Over a hundred wheelbarrows listed in stock between 5 different models but noone was willing to sell me one. One person says its seasonal which i find hard to imagine for a place that sells construction equipment and the next person tells me its miscounted. 5 different models, miscounted. If your inventory is that kind of a mess than get your freaking house in order and stop wasting people's time.

Unsatisfied- Don't order counter top through them if you have any kind of a deadline. Confirmed they would have it done before our tenants moved in, told us it had a 3 week turn around. Took 2.5 weeks before they even placed the order which would've took a week to return, and then that it would be another 3 weeks to install it- only found out as I took it upon myself to call top to floors (thankful that I did) Ended up cancelling order & going with another company. Manager did nothing to help with the situation, except give us a refund.
Clean store. If you go when it's not really busy, there are not very many staff which makes finding help a challenge and finding expertise in a certain area is not there.

Ol Home Depot, what's not to like. Other than their weekend hours. Paint lady was great, lots of pizzazz and even sang while making awesome color suggestions. Not busy this evening. Usually lots of friendly staff with orange aprons around to help you locate products. Prices are meh but they will match Kent. Selection is good, lookout for the add on sales! I don't need any more Milwaukee battery powered jackets.. Tool rental department is good. Verdict - great all around hardware store for weekend warriors and some contractors

Poor experience, I brought a fridge from Home Depot Charlottetown for 700 $ and they said that they would deliver the fridge after 20 days, when the day came for Home Depot to deliver the fridge they said that they would delay the delivery because of some "misunderstanding of the delivery date".

Went in looking for a simple kitchen faucet spout as mine has to be replaced, spent 15 minutes looking for one, had 3 employees walk right past without even saying "hello" or "can I help you with anything?". After not being able to find one, the next employee who walked by me I said "hi how are you doing?". As I was getting ready to ask if I could have some help, they replied "good", and immediately walked away before I could ask for help. Very poor customer service, so I'll go someplace that is actually willing to help me find what I need.

Tried to submit a review on Home Depot's website directly but it seems to keep getting deleted... I wonder why.... So I'm leaving it here, this review pertains to a specific experience (buying a new John Deere lawn tractor) but is reflective of many experiences I've had a this location First off there was zero customer service while ordering. The sales clerk really knew nothing about the mower at all. The mower delivery had to be changed because he also didn't realize the mower had to be gone over by a John Deere tech. Once figured out delivery did go fairly smoothly and for the first few mows I was fairly happy. However I quickly realized the deck was not leveled properly upon delivery. I just spent 3000 on a new mower and my old 2001 MTD mower did a better job. I called the store and spoke to the manager of the lawn and garden department. The manager told me it'd be a 3 week wait because it would need to be serviced by a John Deere dealer. I really didn't want to wait that long since my old mower was now gone. After some back and forth calling, the manager decided they could do it at home depot and it would only be gone for a week at most. That seemed reasonable to me and I said OK. I was instructed to leave my mower outside (since I wasn't going to be home), something I really didn't want to do since it's quite costly. It was agreed I could leave it in my back driveway since I have security cameras there and that made me feel safer. I called Home Depot the day the mower was to be picked up to confirm and to verify the driver knew it was in the back driveway. I was told if it's not out front they may just drive away so I wanted to make sure. I spoke to someone in the Lawn and Garden department and he couldn't find a work order for it to even be picked up at all. At that point I was getting pretty tired of the whole ordeal and told the man on the phone I'd simply buy a deck level and do it myself, however I'd have to find a neighbor whose garage I could use because it needed to be done on a level surface. The man on the phone said they'd reimburse me somehow if I came in but I really feel awkward about going in at this point. The whole process has soured me a bit and instead of enjoying my new mower I'm left annoyed. Like I said, I do like the mower but I really wish I could have bought it from a dealer but they were out of the model I was looking for. Customer service at Home Depot just really isn't great in my experience.

