tl;dr Decorilla took us - an aesthetically-challenged couple - and put us in a wonderfully designed, boldly done house. They took the stress and guesswork out of designing the house with professional designers, true-to-life 3D renderings, color selection, custom shopping lists of everything from paints to lighting to furniture and post-design consultation. And at a fourth the price we would have paid a traditional designer. When it was all done, it felt like we designed the house ourselves, minus all the stress. Without Decorilla, we would probably be living in a house with the usual earthy browns, bundled sheaf in the corners, stock photo frames on the walls - too meek to make any bold moves. Now, we love coming back home to a place of vibrance and commune. Our friends love to hang out at our place. Decorilla is a no-brainer for someone like us. We recommend Decorilla to all our friends. Long story: When we bought a house, we wanted it to be unique to who we are but at the same time tastefully done. We had a lot of fragmented ideas of what we wanted in the house but both of us are too aesthetically challenged (sort-of) to bring all those ideas together into something that could work. Also, having just purchased the house, we were on a rather tight budget. Local interior design consultants in our area were charging about $6500 on an average. We stared at each other when Joyce (of Decorilla) mentioned that we could hire a consultant for a fourth that price. The sample transformations advertised on the Decorilla website were very promising. It was a risk-free option, where we could back out if we were not happy with the initial proposals, so we decided to give Decorilla a try. We chose Rachel to design our child's room and Tabitha to design the living space. Both wonderful designers. What came out of this was bold and unique. Both designers chose vibrant color and decor for the rooms (the way we wanted it). The rooms were unique to who we are as people - and distinctly different from every other house we have seen. We would probably never have been able to do that ourselves. We would probably never have had the confidence to choose the colors that Rachel and Tab chose and make them work. The decor was within the budget that we initially decided on, so it was not taxing on our wallets. The true-to-life 3D renderings that Rachel and Tab gave us took the guess work out of our decision. Before we spoke to the contractors, we knew exactly how the house was going to look, what the lighting was going to be like and what the furniture would look like. We went back an forth with design changes and both designers worked patiently with us till we had something we liked. The shopping list they put together for us meant we could shop from the convenience of our desk. Agnieszka even did the shopping for us and passed on to us all the merchant discounts. When we changed our mind about some products we received, she helped communicate with the seller to get us replacements and refunds. Everyone who walks into the house has great things to say: the house is different, bold and put together really well. We have seen too many houses badly done because people didn't know how to bring their wonderful ideas together. When we look at those now, we have one word for them: Decorilla. We have a few more rooms we want to get done later this year, and we know exactly where we'll go to get our designs.

We have had a very poor Decorilla experience and would not recommend. Overall has been incredibly frustrating and there is no way to receive help other than over email - the phone number goes to voicemail. We have a significant amount of furniture credit with Decorilla that we are unable to use and they refuse to refund to credit card. Some key issues: 1) Worked with 3 designers with the 2nd designer that we liked dropped out before project completion 2) Final Design visualizations were not helpful or indicative of the items. Items that were recommended in the designs did not work with our space either due to quality or size issues. We had to return multiple items after receiving them. 3) Unable to use our furniture credit for purchases because of unresponsiveness. Very easy to order and receive an invoice for an item, but as soon as you want to use your furniture credit for the item, Decorilla goes completely silent and never places the order.

I've had two rooms in my home decorated by Decorilla and the experience has been fantastic! We just built our home in 2015 and my husband and I really wanted a nice eclectic look for our home. We reached out to a local designer and was quoted $3000 for 1 room! That didn't even include the purchase of furniture. I searched online and found Decorilla. I saw all the great reviews and decided to give them a try. We set up everything on line and one of their local designers came out to my home to take measurements the very next week. Rachel ended up doing my design. She was great! They listened to us, stayed on budget and we ended up with 2 fantastic designs for our home. We are in the process of using Decorilla again for another room in our home. They are experienced, professional, and pleasant to work with. I will definitely use their services again and I recommend them to anyone who wants top notch design for their home at half the cost of using local designers.

