Paul transformed my multilevelled, chafer-beetle riddled, muddy back yard, into a beautiful and functional outdoor living space. He listened carefully to what I wanted and created an overall design that extended our living space into the outdoors, and provided a wonderful environment for entertaining and relaxing with my family. From our initial consultation, and throughout the project, Paul was able to make the space that I envisioned, to become a reality. The project went smoothly, finished on time, and on-budget. He and his team managed the actual on-site work as well as details such as communication with the strata council, and the City inspector, regarding the installation of the fire bowl. Paul did an excellent job start to finish, and I highly recommend him for your next home project.

We hired KANDER DESIGN to replace our sundeck and to increase our storage ( mainly clothes) space in our one bedroom suite. We felt right away in prefect harmony, at the very first visit, with the view brought by Paul Fraser who took in charge the 2 projects. We knew perfectly what we needed as storage and a vague idea what it may eventually looks like. Paul was visioning the project like it would have been its own. Looking at the best quality/aesthetic/convenience with a budget that would have been his own. Clearly we were making things too complicated and he offered us to build up the project by stages and re-assess each stage step by step. At the end it was the right approach as we realized we were able to have everything needed with less work thus lower budget. No hiccup, only little adjustments with always a cheap solution found by Paul. It was our project but we felt it was done for Paul himself. We had to open a wall, close another one, move a door and build closets and penderies. Every day when we came back from work, our place was clean, tools away from our space. Highly appreciated since our suite is not that big and we were still living in it. The sundeck has been built while the weather conditions were terrible and for that project too, Paul came up with good ideas that at the end were even reducing the total cost. Like for the inside project, our back yard was as clean as before the project started. We have now a solid and nicer sundeck, and a much more cozy, convenient and comfortable suite for a final cost that has not surpassed the initial budget and did not take more time than estimated originally. That despite the few modifications brought as we were moving on. Without any hesitation we will count on him in the future to re invent or revisit details of a project and to accomplish it. Since that first project, “Kander Design” has been working for us 2 more times with the same efficiency and same satisfaction. Projects Dates: September 2017 + January 2019 + October 2019

Budget Blooms

I have used Pauls design and building services 4 times now. Firstly he built in a #walkincooler for my floral business. His design skills saved me so much money and it's a gorgeous unit. Secondly he did a small job of built in shelving for my workshop/small biz. Thirdly he revamped my laundry room which had no counters and a terrible old sink. Now it's usefull, pretty and practical. Lastly a much bigger job with many moving parts was to tear out a porch and old hottub area and create a lovley outdoor dining space and fire pit seating area. We could not be happier with all the of the projects that Paul has completed for us. His prices are very fair and his workmanship excellent. His team was polite and easy to have at your home. He's also a great problem solver. He doesn't just do it, he ensures it all works. I highly recommend Kander Design.

We were undertaking a significant renovation of our kitchen, family room and powder room. We hired Paul to help coordinate all of our trades and we could not be happier with the experience. From drywallers, plumbers, painters and electrical crew all were very professional and reasonably priced. Every time one job was done Paul had the next trade ready to go. Paul was super engaged, proactive and responsive to all of our needs and trouble shooted along the way as needed. I was lucky to overhear a conversation at the gym and found that Paul had something to do with Reno’s. I checked out Kander Design design website and then chatted with him in the parking lot. You could hear the passion in his voice when talking about the possibility of the new project. When we agreed to move forward with the project we went out on a source finding mission. Each those jobs was done extremely well ( high quality work, timely, on-budget). Paul is a true professional, a creative problem solver and an overall nice guy. He is a pleasure to deal with.