Excellent service 9/10 times. I've been there tons recently and have had a lot of good help. I really appreciate that they will cut lengths for you when you purchase wood or trim. It's helped me tons with driving a hatchback and not a truck! I've only had two less-than-stellar encounters- an older gentleman in the tool rental section who had no interest in helping or even acknowledging me... and one guy in paint who suggested a product that absolutely would not have worked for that I was doing. It just took reading the can to see it was an absolute no. ???? For the two not so great times, I probably had 8 excellent times. Even the younger guy helping with carts and car loading is kind and helpful.

Not enough staff for a busy saturday
I was a fan until my last 2 experiences here. I live 45 minutes away from the store. We went in looking for a John Deere tractor (start at 2600 after tax), we see a "Don't pay interest for 18 months sign" my brother mentioned there is an add online for a free cart with it. Perfect. We ask the man about the no interest thing. He says that's with the credit card. We say awesome, let's do it. (The credit limit was 1500, well below our credit level and the 2600 you'd need to get this "promotion"). I run to Walmart, my partner finds out eventually that the card won't cover it all. We pay 1100 out of pocket. Annoying but we got the tractor, forgot to mention the cart with all the stuff going on. Tossed to an employee who has no idea how to split the bill, who then has to get another employee who goes over everything the first one had and is now trying to tell us we have to pay for 1100 in cash, which was what we were at the register for in the first place. Two days later, it's in our driveway. My brother asks about the cart. I call, the guy on the phone can't get anyone from Seasonal on the phone. I say that's ok, I'll call back tomorrow as it was close to their closing time. I call back, get seasonal, the man on the phone says "ya we have a few, no problem, just bring your receipt to seasonal". I drive the 45 minutes, get there, go to seasonal, they now say they have no idea, I. Sent to customer service. Wait another 5-10 minutes while I'm told by a employee to stand right behind a senior male customer, I said "social distancing is still a thing right? I'll stay here on the marked spot" The woman and the man (same one who offered the credit card the first day we were here and the one who knew what I was there for this time) go over everything and say something about the company puts up deals online and takes them down again, and how I'd have to do a return and purchase again, I say fine, then after all this they say " oh you have the credit card. That was the promotion earlier this week, and you can't have both" so their credit card is offered as a "special", and I drove an hour and a half to be told I already had the "promotion", which was the 1500 dollar limit on a card for a purchase of something it wouldn't even cover. I'll go to Kent's from now on. At least they offer airmiles while they give ya the run around. P.s. employees were all very polite, but uninformed. They don't know, and wouldn't know the online deals according to the woman who I dealt with at customer service. How can your seasonal section employees not be aware of seasonal offers? Especially the old guy who walks around like he owns the place. Also he once told my friend and I to go buy a dishwasher somewhere else, years ago, and took his earpiece out to whisper it to us. Lol

Thinking of a new kitchen? Yes, the kitchen design staff is nice but they outsource with a company called Granit Design and they are the problem. They did NOT transform my vision and now I am relentlessly inconvenienced. Because of this I am strongly advising you to go somewhere else.

Great experience tonight. Stopped in to grab some indoor/outdoor carpet glue. Stopped by the paint and adhesives isle but couldn't find it. I stopped an employee to ask where it was and, instead of just telling me, he walked me back to the flooring isle and right to the shelf. That is the kind of service that makes me want to spend my money in an establishment. I wish I had gotten his name as it was a level of service you don't find often enough.

Was told order was ready got there notthing said it would take 10mins to get ready and 45 mins later still no one talk to a manger to go find the guys and he wasn't even where he should of been would not recommend to anyone . I left the plant and the store, then I needed to purchase a specific paint color I phoned the store, they left me on hold for over 7 minutes then someone came on the line and said someone would call me back, 4 hours later they did but the person that called said they had no idea if they had the paint in stock and perhaps I should just call back later. Ha 8 am delivery dosnt show up till 130 they loaded up and drove right by to go to tignish. They "forgot to load our material. And to top it off they didn't send the whole order when we got it. Waste of time going there to pick up material they forgot.. Not that hard to read a list and load a truck. PS thanks for the green post should have been brown. You need better help

