un panier de de marchandises en me disant agressivement : je suis capable de le tasser moi-même à 6 pouces du visage alors que je commençais à le déplacer afin de pouvoir passer. (j'avais dû déplacer plusieurs paniers en cours de magasinage, j'en ai compté 15 en tout dans le magasin)... j'étais bouche bée de son attitude, peut-être elle m'avait entendu dire à ma conjointe à quel point je n'avais jamais vu pareil désordre dans un Canadian Tire ! A large Canafian Tire with all the usual gadgets, accessories, sporting goods and necessities typically found there. Gas bar as well. Lots of free parking, large lot, wheelchair accessible store. Friendly helpful staff. If they don't have it, you probably don't need it.

Had to stop by the automotive centre before leaving Killbear as I had a flat tire on a rental car. The car did not have any tools in order to switch out the tire with a spare so I had to call a tow truck to come with the proper equipment to put on my spare. Drove to Canadian Tire to get my tire plugged so that I could drive the 4 hours back home and they told me that they can fix the tire but refused to put the tire back on my car. They said that they wanted to go home (it was around 4pm and they close at 5) and I explained that I would not be able to drive back home without their help. I even asked if I could just borrow the tools for 10 minutes to put the tire on myself and they said no and to find another way to get my tire on. The customer service here is horrible. They give you dirty looks and speak to you with so much attitude. I honestly have never been spoken to so rudely at a store in my life. If you ever need to get your car fixed, I would honestly recommend that you choose to go somewhere else. And looking at other reviews, there seems to be a pattern of the auto centre being rude and incompetent.

I love having a locally owned CTC store nearby but their customer service is lacking. Ordered tires 16 days ago that were supposed to be ready in 4 days and nobody can tell me when they will arrive. They told me to call online customer service. What a shame.

Got my car worked on there today. This morning they said there were no appointments until the next day and then I drop it off and they say well maybe we can have a look at it turns around they looked at it and fixed it in a few hours. The problem was the horn they installed wasn't working properly and the serpentine belt came off after the alternator they put on. I was going to put the belt on myself but I noticed the air conditioning belt was still on there and it was a difficult task to remove it then put the serpentine belt on and put the AC belt back on so I took it to Canadian Tire to have them look at the horn anyway. I got a bill for a starting charging inspection of $35 and a bill for an air conditioner compressor belt for 5 0.33. I get in the car I drive at home the air conditioner don't work now and the horn still doesn't work. Not happy will change my review if tomorrow they fix everything

Dirty walking into the store! Muddy water and soaked weat floors making it very dangerous and slippery. Store is very crowded, one person at a time walking through it as there's merchandise layout throughout and down the aisles. Not many cashiers available, making longer waiting lineups. However they do have nice sales and a variety of choices for anything you'll need.

Nice to find this chain so far from home. Usual selection of fine merchandise and auto service, plus propane filling station too. Surprising discovery was the "sale" price of seasonal stuff was 15% higher here than at the store back in my home town. Will remember to shop at home as much as possible next time. Gas bar 1 block away was a nice addition for a 5 cent per litre discount on my triangle card.

Today at 1740 I had to go to Canadian Tire to pick up new paint. I had just made it in time because they were closing at 1800. Fortunately I went to the Canadian Tire in Fort Frances, rather than to Menards since i received wonderful, prompt service and they did not even mind that i came late (lots of stores employees would give remarks showing up that close to closing time). I was helped by a very knowledgeable employee (I believe his name was Jordan, he used to work in automotive I believe) He helped me find the perfect paint and it was even on sale! 10/10 would go back again.

This place is like most Canadian Tires I've been to. The aisles are quite tight and difficult to navigate but they got lots of stuff and limited room so I understand why that is. My biggest complaint would have to be their speakers that play music. They're obviously busted, which makes the music sound terrible and distorted. I hope they change it soon but it's been like that for a couple of years. I'm surprised the employees haven't changed it themselves. Other than that the place is fine. The good deals keep me coming back.

Went to Canadian Tire to get a socket. Walked around the tools department for 10 minutes and no sign of any workers to unlock the cage. Purchased a replacement battery, for Mazda 3 2008 GT 2.3L Auto, their computers gave me the wrong battery. Advised I had to add a 2x4 piece of WOOD as the battery was too small, they blamed me stating I was wrong and the computer is correct, even showed them the original battery core was different. They advised there was nothing they could do, as the computer is correct. I have no modifications to my vehicle and they were unwilling to help me further. Forced to go there to buy small things because of the small town, and it's always a bother to get assistance, or they lie that they don't carry something, even though I just found it on there large computer in the front of the store..called them out...then they circled back and said it must be Out of Stock. Asked if I could order it, and said no.....i'm always pleasant to the cashiers even though the part people didn't know about my battery.....still bad customer service as well.
