Clean store, very friendly and knowledgeable staff! The large drivethru warehouse is fantastic considering the weather here in Newfoundland, no hunting through stacks of wood in the rain or digging it out of a snowbank. Pleasure to shop there for folk who hate shopping.

Great deals, especially if you collect Airmiles. Staff are great, but usually need to be approached first. I find they rarely come talk to you and ask if you need help. Once you ask though, they are very glad to help you out. The main reason bringing this rating down to 3 stars is because of item availability and organization. Whether you want 1 or 10, they never seem to have enough inventory and good luck finding a price as items always seem to be in the wrong spot on the shelves. Edit: They must be listening. During my trip there today, I was approached by no fewer than 4 staff and had 2 very helpful conversations! So I've upped my rating to 4 stars. Thank you so much!

Absolutely appalled by the poor and disrespectful customer service. I am not familiar with the items I searched for here (pbc piping, specific sized screws and wood). When I asked for help, I was turned down multiple times or turned away from. Out of 4 employees that I asked help from, only one was not rude. That gentleman from the lumber area was very kind and helped me.

Great selection in lumber and accessories. Absolutely no pricing outside then you have to find someone to help you from inside, they take a picture of # and go all the way back to the station and all the way back with your price...Where are your mobile price checks guys???? Its 2019 NOT 1920 !!!The wait for customers is insane and completely unacceptable for a store this size.Seemed to be a few guys kicking around doing "something" ...observed guys having conversations about family as I was walking past them...Another 2 staff together standing talking casually...Noone directing them...One girl at the cash(who was helpful)..VERY POOR SERVICE OVERALL!!

I usually enjoy going to Kent but today in Corner Brook it was sub par. Almost nothing I bought had price tags. Also the flyer special 3 weeks running greenhouse was said to have Never arrived. :( zero inventory

Terrible service. Was being seved at the hardware counter. Guy says he has to take care of something, will be back in a minute. Was gone for 10-15 mins and then i went looking for him, he was up front being social with a couple cashiers, totally ignoring us. Got him back. Didn't have most of the stuff we needed and then referred us to another company. I won't be back. Stan Dawe will get my business from now on.

Ok selection, ok customer service, poor pricing. Selection: For such a big store, you'd expect them to carry more stuff, but they don't. For example, in the nuts and bolts section they have nuts with no bolts to match, and vice versa. For wood you're limited to standard construction type lumber, pine, some oak, and some maple. Forget anything exotic. Plywood is mostly garbage if you want high end stuff. Construction plywood is good. Customer service: talking to someone knowledgeable is hit or miss. There are some gems who know their stuff, paint supplies and contractor services in particular, but otherwise you're on your own. Staff are reluctant to do any special orders and will likely suggest you go elsewhere. Prices: decent but not as good as you'd expect from a big box store. For example, they carry King Canada tools, but the prices are always 2-3% higher than anywhere else. ie KC biscuit joiner is $119.99 everywhere else, $122.99 at Kent. Oak and maple are particularly expensive. I paid $10 for 1"x6"x4' oak at a local competitor, Kent charged twice that much. Supposed to be a price match guarantee but when I brought in my receipt and asked them to match it, they refused. The website is useless for figuring out how much things will cost as the prices are way off. Plywood for example is always $3-4 a sheet more expensive in the store than what's on the website. Otherwise, the store is generally pretty clean with only a few trouble spots that need more attention. The shelves are tidy, lots of products on display. The store and website is in serious need of review.
