We took their advice and we were pleased with the results. My husband and I sought out Parsons Interiors of Oakville when we were getting quotes on finishing our basement. Parsons Interior's team and designers were involved right from the beginning by helping us figure our what we were trying to accomplish,our goal was to have a 21st Century man cave English pub style,but we also needed it to work with my likes as a women and be functional for our young twins. Parson's team came up with sketches,and floor plans while helped us with design layout, and style of furniture. Picking out all of the finishings for the basement renovation was a big part of what we were looking for as well as fabric for cushions,drapes, area rugs as well as wallpaper for the bathroom. Jackie has a real talent for colour matching and I was amazed at what she was able to put together for us. With the floor plans, we were able to determine the proper size furniture for the room and order all the furniture so that it was ready by the time the basement was finished. Throughout the project, over the period of many months,Parsons Interiors have been very reliable and timely. Jackie tracked projects, kept on top of several suppliers and provided us with updates regularly. It was very enjoyable working with Jackie for the remodelling our home. Her colour selection was excellent, and the custom furniture is of extremely high quality. She kept us updated and was actually present for the delivery and supervised to ensure that all items were satisfactory. She also remained until all furniture was set in place and assembled (where required). When I bought my condo, to say it needed a lot of work would have been an understatement. It wasn't painted, there were no blinds or curtains, it needed some minor construction, there was no furniture whatsoever - I was in way over my head, and the amount of work that needed to be done was overwhelming. As a guy in his late twenties with no experience with this kind of thing, I didn't know where I would even start. I came across Jackie's page online and decided to give her a call on a whim. She answered the phone herself, I told her what I needed and simply asked her if she could help me. We met shortly after at the condo so she could see the space and get to know me, the feel I was looking for, and my budget. Over the coming weeks we developed our game plan: we determined our layout, we chose paints, fabrics, designed the furniture, found our materials for a custom brick accent wall - she was incredible. She was never pushy, knew what I wanted, helped me find everything, hired the contractors, the painters, the blinds guy, everyone! She was there at the condo for deliveries and coordination of the professionals while I was at work and couldn't be there. I would communicate with her, and she would communicate with them. She went as far as getting the mattresses, bed sheets, towels, bath mats - literally everything. When I needed her, she was a text, email, or phone call away. Her personal care and attention to detail were not only helpful, they were integral. She saw my vision, and she saw it through to completion. When there was a problem with the delivery, she took care of it. I couldn't be happier with the way the place turned out. Jackie is a professional with a personal touch, and I could not have done it without her. I would highly recommend her to anyone for anything, no matter how big or small the project is.

I have had the honor and privilege of working with Parsons Interiors for the past 5 years in making my house a home. Our first endeavor together was reupholstering my living room and front hall furniture. Jackie walked in and had the uncanny ability to know my taste right away. I am very sad to say our experience with Jackie did not measure up to other reviews. We were embarking on renovations to our small Lorne Park home and decided we needed some help. We met with Jackie and discussed our plans and budget and thought she was a good fit. The first indication that trouble laid ahead was her first sourcing document. I ran some quick searches on the items listed; vanities and tubs; and found the prices to be entirely out of whack with what I could quickly find. When I pointed this out to Jackie, her response, which came to be a running response was - I don’t shop around. My response was to advise that I wanted to go to a store with reasonable pricing and not just one she had a “relationship” with. We ended up at Tiles Plus and the first thing I noticed was that nothing had a price. Nothing. I’m not accustomed to that kind of shopping but we picked everything out and decided to wait and see. Of course we were quoted list pricing for everything. I eventually sourced everything myself from Taps and Home Hardware and saved *thousands*. Home Hardware in Oakville sells the exact same Stonewood vanities for much less and has lots on display. Magda at Taps was beyond helpful and made subtle substitutions that vastly improved the functionality of my shower and saved me money. Jackie helped with tile colour choices only and yes we were happy with those for the most part. As the construction began, we ran into multiple problems with Jackie’s drawings. I lost count of the revisions. Some aspects of her design for my washroom just made zero sense. Luckily we had a contractor that