I've recently had my ensuite bathroom completely renovated by Lionsgate Design Inc. The renovation was completed on time as promised. Even though with the Convid-19 set backs , the project went smoothly. A thank you is in order to Tina Singh the designer who coordinated the project from start to finish and her team of trades people. All necessary precautions were taken to make sure no damage was done to hardwood floors/stairs by using special temporary floor covering. The team of trades were very professional and courteous . All in all I was very pleased with the renovation and I definitely recommend Lionsgate Design Inc. Thanks again Tina and the crew, you've done an excellent job, I love the Glass walk in shower, the Vanity and choice of Quartz, plumbing fixtures, free standing Bathtub, Toilet, Bidet, porcelain floor/wall tiles and the finishing touches.

Whilst I thought my home was appropriately furnished and decorated for sale, I hired Lionsgate and put my trust in their advice. I must say that it was the best investment that I have ever made in the home. They have transformed my home which I now know will sell quickly and for a higher price. Absolutely unprofessional on all levels. !!! I hired Lionsgate almost a year ago to work on my home renovation project. Three months into the design stage ( requires only two months as they promised), I had to informed Tina to reschedule the construction due to a family issue.At the same time, I did stress that conceptual design, permit and drawings still need be done without further delay. From that point on, I could barely get hold of Tina. Communications were mostly done via email or text messages only, which usually took minimal one week , in most cases 2 to 3 weeks. Eventually , I was informed that they were too busy to continue with my project and they have to cancelled my contract and charge me ridiculous hourly rate rather than the flat rate previously agreed and half paid . At that point, half year into the project, they did not even get the conceptual design completed. Instead of having a proper discussion with me in person or on the phone regarding the service termination, the owner , Tina , only sent me an email and two cookies with a greeting card saying "Sorry" . I have to say, she was way more enthusiastic and responsive before receiving my checks. Design and drawing were done by a co-op college student, whose creativity and quality of work were truly disappointing. Almost a year ago, I sent a check to cover the cost for an architect Tina hired to work on construction permit, by now, the issued permit is about to expire, and I've never received it from neither the architect or Lionsagate. According to the architect, he has never get paid from Tina.

I couldn't be more pleased with the experience that I had, using Lionsgate Design, to furnish my new condo. Given that it is a second home, and that I do not reside in Toronto, Tina made the process seamless and incredibly easy. Her style questionnaire is genius, and really nailed down what I was looking for. From there, her vision kicks in and really pulled it all together. Quality workmanship in all of the furnishings, specially the one-off custom sleeper love-seat sofa, makes me feel like I really got my money's worth, too. Add to this, her coordination of the delivery and move-in, and it all makes for the best possible outcome this decorating-challenged bachelor could have hoped for!

I hired Tina from Lionsgate after a free consultation. We are renovating the main floor of our home and I explained to her that I would mainly need help picking finishes and pulling the entire project together so the renovation worked with my entire home. She suggested I go with the “concept package” which she explained clearly to me would provide us with an initial designer concept, and then would allow me to work with the designer to pick finishes, lighting, paint colours and help source furniture once the project evolved. The charge for this was $5000.00 plus tax, but she assured me this was the way to go as it would allow us to reach out to her during different stages of the project and would be the most economical way to go. She did explain that her fees were $375/hour, but “this package should be more than enough to carry you through the entire project”. Since it is a renovation, the overall layout has not changed much. After completing an online questionnaire, Tina and her assistant came to our home to take some measurements. They stayed for 1.5 hours. A month later we went to Lionsgate for a 40 minute presentation where she and her assistant showed us their ideas for the project, She picked a few swatches, paint colours and floor ideas-some which were good suggestions and others which we pointed out we didn’t love, but she assured us that “this is just a starting point” and that as we moved along further with the project, she would help us to evolve her initial ideas. We left with a folder of cut and paste ideas, no sources, and that was the last time I saw her in person. The majority of drawings she provided included inaccurate measurements, concepts that did not allow for the function of the room (cabinets that could never be opened because they would hit furniture), no furniture placement or furniture suggestions even, and no lighting maps. She promised “at least one formal revision”. After the “presentation”, I tried to get her to meet with our contractor so that we could sit down and flush through ideas with her, as a lot of the concepts she suggested did not work well with our space (due to her very quick assessment of our home and inaccurate measurements) and after many attempts to meet with her (covid certainly did not help, but her secretary was resistant and had terrible customer service), she finally did meet with us for a zoom meeting which took about 30 minutes and she gave almost no advice. She did say to us all to reach out any time am she would be happy to run over ideas with us. Over the last six months I have tried to speak with her about three times (I got through once and received advice on an island colour - total time was 5 minutes, half of it she apologized for her Secretary being so difficult and again told me to reach out anytime!). Recently I have tried to have her do an onsite visit so we can actually pick the finishes, furniture, lighting, paint colours-and she has refused without further payment. I wanted to show her the progress we have made in the construction. After the concept presentation-of which we the homeowners did not approve or finalize any of her choices, nor receive any solid information on how to find many of her selections, she completely lost interest in our project and has basically refused to complete her end of things. We did ask her to get a kitchen quote for us-she did, and we did not go with her source because it was a lot more than other quotes received. The millwork drawings included measurements she had provided to the company which were totally inaccurate anyhow. For $5000 I expected a lot more than one on site visit. How can a designer pick paint colours when the floor colours snd cabinets are not even picked? Honestly I’m so disappointed with Lionsgate. However I will say that I was taken by a sales pitch and got very little in writing, and I stupidly paid in full before the project was completed. As soon as she cashed our cheque, Lionsgate lost interest completely in our project and did not complete what I was initially told. Buyer Beware.

From the initial consultation all the way until the final day of our renovation completion, Tina and her team were very professional, punctual and competent. We were extremely impressed with all the contractors that worked at our home and played a part in creating such an incredible space.