I am so happy I listened to my best friend who recommended I try Decorilla. I was hesitant to try and online interior design service (mostly because I felt like I could probably do it myself) but she’s never steered me wrong so I took the leap. My friend had her bedroom done and I love the way it turned out so I was excited thinking about having a beautifully designed space of my own. I didn’t even have photos to share with my designer because we started the project before we officially had the keys. Decorilla is an exceptional online interior design service. I needed help with combining two apartments into one larger space in the city. The first big task was to determine the layout. With Decorilla’s gold level designers, they have experience with CAD and were able to draft floor plans I could pass along to our contractor. The process was customized to my needs from the beginning. There were no cookie cutter packages here. The designer who I spoke on the phone with listed to what I needed and helped create a package that would best suit all of my design needs. This was a process that lasted a few months and my designer was there for me every step of the way. We have a very specific design taste but didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg on furniture and finishes. Our designer was able to deliver a high end luxury look that blew us away. And it was all within budget. We will definitely be using Decorilla for our next home renovation.

When we purchased our new home there was a lot of work to be done. Every wall needed to be painted and I was at my wits end. My husband and I both work from home on a regular basis, so I knew we needed to reach out to the professionals so our home office could function properly from the get go. I had a Pinterest board full of inspiration but no idea how to implement it. The Decorilla process was very straight forward and easy. Within a week of reaching out we had two designer proposals for our home office and we could pick who to continue working with. We had a clear favorite but also loved some elements the other designer had, so we asked our chosen designer to incorporate those as well. The whole process was pretty fast from start to finish. Our designer was very responsive to our questions and always responded within a day. Online interior design is such a great way to save money but still have a professionally designed space! We also love the discounts they pass on with our favorite stores. If we had gone out and bought all of this on our own we would have been paying much more. Decorilla gets five out of five stars from us!

After my real life experience with this service, I decided to look at the reviews. Much to my surprise, nearly all of the reviews are five stars and I believe they are absolutely FAKE and obviously so. I decided to add my review to balance out the fake reviews that seem to even include fake, staged pictures. I personally feel like I was scammed out of 600+ bucks so it was important for me to write a legitimate review to help others. I would've appreciated the same. My experience with decorilla was terrible. I decided to try them because I was comparing a bunch of online interior designers and their web page and professional reviews looked better than all the others. They even have a write up in NYTimes. I wanted a nice design and was willing to pay decorilla's premium price when compared to other online designers. The designers that worked with me seemed to be complete amateurs. Although I filled out the questionnaire describing my style preferences, chose pictures to fit my style preferences, and uploaded pictures of my empty space, I wound up with terrible mood boards. The mood boards, which were 2d not 3d, didn't look like any designs you see on decorilla's webpage. It looked like something that was just thrown together for fun by someone playing some sort of design game. I thought maybe they didn't have enough information and I recognize that people want you to do half the work by uploading inspiration photos from Pinterest and houzz. I uploaded several inspiration photos and I dont believe the designers looked at them. The moodboards continued to look amateurish and not at all fitting the modern and minimalist style that I told them I wanted. If you check out the one star reviews, my experience was consistent with those. Perhaps I got unlucky and got 2 bad designers, but either way I was very unhappy with the service.

I can't say enough about my designer and the service at Decorilla. From the moment I initially contacted them, they have provided me with the most thoughtful service. I was in a rush and didn't know where to turn to get my new condo designed including needing a bed right away. They understood and were able to send Ellia over to help me the next day. She listened to my needs and we went over colors and picked out the vital items. After that Decorilla provided me with more complete design options which were better than I could have expected. They nailed my style which is a mix of traditional and modern and I thought that would be difficult to do! Let me start by saying, my husband and I have completely different tastes for interiors and it’s been something we’ve struggled with for a long time! After feeling hopeless of ever having a beautiful home that “works” I found Decorilla and decided to give them a shot. The designer we were paired with was so knowledgeable and had great suggestions on how we could make both of our styles work in the space. The one complaint I have is that my designer went slightly over budget which was unfortunate because we had definitely went over how much money we wanted to spend. I addressed this issue with the designer after I received my shopping list and she was accommodating and suggested alternate (less expensive) items. My husband and I now have a space where we both equally enjoy spending time in!

DECORILLA pays someone to write these ridiculous reviews about how great their service is when in reality it stinks. Their designers DO NOT and can not perform at high interior designer levels. We used them and it took my designer weeks just to get a 3d model of our space. Like really? Who has this time when we are working people? If you're looking for an online interior designer --DO NOT USE DECORILLA. Their reviews are fake, and the companies designers NEVER went to interior designer schools. As far as we know they probably just went to high school. (That is how BAD their work is) Pay a higher price and go elsewhere and GET QUALITY. Decorilla gives you a headache, and you'll be paying another interior designer to start the work because DECORILLA never did.