was able to work around them and made many helpful revisions. I reached my lowest low with Jackie when I had a plumber come to me at 8am asking if my vanity indeed had a depth of 12 inches as per the drawings. Well of course it didn’t and I found myself calling Stonewood to get the correct dimensions. I discussed with Jackie and she blamed her protege. I work for lawyers and they always check my work and if it’s wrong the blame is on them and not me. This certainly wasn’t the last of the errors. Our counters in the laundry were just over two feet. Jackie refused to change the drawings beyond revising the number. I asked her to change the drawing so that the proportions were correct and she refused. Beyond the washrooms, her quotes for drapery and millwork were vastly more than I was able to source myself. For some reason unbeknownst to me, Jackie sources her millwork from Markham. I can only surmise the reason for this. When she quoted nearly $6000 for our basement laundry, I balked and asked for the quote stating I don’t hand out $6000 without a breakdown. Her response - I don’t have a quote they just texted me a number. So no. No today. No tomorrow. No next week. We went to IKEA, which Jackie tuned her nose up to, and got a sweet little set up-perfectly suitable for a basement laundry room for under $2000. I’m sure Jackie is a perfectly good stager but for renovations I would 100% say the work we received and paid for was unacceptable. Her communications were poor and every single email I received read like it was hastily dashed off at a red light. And maybe that was the disconnect. Maybe we were not valued as clients because we were unwilling to write a blank cheque. I’m not sure where things derailed on this but I’m glad it’s over and I learned some valuable lessons. I hope this review at least save someone else the headache.

After an introductory call and visit with Jackie from Parson’s Interiors, we started our transformation project that included flooring, fireplace, stairs, furniture and décor. We moved into our home a few years ago... The house is about thirty years old and needed to be renovated and updated. The kitchen was just done by the previous owners but needed a new backsplash. All three bathrooms, needed to up renovated including the powder room on the main floor and the basement in need of a facelift. We did not know what we wanted. This was overwhelming job for me and my husband being a lawyer, wife, and mother of 3 boys with no time on my hands. We needed a professional to help us out... I immediately thought of Parsons Interiors, because I had met Jackie Connolly through a networking event a few years back and knew that one day once I was ready to do any type of decorating and renovations I would be calling her. After our first consultation meeting, Jackie gave us a lot of advice and was able to walk us through all the steps that will be done. Jackie listened to our needs and wish list and then she was able to take care of all the fine details which saved us a lot of time and money. Once the sourcing and colour charts were done, we were able to go to Tiel Plus together to see all of the samples in person. I was very pleased with the selections that Jackie had but together for all the bathrooms. The prices were more reasonable than other retail stores that I looked at in the past on my own. Once that all the renovations were done, we asked Jackie to come back and help us create our dream master bedroom with new bedding and to do some styling for the entire home. Jackie is an absolute pleasure to work with. The selections and decor she recommended were perfect! She made the entire process very easy and a ton of fun! We have lived in our home for over 30 years and we decided that our 1980's home need to be renovated and updated. The project was a new kitchen, laundry room, and flooring (tile & carpet) throughout our 2500 sqft home. We knew what we wanted, however, it was an overwhelming job. We needed professional help. We met Jackie many years ago through friends and knew about her Interior Design company Parsons Interiors. We immediately called her for a consultation. After our meeting, Jackie gave us the best advice. We needed to first PURGE before we even thought to start our project. So we purged and after a few months, we called Jackie back. She listened to our wants and needs and she had us create our wish list for all the fine details of our kitchen & flooring and overall look for our home. Jackie then designed our kitchen and she brought us to her lighting and tile & carpet suppliers and appliance store. She researched 3 contractors and assisted us in choosing the most suitable contractor for our project. She also helped us with paint colours and ideas and even gave us design and decorator advice during the project just to think about for today or for the future. She also dressed the windows in our home with the most beautiful custom drapery and drapery hardware. Parsons Interiors also took care of the installation with a professional drapery installer. Jackie was with us all the way excited energetic and always a step ahead of the project. She knew exactly what we wanted and was always on point with our style. She would only be a text or phone call away if we needed her. Our project is complete and it is beautiful. We love our home and the new style.