Entire store powerless to deal with problems. Absolutely awful ongoing experience that no one seems willing or capable of resolving. Store Location: 60 Buchanan Drive, Charlottetown, PE Store Manager: Michael Conner On February 26th, 2019, I paid for a washer, dryer, and dishwasher, 9 weeks later, 5 repairs, hours and hours on the phone with 6+ different people, NONE of the appliances are working properly. As of right now, $2089.47 has purchased me: * 3 brand new appliances which either work poorly or not at all. * 2 full days of vacation time from work spent for repair calls. * Literally hours on the phone with Home Depot representatives, Mabe warranty representatives, and repair service dealers over the past 9 weeks in an effort to resolve the situation. * Stress for myself in dealing with this circus and stress for my family as we work around a lack of functioning appliances and Home Depot holds on to the money that I would gladly spend elsewhere for actual working machines. * May 29th, 2019 - The situation is STILL no closer to being resolved! What I want is to magically go back in time and never to have dealt with Home Depot in the first place. Since that is actually impossible, I will accept the full refund on my money, removal of the faulty appliances from my home at a time that does not require me to leave work, and to never have to deal with Home Depot again. Unlike time travel, this is absolutely possible and requires only that someone at the business takes responsibility and does what is right. Does this have to go all the way up to Jeff Kinnaird to be resolved?

Terrible experience. Bought a 300 dollar rangehood only to find out after opening box that an accessory needed for round ducting installation, was sold seperately so i cant install. Accessory is a SKU but out of stock and not one person could tell me anything on new shipment or if it was at another store. Should be clearly stated on outside of box that this item sold seperately. Also, an online rep give me contact for supplier in order to get myself. I tried that and they say have lots of stock but costs more to ship to me than part is worth. I cant understand how a Home Depot purchaser cant get an answer on delivery while supplier says they have lots in stock. What a rotten experience on something that should be so basic. It was a Nutone rangehood by the way

Went to home depot today to try and buy a snow blower. It was really an experience worth writing about. First off the guy in charge of the snow blower section was the most unorganized guy I met in a while. I had to school him on the features of the toro such as the snow shoot control which they have a patent for, and how the engine stalls when over worked cutting down on the need for sheer bolts. The poor old fellow seemed interested and it's good I could teach him a thing or two about the products he is trying to sell me. I still wanted a couple extra sheer bolts so he went to look for them and come back with a pack he said "I think will work, they are a little long though" I gave up on the torro machine because it was a bit bigger than I needed. He said he had some Ariens out back that were 24" I said great! Half the machines back there didn't have prices on them, he didn't know the prices and had to keep running out front for each individual machine I asked him about and then come back with the price, good boy lassy! One had no keys with it the other had no manual, I told him I could live without the manual but I kinda need the keys, he suggested going to vessys to get a universal key? What kinda company suggests that? Ok so by now I'm annoyed, I call vessys they had 1 24" Arien left, I told the sales guy to hold it I'll be there, before I hung up I asked him if he had keys and sheer bolts to fit that machine. He chuckled and said he did. Long story short I was very pleased with vessys. I recommend to anyone who is half smart at all and wanting to apply themsleves to look into a job at home depot Charlottetown. I would not be surprised if in 6 months a good worker could be managing the store, a great worker could probably be CEO lol. This is not my first horrendous experience with home depot and I'm certain it won't be my last but those are stories for another time and another review.

I like some things about home depot usually cheaper than Kent ..but like Kent, their staff have zero knowledge due to high turnover and low paying of employee's
Staff are standing around talking to each other instead of helping with loading lumber on cart or on the truck. The one staff that offered to help had no idea how to and just got in the way until told to leave. AND the large doors for exiting with lumber did not work.
Store is spacious, easy to move around and find merchandise. Staff are knowledgeable and ready to help.

