When I first contacted Deborah I really did not think she could have such an impact on my design, afterall, I thought I was pretty good at decorating. She was at my house for 2 hours and a bit. She gave me lots of information , ideas and colors to go with. I had the chance to write everything down in fact , she followed though and emailed me all my inforamtion. The transformation of my exterior and interior of my house has been gigantic. She picked colors that I would of never picked for example for my front door, and the shutters to match. She helped me with ligthing inside the house, and funiture and picture arrangements that have made a huge difference in my interior space. She knows her colors. I now shop for specific items that are on my list, its made shopping alot more fun. I am about to start my kitchen project that she suggested and its going to be my dream kitchen. I would highly recommend Dehorah even if you think you are a good decorator.

I was difficulty making up my mind about a kitchen renovation that I had been wanting to do for a while. I had gotten samples and simply couldn’t make up my mind. I could get to a certain point about decision but felt it incomplete and was quite lost. I had been given Deborah’s name so I gave her a call. She was very helpful. We moved into an apartment after living in houses for the past 35 years. We sold most of our furnishings and wanted to start fresh. After doing some research with other interior decorators and an initial super friendly and super helpful phone interview we hired Deborah to help put our vision of a comfy/sophisticated living room together. I have had the great pleasure to work with Deborah Nicholson over the years. Deborah was very inspirational when we were listing our home for sale. She re-designed our living space to show it in the best possible light and we consulted with her on paint colours, lighting, and creatively getting the word out to appeal to a wide audience. Deborah is a keen listener, intuitive and so much fun to work with, putting you at ease every step of the way. We invited Deborah into our home to advise and guide us through a complete refurbishment of our kitchen. All the cabinetry was outdated oak. The under-cabinet lighting as well as ceiling fixtures were not only outdated but not in the least effective. We did a walk through with Deborah to show her what works for us and what doesn't. Together we chose paint colours for the cabinets and decided on a beautiful countertop. Deborah was ever mindful of our budget and offered many different options for lighting and sinks. While I was certain we needed to spend more money on replacing our hardware, she asked that we sit tight with what we had, as it would look entirely different on the painted cabinets and she was so right. She referred us to the most competent cabinet maker, Kardia Cabinetry, who was also a joy to work with. We LOVE our kitchen makeover. It feels like we're in a new home. If you need an experienced professional who is extremely knowledgeable on every aspect of design, decor and lighting, and thoroughly loves what she is doing, look no further.
