35 Years ago Lorry and I purchased a summer home on the Canadian Lakeshore. It was a 70 year old home that was indeed a "Fixer upper". At that time we decided to start a renovation and our architect suggested we contact Sider Brothers. Carlton and Leonard soon came on board as our contractors. I remember Carlton often bringing his youngest son Shawn, to assist his him and his brother Wayne tin helping us with normal maintenance on our lawn. In over 35 years the Sider Brothers have been the only contractor we have ever used. Besides our own home, they have built our pool, pool house, our son's house, and our guest apartment. we have been so totally pleased with their work that we again chose them last year to build a new home for us. Obviously this says a lot about their work, but more so it says a great deal about them personally. Sider Brothers are our builders of choice, but more importantly they are our friends. The workmanship is first class, and his crew and sub-contractors are among the best trades people in the Niagara Region. He came in almost to the penny to original estimate; we did go over budget, but I can account for every cent going only into upgrade choices on materials of construction. I was impressed. Responding to concerns- I always received some response the same day, even just to say when he would be respond fully; generally he was waiting on me. I value him for his honesty, consistency and respect for the dignity of others; he can be firm and forceful with his people. I'm an engineer, to me the best part of this house was covered in drywall; my wife disagrees, she adores the trim and built-in furniture.

Sider Bros. built our cottage for us on Lake Erie. After a year and a half of interviewing builders we settled on Shawn Sider and crew. The quality of their work is impeccable. We decided on a budget as well as a start date and end date and all were met. Our cottage is roughly 5000 square feet and as we live in Utah we knew we couldn’t be on the job site very often. In the 10 months it took Sider Bros. to build our cottage we only visited the job site twice. All of Shawn’s contractors were outstanding. Shawn demands perfection and it shows in the quality of their work. Shawn is a problem solver who is always thinking one step ahead to avoid and mistakes. When we arrived to see our brand new cottage which was very labor intensive due to the millwork and finishes there wasn’t one thing that we would have changed. It was perfect and Sider Bros. made building our home easy and effortless. We are very, very happy with the quality of our home.

Prior to commencement of our project to tear down an existing cottage and replace it with a new build,we interviewed quite a number of construction contractors .My wife and I were not impressed and didn't like any of them,until we met Shawn Sider. We were very impressed with him and took an instant liking to him.It turned out that we were right. Although Sider Bros. are a bit more expensive than their competitors,they are worth every extra cent.The trades Shawn used are very skilled and did a great job.They all really cared about the results of their work .In fact ,they were so good,that pursuant to my unusual request, they installed plaques and signatures to honour their craftmanship and handywork (in subtle locations) .Also,post construction ,Shawn is always available to attend to any additions,modifications,additional improvements etc.We even gave him the keys to our cottage so that he can attend to any emergencies if we are not there. I cannot recommend him more highly.

When my wife and I thought about taking down our old house on Lake Erie in Ontario, that had been in my family for a century and building a new one, we were a bit nervous. We had never built a home; always redid existing ones. The first builder we asked to come and give us ideas was Sider Bros. They have a great reputation in the area of Ontario where we spend our summers. Sean Sider came over and gave us his opinion on rebuild versus redoing.He then took us to see some homes that he had built. After seeing the quality in these homes, we looked no further. From the planning and design process with Nicole to the very end was a great experience. Sean was very attentive to the details. They listened to all the things we wanted in our beach house and we couldn't have been happier with the results. Everyone on sight working was so nice and respectful and they went above and beyond with precise attention to detail. Amazing carpentry! We were so pleased. Also have to say the paint job was impeccable. Matt did a great job. So accommodating! Anytime you would call with a question they would get back to you the same day. They are like family! Great, great experience.