I surprised my daughter and had her room re-done by Decorilla and let’s just say, I officially won Mom of the year! She (and I!) are SO happy with her new bedroom. She has a very distinct style and has always dreamed of having her own bohemian glam oasis to escape to. The entire Decorilla process was done online which I loved because I could send an email to my designer whenever I needed to. I was pressed for time and Decorilla was so accommodating. I was able to receive all the furniture and get everything installed before my daughter came home from her trip so it worked out perfectly. The only problem I ran into was an item being delivered damaged. I let the Decorilla ordering team know and they took care of everything. They called the company and had a new one shipped out ASAP and arranged for the return of the damaged item. It was a breath of fresh air knowing they were there to help me every step of the way.

She was very responsive and great to work with. The whole process only took a few weeks and we were able to order all of our new furniture and decor. I will admit - I was hesitant when it came to tackling my kitchen remodel through online interior design but Decorilla gave me the same - if not better experience than working with a local designer! You will not be disappointed with Decorilla’s online interior design service. Our designer, Lynda did a spectacular job designing our condo. My husband and I had a good idea of what we wanted and our design style, but we didn’t know how to tie everything together. We wanted to make sure the entire condo felt cohesive and high end within a reasonable budget. Because we favor contemporary design it was also important to make sure the condo felt cozy and welcoming. One of our favorite perks of working with Decorilla was the discounts they offered. Had we decided to tackle this project on our own we wouldn’t have been able to take advantage of all the discounts at our favorite stores. A really great experience. I was a little apprehensive at first to do interior design in such a non-traditional way. But, I decided to give it a shot. It was seamless! They really do offer 20% off of many retailers, and in our situation that more than paid for itself. I expected the 20% offer to only apply to a small selection of products, but it applied to everything we ordered (even items that were already on clearance and sale!). Really cool, and we will definitely be using them again for future products.

We had a very negative experience with Decorilla. The whole process took way longer than anticipated (3 months for 2 rooms -- really one large room), and required us to provide extensive, daily, detailed feedback to our designer (who you never speak with in person, by the way). Ultimately, the proposed plans added no value to the contractor who had to start from scratch (a skilled contractor provided more ideas and value than Decorilla did in 3 months, and they provided these ideas for free). The Decorilla process is truly laborious, overly expensive, and ultimately added very little value. By the time we finished the design about 50% of the items we had spent months picking were gone (the shopping list and discounts are not available till the end). The designers requires so much input that you may as well do the design yourself. Not to mention, the discounts they offer are not unique (easy to get a 15% off C&B with new movers, etc) and created a huge headache for picking up orders. In short, we really regret that we used Decorilla. It really delayed us instead of sped us up. We felt we had bad customer service, and got very little to no value from the work. Complete waste of money!

My husband and I were skeptical in the beginning about using online interior design service for our home. We kept going back and forth between using in-person designer and giving Decorilla a try. In the end, we used both and ended up loving our experience with Decorilla a lot more. In a few short months, we have completed 3 projects with MaryBeth, our designer. We might be done for now but if we plan to refresh any of the spaces in our home, we know we will be reaching out to Decorilla! Our experience started with a few email exchanges with Devin who was so patient in answering all of our questions. Once we decided that we wanted to work on my husband's home office/studio, Devin got us set up with Decorilla's online platform where we uploaded photos and submitted our brief. A few days later, two designers submitted their mood boards and we knew right away that MaryBeth, our designer "gets us"! Working with her has been very easy and fun! She was responsive, efficient, and really talented. After we gave an OK to the mood board, 3d renderings were created so we could really see how everything would look. They were so neat and beautiful. Once we finalized all the pieces we wanted to buy, the shopping list was created for us. We then worked with Samantha to place our orders. Samantha has been amazing and super responsive! She has helped us keep track of all our shipments. She also let us know when it was cheaper for us to buy certain items directly. After a very positive experience with the first room, we also had MaryBeth worked on our living room and our master bedroom and we are so happy with how all the rooms turned out! Since we now have experience using both in-person interior designer and Decorilla, we can share that Decorilla is a great alternative and a much more affordable option if you are more hands on with decorating your home (which we are). We were able to complete 3 rooms and paid a lot less than what we paid our in person designer for one space!