My husband & I have been searching for a storm door for our house for over three weeks so we decided to visit your store on Thursday, September 17th around 4'ish. Our first encounter was with a male clerk down by the doors & window section. This gentleman was busy with a customer so he told us where to look. We had questions so went back to wait our turn when a lady clerk with short greyish hair came along and asked if she could help which I must say she did. She helped us look through the various doors and then went back to the computer and discovered that there should be some just coming off the truck so off she goes and returns with one on a trolley. We feel that this lady went above and beyond to help us out. We were so excited we forgot to get her name. We both agreed that this is what customer service is all about - friendly professional service and willing to go that extra mile to please a customer. Our experience with this lady definitely will encourage us to return to Home Depot again. Thank You for your Exceptional Service. I should also note that this lady's shift was almost to an end. Hoping this will enable you to identify her and pass along our thanks to her.

No staff to help me find what I was looking for. No carts for plywood available and staff not following social distancing etiquette. P
They could not find the tiles I needed though they were apparently in stock somewhere. There was no one there to sign for getting a cash return on a Saturday afternoon. I could pick it up on Monday morning.. They ordered more tiles but won't arrive for two weeks.

One of the men that works in the tool rental department has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Rodney is the persons name. From not answering the phone to sitting in the little back room while people are waiting at the cash area. Three different occasions where I had to get another staff member to go in this room and get him. When he finally arrives he makes you feel like he is doing you a favour by even showing up to take my money. Having done many home renovations I am very aware of how much materials and which tools I require. Time and time again I have either had Rodney try to up sell me far to much material or the wrong equipment (once sent me on my way with a sander and no cord, he proceeded to blame a young guy when it was Rodney who I was dealing with) When I tell him I have used X product and Y machine before I have been met with responses such as: obviously you are not doing it properly, or you should just hire someone. I am sure he has a lot of product and store knowledge, but that guy needs a serious customer service update. When I see that he is working I will usually borrow a tool from a friend or just leave the store completely. Today I am on the phone trying to be connected to the rental department (yes he is working I asked). I was transfered 4 (5 by the end of my call today) times and no one even picked up the phone to say one moment please. A young girl took my call and tried to help me out, but was not sure about the products. I am in the hotel and restuarant business where a smile and a hello go a long way. If I walked into the rental store and Rodney greeted me with a smile and "how may I help you today sir." I would probably laugh so loud the lights would shake. At least I would know that management has taken this complaint (and it is a direct complaint about his work ethic and service level) seriously and talked with the staff member. Today I had a guest tell me that one of my employees was "fantastic, but the other day another staff member did not seem happy and wasnt smiling." I congratulated one staff member and had a private talk with the other staff member about customer service. On the third day the same guest came up to me and said 'you must have had a talk with your staff, because today she was so helpful and friendly' I thanked the guest for making me aware of the situation because as managers we can not always witness our staffs behaviour and interaction with our clients that in the end pay our bills or stay and shop elsewhere. Good luck to Rodney. I may be by the store in the next couple days and if I receive Rodney's personal standard level of service I will send you another note detailing my experience. As for the rest of the Charlottetown store: Flooring department is very good and helpful, paint is great, lumber (usually get it myself) good service, cashier provide good service, but I find the best counter people are always by the loading dock door. Like any business we have good apples and bad apples. In my personal opinion Rodney has fallen off of the company tree and has been laying on the ground rotting and probably affecting other apples.
No one ever came to us to see if we needed any help with anything. Couldn't find a thing we were looking for .

Extremely disappointed with their flooring service. Went to order flooring for instillation beginning of July. They told us to come back early August as they did not have an installer. Came back in August. Paid to have someone come quote us. I was told he would call to set up an appointment within 24-48 hours. One week I went to the store. After we got the quote, I paid for the flooring and instillation. After 11,days I went back to the store as I was given no further calls or updated. I was told by Mark, that the installer would call between Monday and Wednesday. They did not call. I will so be asking for a refund and going elsewhere. Get it together Home Depot.
