Although PRASADA hasn't had the pleasure of working with Kate directly, we have admired Kate Davidson Design Inc's work and share a lot of the same company values. Their taste and their designs are always beautiful and well put together. Their expertise and talent is immeasurable. Five stars aren't enough! They will be a go-to resource for me personally, and for PRASADA I'd also like to personally thank Kate for doing such a wonderful job in our community. It doesn't go unnoticed. We look forward to collaborating with Kate in the near future.

“I love your kitchen” are the first words I am greeted with over and over again in Zoom meetings while working from home during COVID-19. The credit of course goes completely to Kate and her team! But let me back up to when I first met Kate by chance at a Home Show. Yes, I signed up for a free 15-minute consultation and came prepared with my custom house build floor plan. Shortly later I had a suggested revision that continues to be in place today giving me a perfect little nook for my treadmill. But more importantly I felt such a comfortable connection talking with Kate that I knew she was the one to help me design/decorate my 1200 sq ft unit on the top floor of a new triplex build. I’m the first to admit that design and decoration are not in my strengths but I had a budget and I knew the ambiance I wanted to achieve. Kate’s recommendations were continually spot on and while my remote office colleagues only get to see my kitchen from the open concept layout, my most favorite room in the house is the bathroom. It’s true that the tiles Kate helped picked out might not be the most expensive (thanks Kate for being mindful of the budget) but I absolutely love them and how the whole room came together. It was a pretty small and challenging area to work with so it needed professional help to keep it looking open and functional. Expectations exceeded! Did I mention Kate climbed 3 sets of stairs to my upper unit through construction dust and dirt when she was 9 months “expecting” to help me pick out paint colours? Kate sees her projects through from start to finish and I trust her completely. There was one budget splurge Kate gently suggested, that being the “glassed-in” staircase and I’m so very, very glad I followed her advice as it’s the first thing you see at my private first floor entrance. It sets the tone perfectly for the whole look of the house that I was trying to achieve and was money well spent. We also had to make changes on the fly when the builder suddenly announced a 16’ transom window would end up lower than expected in the great room. The custom mill work adjustment Kate designed turned out better than the original plan. I would highly recommend Kate (as I already have many times) to anyone needing interior design services.

We decided to upgrade our rather small kitchen, and employed Kate Davidson to help us with it. And was she ever a find!!! She listened to our requirements, made appropriate suggestions, and kept us from making errors we hadn't even thought of! Her knowledge of the various codes, her very fine colour & aesthetic senses, and her personality all made it such a great experience! We now have a beautiful hyper efficient kitchen with all of our requirements met... in spades!!! We plan to have her back again when we are ready to update our bedroom & bathroom, and I would CERTAINLY recommend her to anyone who needs some design advice!!!