I went through Decorilla’s in-home process after calling the firm and reading the reviews. They were very helpful in providing all the options and laying out what I could expect. I needed custom built-ins and a fireplace solution in addition to decorating my living room. I was too busy to do any of the work myself. Kerry came for the initial consultation. She had a great sense of colors and style and she was SO DOWN TO EARTH (a pleasant surprise). During the consultation she was able to give us some great ideas in terms of layout and maximizing the space, she took measurements and uploaded everything including photos to our Decorilla project. Within a week we got TWO concept proposals from Kerry and another designer on the Decorilla team. We loved Kerry, but she told us to pick the concept that matched our style best. She said she’d help us implement the design regardless of the concept. We worked with Rachel to refine the design and were blown away by the results! Decorilla helped us source most items at a discount because of their vendor relations. Rachel provided a realistic model of the living room, lighting plan, and documents for the built-ins. They also happily gave me contractor recommendations that I actually used because the price was better than I could get on my own. Kerry supervised the contractors in person and helped with implementation. Overall I really felt like everyone on their team was looking out for me and their recommendations came with no strings attached. I never felt pressured to buy anything like I did with other designers in the past. The finished result was brilliant and the level of service that I received by far exceeded the price that I paid in terms of expertise and contacts shared, mistakes avoided, furniture discounts, etc. It was a delightful experience.

I am so happy I found this online interior design service. After getting an outrageous quote from a local interior designer for help with my bathroom design I decided to look into online design instead. I compared all of the well-known online interior design services like Havenly and Modsy and for me, it was no question that Decorilla was the right choice. I have to admit, I am not very good about checking my email, so this made the communication process a bit difficult for me as all the conversations with you designer are notified via email. I am so glad we hired Decorilla in the midst of our move. After comparing them with other online interior design services we decided they would be the right fit for us. What sold me was their 3D renderings. I am not a good visualizer and it made me feel so much more comfortable implementing the design when I could see it in 3D prior to making any purchases. I run a software development company and often have clients and prospects over to our office to get comfortable with our team. Till recently, our office was pretty bland and uninspiring. I wanted to go for a more Silicon Valley look that represents the cutting edge technology we develop. A friend of mine had used Decorilla and recommended it to me. The process was very simple and straight forward. I uploaded some photos and a floor plan. Within a few days I received several designer proposals. I made a couple of tweaks to one then had the option of purchasing furniture through the site. The whole process took about 3 weeks from start to finish. Very easy and now the office looks very impressive. My clients have mentioned it several times.

They can be very efficient, but after working with them multiple times over the last few months, they cause way more issues than they are worth. I was never informed of delayed deliveries, things were not deliviered on time, when i paid extra for things to be set up, things were not set up even after i had waited 21/2 months for it, then an additional month for the furniture to be set up. They do have a good return policy, and they are quick to get back to you with concerns. Many times, when you do voice a concern prior to an issue, it isn't taken into account, while this is the reason that usually causes the issue in the first place. Also i had expected and requested to stay in a sepcific price range, that wasn't taken into account whatsoever, spent nearly double as what i had requested.

My husband and I have used Decorilla for a number of rooms in our home so it was no question of who to turn to design our bedroom. Each experience with Decorilla has been so great. Our home has some funky angles and pop outs so it’s not the easiest floor plan to design around. Our designer came up with so many interesting solutions we hadn’t thought of that really let us get the most out of our space. When we started out second project we were given the option to continue working with our previous designer, or to get submissions from new designers. I appreciated that the decision was up to us. We loved our designer so we continued working with him. He really understood exactly what we wanted so I knew he’s deliver on another stunning space. I wanted a bedroom that was feminine and chic, but it still needed to be a space my husband would enjoy as well. Well that’s exactly what we got! The 3D renderings were a great way to see the room done before we made any final decisions. I also found it very helpful to be able to save the renderings and moodboard on my phone so I could reference them while out and about shopping. Another thing I wanted to mention, I never felt pressured to buy anything from Decorilla. My designer was totally open to sourcing from stores that I loved that Decorilla didn’t have a relationship with. BUT I will say I ended up going with a vendor Decorilla introduced me to because their discount saved me a good deal of money. Yet another 5 star design experience for us. We plan to start another project with them later this year!

We were skeptical about doing such a big project with an online design company, but we’re so incredibly glad we decided to work with them! We also wanted help with what to do with our dining room. The entire process was very professional and fast paced (which is how I prefer things to go). Anna was very responsive to my many questions and always responded within a few hours at most. One of my favorite parts of the Decorilla service was the ordering team that took care of all my ordering for both rooms. I can’t begin to tell you how nice it was to have my new furniture show up at my front door without worrying about coordinating it all! I plan to use them for more rooms in the future.
