Laura is an excellent designer! She works WITH you to develop a design for YOU. She doesn’t just use her own influence and make your home look like everyone else’s. She truly wants to help you make your home comfortable and reflect your style! I was always afraid to work with a designer because I thought they were only for certain people but Laura is reasonable and just a really nice person!! I enjoyed working with her.

The mudroom was detaching from my 100 year old house; after talking with a few contractors, each gave me a timeline of two years to figure it out. Knowing that it wasn't going to be an inexpensive endeavor, I started dreaming about what I wanted: a mudroom, hearth room and total kitchen renovation. The criteria was that the original house had to blend with the renovation. A friend in the trades recommended Laura. I walked into her office on a cold spring day with a picture that inspired me. After talking with me to figure out my desires and estimate; she came out for a visit. The end result was a CAD drawing of my dream that I could show to the architect which gave me such confidence that I would actually get what I wanted with all requirements known before construction. Lucky for me, Laura had built in a Phase II to the project. Laura taught me what to look for in a cabinet then she proceeded to work on measurements with the cabinet expert. When selecting the exterior and interior rock for the fireplace, she explained the difference between cultured and real stone - what an incredible education! The end result is spectacular - with Laura's guidance I transformed my cozy home into a more functional, breathtaking design. Along the way she taught me the concept of design, what to look for in every detail, and I now look at things very differently. If you are starting a home renovation project, step one is to contact Laura's firm; she will listen to your dreams and help you achieve your goal!

She added her knowledge and expertise to incorporate them into a design that has worked out quite well for me.
